thought i ought to do a public service and announce it properly as hardly anyone seems to know you can buy this stuff to use at home - and it works out sooo much cheaper than having it done at a salon even tho it's the exact same stuff.

i've only used it once so far (for 3 mins) but have been properly amazed by the results - as i posted on another thread, my 11s have reduced by 50% [holy grail] and my skin generally looks brighter and more even.

you do it weekly, building up the time over 6 weeks and then have a break.

don't forget to get the neutraliser (apparently just bicarb but maybe has crushed fairies' castles in it too so your choice) and use sun block in the day.

Yep one peel. I did do it for 3 minutes though after seeing reports of not much happening with 1 min peels. My skin tends to be pretty tough so was sure it would be ok - and it is fine.

The blackhead thing has shocked and delighted me. The crepy bit under my eye is still de-creped too and pores still tiny, and now blackhead free.

GA 30% have done 2 peels, 3mins then approx 5min didn't really pay that much attention

Soo glad you are are riddled with black heads too- I ahve them on my cheeks now, I NEVER get thehm on my cheeks

10% SA 3rd peel done. Not as stingy as last time. Slathered face in HA serum so we'll see how bad I peel tomorrow.

Been lurking on this thread for a while...... has anyone tried the lactic acid peel? I have rosacea, and don't know whether the GA would be too harsh?

I have done 5 mins number 3 GA.

It is very strange. It seems everything that's under the skin, comes to the surface.

I have some milia on the top of my cheekbones - they have come out. I have had a few tiny spots come out on my forehead (never get them there).

I am impressed - my skin is starting to look somewhat luminous.

1 day after my first peel, I continue to be in awe!

One side of my 11's has flattened out a LOT. It's still there, but has reduced an awful lot. The other '11' is the deepest one, and that isn't looking too shabby either, it's reduced also but not to the extent of the other one. Pores still tiny and crepey bit still de-creped.

I can't wait to do the next one, but I will wait another 3 days.

I did have a couple of patches of more senstive skin on my chin, and they have flared up a bit with slight redness but other than that I'm looking glowy already and blackheadless, and very slightly less lined.

I think my skin likes GA!!!

I've done it 3 times now. Blackheads gone, pores are now tiny and I look smoother and fresher.. someone wrongly guessed my age at 27 the other day :o (I'm 42)

Make up goes on much better and stays put, I'm not getting all greasy and shiny looking after a couple of hours anymore either. Luckily I haven't had a breakout of spots.. and the dark patch caused by a spot I fiddled with on my chin is all but gone.

I didn't deliberately apply it under my eyes - more sort of smeared it there cos I'm a bit clutzy but my dark circles are definitely lighter - I don't have a lot of lines there but I think it's smoother.

I might brave right under the eyes next time. Oooh this is so exciting.

Definately reccomend the HA serum for those using SA I left the peel on for 3 mins this time and had no peeling at all just glowy skin.

wayne it seems most of us haven't found GA harsh at all. this isn't exactly scientific proof tho as I wonder if it tends to be those of us with rhino skin who go for the GA anyway.

Was going to wait until this evening, after shopping with DS, but the urge is too much. Have opened to neutraliser (3 minutes) and mixed to a runny paste [good girl emoticom].

Desperate for improvements to my haggard old face and would love some erect blackheads too . Is eradication of my = lines (horizontal 11's) too much to wish for?

I just did 1st 20% SA (had prev done 3 peels with 10% SA)
Left on for 6 mins, did burn but no more than the other, face looks exactly the same.............just slathered serum and cream on, hoping for something to happen overnight....
Am wondering whether I should have gone for the GA, I opted for SA as I thought it did more for pores than the GA, can anyone verify this???

I am using 10% SA and it has made no difference to my blackheads or blotchy bits. My skin is softer but spots have appeared!!

From what I've gathered GA is better for pores SA is better for acne or compacted pores and blackheads but SA takes longer to see results.

GA works more on top layers of skin therefore see results quicker but SA works more deeply.

Wonder if it is the SA that has brought all the spots out. I normally always have a couple of spots but my chin, above my mouth and middle of my forehead have loads. Especially my chin which is so bumpy!

Tempted to try GA .... maybe a higher strength.

prob is I don't have acne.....
combo skin, pores on nose/side of nose/cheeks but dry outer cheeks and eyes...
no crows feet/wrinkles really, just a bit of crepeyness under eyes
some thread veins on side of nose/beg of cheeks
some unneven skintone

??????
