thought i ought to do a public service and announce it properly as hardly anyone seems to know you can buy this stuff to use at home - and it works out sooo much cheaper than having it done at a salon even tho it's the exact same stuff.

i've only used it once so far (for 3 mins) but have been properly amazed by the results - as i posted on another thread, my 11s have reduced by 50% [holy grail] and my skin generally looks brighter and more even.

you do it weekly, building up the time over 6 weeks and then have a break.

don't forget to get the neutraliser (apparently just bicarb but maybe has crushed fairies' castles in it too Hmm so your choice) and use sun block in the day.

anyone a veteran of the stuff and care to share your results?

GA 30% 2 Days post 7 minute peel Smile

Have had a few spots appear on my chin. Forehead a bit dry with minor flaking which is not really noticeable to anyone other than me > Overall skin feels smoother but think it maybe bringing my blackheads out!!

Just checking in. Just done my second one. Left it on for four minutes. I'd say it was irritating rather than stinging or burning. Just a bit pink on my nose. Did face (and under eyes!), neck and chest. Figured after a year of Obagi I could start at that!

I did OFTC. Just on the second one.
Have to say, only thing that ever made a diff under the eyes for me was prescription Retin A.

Just can't use at mo as still BF....

I have a feeling that SA causes peeling more than the GA, my nose is hellish today, am holding out til saturday (day 5) to try my SA 20% Grin which will be peel no. 4

I have to say, I have noticed today that, albeit peeling, my pores/blackheads on nose are visibly reduced, hoping that the 20% will kickstart line reduction/skintone evenness/general 20somethinglikeness

I'm going to do peel 3 10%SA tonight. It's 6 days since my last peel but I thought this way if I really peel again I have the weekend to recover. Last time I left my bare afterwards as it says that gives the best results but now I have the HA serum I will definately be using that and maybe a bit of bio oil.

Ive come out in spots since doing my peel on Tuesday, even in places where I dont normally get them!

I did read on my information sheet that came with the peels that its not the peel itself that is doing anything to your skin, its when the skin repairs itself between peels that does it.

Mandelic acid 15% 3 peels

Oh no pink glow. I think it's just us on the mandelic variety isn't it?
I have left 4 days between peels and think there is a definate improvement, skin is softer but have yet to hit my usual spotty time of my cycle so not sure if it will help that aspect.
Am eagerly observing my pigmentation blobs to see if any change there, as that's supposed to be the thing the mandelic acid is recommended for, but no real change yet.

Well Ive also started the oil cleansing meathord so it could also be that, my skin always reacts badly to new skin care changes so Im not too bothered about it, it should settle down in a week (hopefully)

Ok have received mine at last and done my first peel. I think it was about 2.5 to 3 minutes 30% GA

Stung a little bit, and the sizzle was very stingy but perfectly bearable and doesn't last long. Hooyah bugger though for 10 seconds or so!

My pores have gone TINY already - don't know if that is just a temporary thing for immediately after or not? but woah, they have shrunk right up.

Did neautraliser twice and have followed it with spf.

Looking closesly with mirror, i did have a patch of crepey skin under my left eye which creases up when i sleep on my left with my face all scrunched up on the pillow - and that has puffed out and isn't crepey now. Will see if that lasts too!

I did the 3rd peel for 3mins on Tuesday night, my skin has been horrible since, dry and peeling on my chin and round my nose, and the pores seem to be, ahem, pouring out gunk...

So not looking my best..in desparation have just done OCM and scrubbed my face with sugar and honey, slathered myself in moisturiser and will try some oats and yoghurt later to soothe my skin.

Bit fed up actually, going to have to hold out till at least Tuesday for the next one, as the really dry patches where my spots were have gone all scabby.

on the plus side, can see that where I had really deep blocked pores under the skin, they have started to come to the surface more, and seem more uncovered than before, so maybe that is the start of something.

I asked dd if she wanted to sizzle with me.

She told me to sod off (spoilsport).

DP has asked what I have had done. He keeps looking at me and saying I look different. And this is from a man who didn't notice when I had botox. So I told him and he wants to have a go (doing it this weekend as he works outside).

It's like my pores have shrunk so much it's squidged them out.

I am taking the opportunity to rip them out full with a biore pore strip.
