*sounds klaxon* 30% GA peel shizzle that you can do at home

thought i ought to do a public service and announce it properly as hardly anyone seems to know you can buy this stuff to use at home - and it works out sooo much cheaper than having it done at a salon even tho it's the exact same stuff.

i've only used it once so far (for 3 mins) but have been properly amazed by the results - as i posted on another thread, my 11s have reduced by 50% [holy grail] and my skin generally looks brighter and more even.

you do it weekly, building up the time over 6 weeks and then have a break.

the magic goo is here: www.bravuralondon.com/glycolic-acid-30.html

don't forget to get the neutraliser (apparently just bicarb but maybe has crushed fairies' castles in it too Hmm so your choice) and use sun block in the day.

anyone a veteran of the stuff and care to share your results?

p.s. i don't work for bravura and i'm a MN regular recently name-changed to separate my S&B chat with my over-sharing on other threads.

yes

MissFoodie · 12/04/2012 14:22

hahahah
well, if we are all running round after doing our current peels does this mean you'd be doing a Samantha the Beekeeper (in SiTC) after one of those????

ggirltwin2pinot · 12/04/2012 14:24

another query
on this site they say peels can be used under the eyes?
wonder what % they're using
would love to use it under my eyes

ggirltwin2pinot · 12/04/2012 14:24

this site

MissFoodie · 12/04/2012 14:26

am not sure I would yet, but didnt someone else on this thread use under eyes???

ggirltwin2pinot · 12/04/2012 14:32

really ?
will search

MissFoodie · 12/04/2012 14:34

hehe yes, think she said something about having rhino skin...???

ggirltwin2pinot · 12/04/2012 14:57

yy that was katiescarlett

crispyhedgehog also applied under her eyes

i am very tempted , seems daft not to apply it to the one area that bloody needs it

KatieScarlett2833 · 12/04/2012 15:38

Yes, still applying under eyes twice weekly.

Working rather well too even if I say so myself... Grin

MissFoodie · 12/04/2012 15:54

twice a week?
which one are you using?
v intrigued now

ggirltwin2pinot · 12/04/2012 18:32

yes katie!! I need to know. Am def up for sizzling my eyes!

cybbo · 12/04/2012 18:34

has anyone else commented that our skin is looking better?

Cos no fucker has for me yet

cocolepew · 12/04/2012 18:36

I look like shit. It's a paper bag i need.

catinboots · 12/04/2012 18:45

Ooh we. My mandelic/salicylic acid arrived today. I need it for my pigmentation and it was what was recommended on Forever 's Facebook page.

Hopefully I wont frazzle like before Grin

MissFoodie · 12/04/2012 18:51

where's katie gone????

ggirltwin2pinot · 12/04/2012 19:33

cybbo -you're obviously too damn gorgeous and they're intimidated by your beauty

SeasonOfTheWitch · 12/04/2012 20:19

who's thinking of going up to 50% next time?

is it only SAers who have had peeling skin? i've had no peeling at all even after 7 mins of GA.

VG pics whiter and you do look glowy in your new ones. so you rate the serum then (is it the bravura one?)

i'd love to use something under my eyes too but it could do some kind of thinning voodoo there and then make it more wrinkly in the long run (disclaimer: not actual science)

i always thought i was lucky as my under-eyes arent that liney but i've actually noticed them more since the rest of my face has improved Hmm

cyb i wouldn't do the 'patch-test' too regularly. LtheWife's explanation about needing to let the skin recover for 4 days after each peel did sound pretty factual.

SeasonOfTheWitch · 12/04/2012 20:21

thinking about my under-eyes - i've had about 2 hours sleep over the past 8 weeks of DCs with crappy chicken pox and fucking hand, foot & mouth etc so that might explain why they've looked worse than usual...

rusmum · 12/04/2012 20:33

Done number 3 for 5 minutes. No noticeable effect yet!! Sad should there be!?

ggirltwin2pinot · 12/04/2012 21:01

My under eye area has becoming more wrinkly since about age 47
haven't hit menopause yet which is when it will rapidly decline..am 50 in June and that's when it hit my mum ....aaargh!
desperately need something to offset the inevitable

WeesaD · 12/04/2012 21:25

Interesting that that site said not to rely on the clock so much but to look for when the skin is turning pink - have you seen this anyone?

Whitershadeofpale · 12/04/2012 21:25

Yes it's this serum I find it really hydrating with no oiliness at all which is great for me as although my skin gets very dry anything too heavy brings me out in spots. I've only used it for 3 days so probably too early to really see effects but after my 2nd SA peel my face peeled quite badly especially on and around my nose and cheeks. One application got rid of all of it.

cocolepew · 12/04/2012 21:50

Oh FFS, I've come out in spots today, DD asked if I had chicken pox Sad

WeesaD · 12/04/2012 21:59

It would really help me if at the first line of our posts we put something like
GA 30% 2

As I find it hard to keep track of what everyone is using/ where they are .... Or is it just that my memory is shot?Confused

SeasonOfTheWitch · 12/04/2012 22:11

GA 30% [good girl]

coco i checked online about spots and apparently peels do bring them out. i had a bad break out last week but all ok again now.
