thought i ought to do a public service and announce it properly as hardly anyone seems to know you can buy this stuff to use at home - and it works out sooo much cheaper than having it done at a salon even tho it's the exact same stuff.

i've only used it once so far (for 3 mins) but have been properly amazed by the results - as i posted on another thread, my 11s have reduced by 50% [holy grail] and my skin generally looks brighter and more even.

you do it weekly, building up the time over 6 weeks and then have a break.

don't forget to get the neutraliser (apparently just bicarb but maybe has crushed fairies' castles in it too so your choice) and use sun block in the day.

As posted previously, I'm using GA. Tuesday saw peel number 2, left on for 5 minutes, and I just wanted to add that while I'm still having blackhead issues, my skin is markedly better, hence this post.

My skin is softer, smoother, the pores so much smaller and yesterday, when I got a rather large spot on my jaw line, it was easy to tackle (I used the Tweezerman extractor) and having just looked in the mirror, am surprised and thrilled that all evidence has disappear, something I'd definitely attribute to the GA as in the past, this kind of spot would take at least a week for it to a) come to a head and b) lose its redness after I'd extracted.

So in short, I thin this stuff is really rather marvellous. I ordered SA 20% in a bid to try and tackle the blackheads, so am rather hopeful to say the least. I'm feeling much better about my skin than I have done in years.

(On a side note, there was a hugely interesting article in May's edition of Elle suggesting that a lot of adult acne is caused by emotional upset/distress, something I always suspected about my own problem skin as doctors could kind no cause and medication didn't work)

I've been using the SA 10% but have just ordered the 20%, think I need to ramp up as nothing happening; have done it twice, will see if anything happens after third, but so far, no difference to pores or smoothness....?

actually, just used an exfoliator and skin is a lot softer than after I usually use it - looks the same, but feels nicer, so guess the SA must have gotten rid of a layer of crap after all!

I've just done my second SA peel burnt like hell and was bright red straight after but ok now just slightly pink. I left it on for 2mins this time but I don't start the timer until after its all on. I start with my forhead first then nose then chin then cheeks so the most sesnsitive parts get the least time iykwim.

whiter let us know what its like tomorrow, can you see any diff to pores yet?

Will do feels a bit tight at the moment and looks like I've put a gel or something on it sort of tight and slight sheen.

It doesn't come with instructions, so took me a while (and several You Tube tutorials) to learn how to use it properly and when I did, OH. THE. JOY. You must buy one, truly.

does anybody put make-up on the next day? ive done mines twice now seen a slight improvment this time around but day two ive just been going back to my dermalogica skin care routine as well as covering my face in foundation
