Love that photo of Miranda Kerr too suburban.

Dauphin · 23/03/2012 19:43

Hi Suburban - enjoyed your blog! And I do like the sandals.

Decam snap. Love that satchel too.

Mrscb I have white skinnies from Miss Selfridge, and they are lovely and properly skinny and very good quality. Can recommend too.

What a glorious day it's been.

Happy weekends everyone!

Dauphin · 23/03/2012 19:44

Cheers Bloss!

Slaymill · 23/03/2012 19:48

That was the one I wanted last yr Decameron it was in beige though I think I like the red better.

hopefully I`m sure you looked beautiful.

Ouch annie I agree with your advice to MiM hope you have a better weekend.

I have SIL over tomorrow so making cupcakes. Thats going to help my diet !

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2012 19:52

How annoying Slay, suspect yours was a higher amount than mine. But still annoying!

Dh is out, lucky thing. Would rather be where he is. Need to sort the babysitter .

blossoming · 23/03/2012 20:04

I think this breton has a white background Grin
reine, this is the J Crew bikini. I haven't bought it verity. I'm being a bit indecisive. I know I'm more toned than ever: slay, Jillian Michaels 6 Week 6 Pack dvd has been incredible in helping me shift the 'pregnancy shelf' look. I used to come out from the empire line as if I was 4 months gone. That is very much improved now. Still don't feel bikini ready though. Are you watching the Leinster game? Poor Ospreys!

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2012 20:05

Hmm is it good Bloss. Maybe I will try it.

On the plus side I just said to ds2 close your eyes and go to sleep.... and he did!

FritziGreenEyes · 23/03/2012 20:28

bloss You know you need that bikini Wink

Fleecy · 23/03/2012 20:32

annie glad you like the dress ? my first thought on looking at the link was that it was a bit short on the (5ft 10?) model so I would imagine it would be perfect on someone not quite so tall and a great colour on you.

Pickled you are naughty!

Suburban glad you?re staying. I?m going to check out the stripey DP top I think. If you were looking at lurker numbers you?d have to subtract all of us from your count!

Ollie love those sandals in the pink and tan

mim lovely to hear from you. I bled with DS and DD2 and it was horrid but Lansinoh was a great help. Plus curling the old toes at every feed for a while Grin Someone gave me a great tip - just aim for one more feed. So think, I'll just do the next one. Then you can 'just' do the one after that etc.

bretonbee · 23/03/2012 20:34

Grrr Ocado rang to say that they delivered my shopping to the wrong place and now I can't get it until tomorrow Hmm worst thing is now I have no wine Angry unless I open a very good bottle of red!

Marsha if half term is first week in June then I am actually away on holiday that week so don't worry about fitting around my schedule. Will have to do another time.

Ollie I popped into Gap earlier and that circles jumper is all navy but the white is an off white rather than a white white.

Mim you sound like you are doing brilliantly, I remember being completely shocked that bf hurt to start with.

bloss I thought that top looked great and was thinking about it for work also...will wait and try on.

Had lovely sunny afternoon in park here so looking forward to more of the same this weekend, happy weekends all. Meeting friends at a smart brunch place tomorrow morning (with DS - hope he behaves)...what to wear?!

blossoming · 23/03/2012 20:37

fritzi, I worry the bottoms will a) dig in (I like tie sides) and b) the bottoms will sit under my CS 'shelf'.
Good to see you fleecy and great advice. I was of the decam school of thought though unfortunately!

Emo76 · 23/03/2012 20:43

hello suburban I like your blog, some great looks!
mim hope you are slowly on the mend you haven't half had a bad time of it Thanks

watching programme about people trying to sell their houses and not realising they should perhaps declutter and repaint over various lurid shades. D'oh.

FritziGreenEyes · 23/03/2012 20:43

bloss I know what you mean. I sized up in the bottoms of my Seafolly bikini. Nothing is digging in and the coverage for me is great. I can only wear it for sunbathing though as the bottoms become a bit, ahem, lose when I'm in the water Smile.

MarshaBrady · 23/03/2012 20:43

Anniemac when is your half-term?

Breton 19 degrees tomorrow! Wear something light and easy. A long sleeve dress? Or light top and skinnies. Go for something you really like in your wardrobe.

blossoming · 23/03/2012 21:10

Yes, I like back coverage too fritzi. Still like the violet lake ones too. Can I bear to have even more returns cluttering my floor?

GeorginaWorsley · 23/03/2012 21:36

Mim re breastfeeding, have just done the 2 day Baby Friendly Initiative course that paediatric nurses and midwives have to do.
Can you get someonr to check that your baby's attachment is correct?
Sometimes a change of feeding position helps.
I do sympathise,remember it well!

Hopefully · 23/03/2012 21:39

MIM rugby ball hold gave me some relief (read: chafed new bits of skin, giving the old bits time to heal) in the early days of feeding. Hope you're soon ok Smile

Fleecy · 23/03/2012 21:46

Oh yes, I did rugby hold on one side. DD2 fed from one side and not the other for a while and I struggled to get her on. midwife suggested doing rugby hold on that side - apparently some babies just like lying one side up and not the other. I was a bit sceptical - but it worked!

bloss I was the same with DD1. Lasted 3 days or 5 days, can't remember, then a huge sense of relief going on to bottles! Think that probably helped with the others as I didn't feel too much pressure to bf knowing that they would be fine if I couldn't!

Colour experts, is this any good for a Spring or would it only really do a Summer? I like it. If it's fine, has anyone seen a cheaper one? Inspired by red but the Gap one too small for me.

blossoming · 23/03/2012 21:58

Denim is odd fleecy. I saw lots on the JL website. I think a pale denim suits blonde hair.

Fleecy · 23/03/2012 22:44

Good for blondes you say? Grin

I will explore JL and see what they've got. I'm thinking the shirt with red or pink skinnies or even white denim shorts.

AmberNectarine · 24/03/2012 05:18

Argh, this accursed baby was up at 4.40am, and if course it's my turn to get up! Tomorrow it'll be DH's and she'll lay in til 8 no doubt [zombie]

Hello. Thank for all for the Bf advice.

Very quick, but urgent question. Can anyone recommend a good electric pump? Any suggestions re brands etc?

Or should I just hire one as not sure I will be able to pump for long anyway?

Sorry for all the BF talk, had the latch checked loads and loads. It seems good but she has such a strong suckle that I cannot bear her on me, especially I am already pretty damaged. Also she is feeding massive amounts so can't get enough time to heal.

Have been using loads of Lansinoh.

So pumping is all I can do for now if I want to Bf.

Mw's cannot believe how strong her suck is, whIch is good to hear in that at least it's not me being a total wuss!!

Can't wait to get home!!

Again, sorry for the graphic non style chat!!

Love to you all ....

AmberNectarine · 24/03/2012 06:24

I used an Avent one, but didn't really get on with it (or pumping, not sure which) - I've heard good things about the Medela swing.

Sorry to hear you're so sore, but glad the little one is doing well!

MIM I borrowed one from the hospital when I had second dc as he was in NICU - think its the same one that the NCT hire out - could be worth checking that out as it was very very efficient. Good luck!

Just watched 4 deer in the misty field at the bottom of my garden - a pretty good way to start the day.
