Not very inspiring- think the tiredness is showing!

Fritzi, that is a gorgeous dress.

Bloss, hope you are ok.

Monimatrix, I like the sound of the Isabel Marant dress.

Ollie, I like the scarf. I use an Orla Keily bag as my changing bag. I don't see many of them. I like the retro print.

Icey, your DS is gorgeous.

Looby, how are you feeling? When is your baby due?

Bonsoir, generating dress-wearing occasions in glamorous locations really made me smile!

I think I need a few new tops (due to the washing machine eating mine). Selling my Baby Bjorn carrier (baby is now 9 kilos!) so may purchase a Me and Em top later. :)

It's a nice afternoon so we are off to the park.

Russianred · 13/03/2012 14:31

Fritzi those Edelman's are gorgeous - they're the exact shape as the tan Gap pair I have which have finally given up the ghost (after 4 years). Unfortunately they are too much for me for sandals. Grrr. Should anyone see a similar shape for less on their travels, please send a link my way.

Blue you are very kind, but he may have been right on this occasion. I bought them when PG with DD in the late stages (so can blame the hormones), thinking they would look great with a simple breton and converse on days when I was at home and wanting to feel comfortable. They are, ahem, wide-leg indigo lightweight denim from Autograph Weekend

blossoming · 13/03/2012 14:35

Thanks issima. Not dark enough though. I wish Boden would sort that out!
Yes to crumpled mess red. I am officially anti linen this S/S!
Shame about the Marni apuski.

AmberNectarine · 13/03/2012 14:42

Right I come bearing Carven news! Tried on the blue one in matches this morning, is lovely, lovely dress. Kind of stretchy t shirt fabric, so not very forgiving but reckon I could (just) get away with it. However, sticking point for me is the high neckline and chest ruching made my boobs look enormous! Not sure, may wait for sales by which point bf will hopefully be distant memory.

While I was in there I also found my white cotton top for the summer here which is very sweet. Hoping it will look good with my silver sandals which are nowhere to be seen!

Hope all poorly children (and bloss) are feeling much better soon!

fritzi lovely dress!

marsha hope the Lanvins live up to your expectations

mim no CS advice, but hope you go into labour spontaneously before your date!

Feel so conflicted re. MU. So want to be there but know to do so will be to leave DH with a nightmare baby, and while he probably deserves it, he does work hard and that's noone's idea of a fun Saturday night. And I have nothing to wear.

Afternoon Ladies.
Decam 'hope that yesterday wasn't too tough.
Shame about the Marni Apuski, I would be interested in the silk top if it's still available. Is it very big?
Harrogate really is a beautiful city, I had never been there until yesterday. It's like a cross between Marlebone high st and Tunbridge Wells, we should consider it for a meet up.
Hopefully I hope that DS gets better soon.
Bloss Do take care of yourself.

OllieinOrange · 13/03/2012 14:46

Just browsing the InWear site and liked this dress for someone else. No idea which season it would suit tho - there's a lot of stripe action on it!

here

AmberNectarine · 13/03/2012 14:52

That's not a bad idea FLE, I could be gloriously fresh faced and jealous in the face of all the hangovers...

Can everyone just say a little prayer for my DD to start sleeping through the evenings with the next 5 days?!

FritziGreenEyes · 13/03/2012 14:54

I extended my lunch break from home office for a hot lava shell massage. Pure bliss, can highly recommend!

bloss I guess if you are shaky your blood sugar is too low? Can you eat some fruit or a musli bar maybe? Hope things improve.

I guess the calorie counting pal is highly inaccurate anyway. Does it take into account how many calories you burn by just running around after your DC, shopping etc? I think Jillian has developed some new gadget that wear like a wristband and it gives you a more accurate idea of your calorie burn.

OllieinOrange · 13/03/2012 15:01

Amber thats such a pretty top. just the sort of thing I need to replace one I have which is now pretty much a rag!

red have you see the various NL sandals - here. Mine from last year and still have plenty of wear in them.
Next has these too if its animal print you are after here

Russianred · 13/03/2012 15:07

Amber that is a lovely top. Do join us for breakfast if you can. We're meeting early-ish and will be out for a long time - you could settle DD, come for a drink or two and then head off, so as not to leave her with DH for too long? Obviously, you have to do what you feel comfortable with, but it would be lovely to meet you. And don't you have a VWA waiting to be worn?!

Glad you enjoyed Harrogate Portia.

Ollie I hadn't seen those. They're perfect, thank you!

Is this shirt a good starting point to see if I'm happy with the look or just too oversized?

notyummy · 13/03/2012 15:23

Glad you enjoyed Harrogate Portia - any time for shopping? DH proposed to me there in the Champagne suite of the Hotel Du Vin. Never seen such a big bed in all my life Wink. We still own a house there but it is rented out so we only visit very occasionally. Happy memories.

Sorry about the lack of sleep Blue. Glad that the cleaner has provided some serenity though.

Guilty confession Blush. Just spent the last hour or so flirting slightly with hugely handsome, bright and articulate consultant I was in a meeting with. Not sure how old he is, but I suspect at least a decade younger than me. Smartly dressed, very honed, smattering of stubble, lots of great ideas..... Highly charming and easy on the eye. Just looking, mind. Nothing else!

Loving the sound of a hot lava shell massage Fritzi - I had a hot stone massage last week and it was gorgeous. Am planning another when I return from holiday with jet lag.

Hope you feel better soon Bloss - could it be hormonal at all?

OP posts:
FritziGreenEyes · 13/03/2012 16:22

notyummy As you remember you DH's proposal so vividly, I'd say you have nothing to worry about Wink. Flirt away and enjoy Smile

pickledsiblings · 13/03/2012 16:28

NY, Grin at how you can mention DH proposing and flirting with a bright young thing in the same post.

Loving the sound of a massage Fritzi, not so much the hot lava Confused.

Apuski, shame about the Marni stuff - looks like you've got a few takers on here. Could totally see you in Marni Portia, and I may actually get to see you in Marni Ollie. My stuff is no where to be seen of course.

Bloss, hope you're OK. Maybe it's just work and motherhood catching up on you and what you need is some time away from it all for a few days Smile. Hope we'll get to see the 50:50s and the Roxy.

blossoming · 13/03/2012 16:41

It's not blood sugar, that's why my calorie count is so high for the day! I had extra toast and marmalade for breakfast and a piece of shortbread after lunch. It is that time of month though, and I have a sore throat, probably picked up dd's bug. Do feel better now though. Sun is out and I've warmed up. Thanks for concern.
Did you see the carven in black amber? My Wardrobe have it. Could be very tempted...!

blossoming · 13/03/2012 16:42

Oh, and how jealous am I of ny's flirting opportunity!

AmberNectarine · 13/03/2012 16:51

Black, you say bloss? hmmm, might make me look less like Jordan.

MrsCampbellBlack · 13/03/2012 17:15

No marni here yet.

Red - what flooring are you doing in your bathroom. I'm thinking limestone or the like although I know its a tad ubiquitous.

blossoming · 13/03/2012 18:11

black carven
I am ignoring Jillian Michaels and MFP in the bid to feel better and am having a beef curry with brown rice for my tea. Maybe I'm low in iron and b vits.

Hopefully · 13/03/2012 18:18

Fritzi hot lava massage sounds relaxing in a somewhat terminal sort of way.

Red that white shirt looks really nice - v simple, chic and not too oversized.

Amber I know I'm not in any rush to get home, since the DSs and DH are off out for the day with MIL, SIL and their various spouses and offspring, so breakfast would be lovely on the Sunday if you don't make it on Saturday.

I am 928 calories over my allowance for the day according to MFP. I don't think even back to back Shred could claw this one back from being a horribly unhealthy day! Really want to start the Master Your Metabolism eating plan, but seems pointless when I know I'll be unhealthy on the weekend. Suppose I could shop tomorrow and do Thur/Fri/Sat morning. I have such weakness for all things white bread, biscuit and cake, I think I might be best off cutting them out entirely for a few weeks before allowing myself the odd treat. Which is totally counter to my usual diet philosophy, but I find that the fitter I get the more aware I am when I've eaten junk and don't have the energy to work out. I am turning into some kind of healthy person . Although I think the 928 extra calories today probably prevents me claiming that right at this moment.

Russianred · 13/03/2012 18:42

We are going for a black and white chequered floor MrsCB - I have a bit of a passion for them, along with my weird thing for old mirrors. No Marni here either.

Thanks for feedback Hopefully, think I should go for it now and not to my usual dithering so I might incorporate into my weekend packing. Your awareness about your diet is a very good thing - I'm still mildly oblivious to these things.

Am locked into a bidding war going up in 50p increments for my dream day dress on EBay - I get so dogged in my pursuit of these things, particularly when I am aware someone else really wants it.

Your meeting sounds great NY Grin.

MidnightinMoscow · 13/03/2012 18:58

Hello. Back from sweep, been feeling crampy and grotty since so laid up on the sofa.

Have a plan now that if no baby by next Tuesday then its a ELCS. More than happy with that plan, feel like by then I'd have given it by best shot!

Sorry for no W&A news/comments. Feeling decidedly unstylish now. Grin

Hopefully · 13/03/2012 19:39

Poor you MIM, hope you either feel better or have a baby imminently.

Red diet awareness is a relatively new thing! It's only really come as I've started exercising more, as I'm so aware of when I haven't eaten properly. Like right now, with my 928 extra calories Grin

Am slightly irritated at lack of communication from Oushka re bag I ordered last Thursday. Wondering how long is polite to leave before hassling them to find out if it's been dispatched.

OllieinOrange · 13/03/2012 19:42

Red I like the image of you turning up to London in one oufit and gradually adding/shedding items as you buy the things on your wish list!

Bloss we are having a curry too. With rice. And Naan bread.

Mim sorry you are feeling grotty but crampy may be a good sign?

Right, had a trying on session assisted my DH and DS1 and (unless I find a cool top between now and then) looks like I will be wearing Janice on Saturday. Still not convinced about the grey Me and Em dress - may bring along for advice - and so Fritzi, Red and Picked can have a try on too Smile.

OllieinOrange · 13/03/2012 19:43

That reminds me Hopefully - no sign of my replacement strap. Must chase.
