Kate and Her Maj both looking lovely in Leicester today methinks.

Critiques of Kate's outfits (today and on the rest of the tour) welcomed Smile

I think she looks older when she is nervous. At the weddding she looked very strained and much older, as she did in Leicester yesterday - must have pretty scary out with Granny and Grandad, who just happen to be Her Maj and Philly.

In the pics walking Lupo she looks much better/younger/relaxed.

You know that you are getting old when you think she must have been freezing!

eandz · 09/03/2012 16:04

i just wish soo deeply that she had a top lip.

valiumredhead · 09/03/2012 16:06

I'm glad she has thin lips -far too many bee stung fake ones about these days!

harbingerofdoom · 09/03/2012 18:56

I liked the picture of Kate and her Maj at the fashion show. No sign of Prince Philip-do you think it would have been bad for his heart?

VeniVidiVisa · 09/03/2012 19:02

top lips are soooooooooo last year!

Emo76 · 09/03/2012 20:23

I love her suit, not sure the belt works colour wise.

I think her hair could do with being a bit shorter, it looks a bit "wiggy".

She'd take years off if she didn't use so much eyeliner.

drywhiteplease · 09/03/2012 21:23

The problem with her make up is we are so used to seeing her with heavy make up that if she changed it she would look really wierd? No eyes....

Does Wills really have a sex addiction? Blimey I missed that and I read OK!

Btw as an aside, was looking at Victoria Beckham and I actually think she is anneorexic, don't you?its such a shame.

mathanxiety · 09/03/2012 22:40

'You know that you are getting old when you think she must have been freezing!'

Grin I had to smack myself upside the head when that very thought crossed my mind.

psammyad · 10/03/2012 08:43

It's a bit unfair to call her out out on looking old - she's on walkabout with the queen ffs, she's bound to look formal.

I quite like the cat-eye eyeliner, looks a bit wannabe Carla Bruni. But then I don't look at Kate Middleton very often so perhaps I just haven't got bored of it yet.

She looks within the normal range for a skinny lass, looks like she works out a lot. I hope it's within her normal range, but some women do get skinny in their 20s, especially if they're in a stressful role (whether that's running around after 3 under-5's or being one of the most looked-at women on the planet.)

I do think Ed Miliband's partner looks absolutely stunning in the Davina dress though - its definitely a dress for a slightly curvier figure and she shows it off really well. The Billie & Blossom dresses in Dorothy Perkins share the same style, & very flattering - some of the prints are a bit minging though.

psammyad · 10/03/2012 08:48

Just noticed Justine's dress is longer than Kate's so presumably Kate's was a special edition?

Or is Kate's so much shorter because it's a smalle size?

I think Kate would have looked younger with the dress re-cut to below the knee & very tight & pencil style - but perhaps that would have looked too fashiony to be appropriate.

psammyad · 10/03/2012 08:50

(smaller size: smalle looks like something you'd find on your crispbread in the Ikea cafe if I could put a funny umlaut on it)

Walnut8 · 10/03/2012 09:16

I love Kate's style and she has a very pretty face.

However ... she unfortunately looks a little like I did when I was diagnosed with anorexia (a long time in the past).

No hips, no bum, no boobs. Muscular. Bony knees and hands. Very very tired eyes. Dull skin hidden with a lot of makeup.

But it is the comparison with former healthier looking versions of her that is worrying, not whether she is "too" skinny or whatever ppl think of her current figure. Women can be as skinny as her or skinnier and be healthy.

I also think her use of eyeliner is bordering on obsessive.

thereistheball · 10/03/2012 10:48

Everyone commenting on her eyeliner is missing the point, IMO: she does her make-up for the people who are craning to get a glimpse of her from a distance through a crowd. Yes it is exaggerated and in close-up it ages her, but if you had queued since silly o'clock in the morning to get within 50m of her then you'd probably appreciate being able to see her eyes when she glanced in your direction. Good on her for styling for the crowd not the camera.

Also, about the colour of her suit: it is absolutely Not Done to out-bright The Queen. Obviously.
