Anyone had any luck? I'm at work and refreshed the homepage for 1 our solid before finally getting in. I ordered three sleeveless v-neck blouses, a skirt and a set of bracelets. The dresses were all sold out unfortunately. Anyone bought irl? What's it like?

Umm not touchy but blessed with manners Smile

Pseudonymity · 09/03/2012 20:38

Sorry if my comment re. Boden offended. I am thrilled to hear about your fab purchases, if not a little jealous. My observation was purely re. the Grazia pictures.

PlumSykes · 09/03/2012 20:48

Bonsoir, I will keep:

Tribal print silk maxi-looks dreamy with the white necklace
Colour block silk top (predominantly fuchsia at front)-tried with olive chinos and brown Pedro Garcia suede thing sandals
Blue/brown colour block dress-good with tuxedo jacket and snake heels
Cream/brown silk zigzag dress-easy breezy school run dress
Tribal print long sleeve silk top-not sure yet how to wear, but I'll figure it out. Boden cut-offs, probably.

Going back are:
Blue circle print jacket-colour to bold for me
Green ruffle front stripe cardi-too small, alas
Tribal print silk trousers-love them, but too small

Passed on already to stylish chum:
Brown spot silk dress

Jury's still out on:
Navy parka- too big, or elegantly billowing?

I'm usually quite sceptical of high-end/low end high street collaborations, but really liked the Marni collection. Marni has quite a specific target demographic (chic, style-confident) so can understand why it doesn't appeal to everyone. The dresses, in particular, were well made and at an excellent price point imo.

MrsCampbellBlack · 09/03/2012 20:55

Pseudo - I totally got what you meant and it wasn't at all offensive Smile

I'm really looking forward to my parcel arriving as the bag looked lovely online and I have high hopes of the silk spot dress. And imagine wearing the colourblock silk top with white skinnies so hopefully not too boden/mumsy Wink

Plum - those outfits sound divine

DonaAna · 09/03/2012 20:58

I have a Marni coatdress from a few seasons back. It looks exactly like the coats cleaning ladies in Italian museums wear. I love it, but it's not for everyone.

M1ssBerta · 09/03/2012 21:01

I think it's pretty gopping, but we are all different, hey!

PlumSykes · 09/03/2012 21:02

Dress will be great on you, MrsCB. Alas, it made me look like I was about to have about seven babies.

MrsCampbellBlack · 09/03/2012 21:05

Plum - the problem is I think I'm going to turn into a sultry brunette a la the Sophia ad and will be most disappointed when I realise that I'm still me Wink

And if you look like you've got 7 babies - there's no hope for me.

SardineQueen · 09/03/2012 21:18

Oh so this is why there was a huge queue outside H&M in brent x yesterday! I was peering and wondering Grin

Thank you for solving that mystery and I hope that everyone who got stuff is very happy with it Smile

warmandwooly · 09/03/2012 21:25

Ooops should have said I regret not buying a fabric bag. Oops!

AmberNectarine · 09/03/2012 21:33

I quote the OP:

Anyone had any luck? I'm at work and refreshed the homepage for 1 our solid before finally getting in. I ordered three sleeveless v-neck blouses, a skirt and a set of bracelets. The dresses were all sold out unfortunately. Anyone bought irl? What's it like?

I don't see anywhere the invitation be snarky and snide about purchases people are very enthusiastic about. Furthermore, I don't think any of the ladies on the thread suggested jealousy, so maybe that was a bit of projection?

I do feel so sad for people with nothing better to do than suck the joy out of life.

M1ssBerta · 09/03/2012 21:38

Oh please. People are at liberty to say what they think about a bloody clothing range! How funny!

MrsCampbellBlack · 09/03/2012 21:44

Indeed MissBerta.

I mean I loathe polyester clothes from next etc but if someone posts that they've just bought something they love from there - well you know I just wouldn't post and say 'oh its gopping'.

But you know - if it makes you feel good - go for it.

AmberNectarine · 09/03/2012 21:44

Yes, they are but I just wonder why they bother? I don't go onto the DP dresses threads and slate those garments for being synthetic, having poor finishing etc. If I don't like it, I don't buy it, but I don't want to kill anyone else's shopping buzz.

AmberNectarine · 09/03/2012 21:45

Cross posts with MrsCB Grin

MrsCampbellBlack · 09/03/2012 21:45

Funny cross post Amber Smile

M1ssBerta · 09/03/2012 21:49

Oh dear God.

MrsCampbellBlack · 09/03/2012 21:51

Have you an epiphany MissBerta Wink

God - its just clothes. Enjoy your evenings.

M1ssBerta · 09/03/2012 21:53

Of course it's just clothes, my point entirely.

Life's too short, enjoy your evening too Smile

Francagoestohollywood · 09/03/2012 21:56

I have a Marni jacket which I bought nearly ten yrs ago and I love it.
If i could afford it, I'd have more Marni in my wardrobe. And yesterday I couldn'go to H&M, so am very jealous of all of you who bought stuff.

CHOOGIRL · 09/03/2012 22:00

Franca keep an eye on the website and the stores. There may be a second delivery at the end of March Wink

Francagoestohollywood · 09/03/2012 22:09

Francagoestohollywood · 09/03/2012 22:09

MissFoodie · 09/03/2012 22:20

can that long silk maxidress be worn with a belt? or would it totally ruin it?
i think without a belt i'd look about 8 months pregnant in it.....
