Oh dear God. Do I have to do this every day? Please tell me it gets easier.

lol I have that dvd, me and dp managed it for 3 days on the trot and each time, I was nearly sick, felt like I was going to pass out etc

ached like a bitch for three days after

I know we shouldn't have given up but fuck me, it was hideous

at least I know how unfit I really am now Grin

angelinterceptor · 15/02/2012 12:25

I feel your pain - those bloody jumping jacks seem to go on for ages dont they?
I tried this earlier this month, got to about day 6 I think, but gave up because my DC kept on joining in and putting me off.
I think I should probably go back to it.

TrinityRhino · 15/02/2012 12:30

and press ups are the devils work

SunnilyEnough · 15/02/2012 12:34

The push ups and the sit ups are killers for me, I am so pathetically out of shape. It's taken me about half an hour to stop shaking!

choceyes · 15/02/2012 12:35

oh the jumping jacks are easy! But the strength excersises kill me, I feel like my arms are baout to fall off! I've done 6 days of L1 so far.
Make sure you do the ab exercises porperly without straining your neck. I didn't do it correctly the last time I did it and I've had a strained neck for 2 days now!

NoWayNoHow · 15/02/2012 12:37

Did my first day yesterday, and there isn't a part of my body today that doesn't ache (although that may also have something to do with me falling down the stairs straight afterwards because my legs were like jelly!)

Going to bite the bullet and do it again today because I can already feel a difference around my middle (have already lost the weight I wanted to lose, just want to tone up now)

SunnilyEnough · 15/02/2012 12:39

I find the strength exercises hardest too.
Are you all doing it every day?!

OP posts:
choceyes · 15/02/2012 12:42

I am aiming to do it 4 days a week. I go to Zumba once or twice a week too. Having one rest day at the weekend. I really enjoy doing it actually. I couldn't do it last night because of my neck, and I really missed it. I think I am addicted. I'm noticting a difference in my waist already too, although it could just be wishful thinking!

flipflopflap · 15/02/2012 13:27

Yes it does get easier, but the first time I did it I wanted to cry! I can manage the cardio sections easily enough but I couldn't do even one press up. I only do it a few times a week but don't ache as much afterwards now, I'm still totally crap at press ups though!

SunnilyEnough · 15/02/2012 14:15

Ok, I will have another go tomorrow! Press ups are bloody excrutiating.

Day 2 Level 2 - it's a killer and I still can't do press ups - tummy is looking flatter though Smile

NoWayNoHow · 15/02/2012 18:19

betty did the same as you and did Level 2 on Day 2 - almost managed to finish it, but could quite manage the last bit of floor work. Still feel stiff, but will have to back to Level 1 tomorrow. Already feel different in the stomach area!

BettyBathroom · 15/02/2012 18:56

It's definitely a better workout than level 1 - I was dripping with sweat and finished that last abs session 5 secs early - she had taken everything I had to give! My hope is someday to do a proper push up. In the meantime now the big snow and the unbelievably icy pavements have gone - I'm back to the C25k prog, which I'm quite looking forward to...I just hope I haven't lost much endurance.

SantieMaggie · 15/02/2012 20:06

I have done this 3 days in a row this week and a few times sporadically before that but i have yet to do all the cardio without stopping because my boobs hurt! I can get through the first circuit but after that once i stop its hard to carry on :-(

Am combining it with swimming this week as i'm in a hotel but will normally be doing zumba 2/3 times a week.

BettyBathroom · 15/02/2012 20:09

SantieMaggieYou need to invest in a good bra then Smile

SantieMaggie · 15/02/2012 20:22

I thought i had one! Copes with zumba but a bra and sports top isnt enough for shred!

BettyBathroom · 15/02/2012 20:28

My nipples still get sore when I run - reminds me of pregnancy - I'm told vaseline helps.

snail1973 · 15/02/2012 21:18

Level 2 is haaaaaaaard. I thought I was doing ok on circuits 1 and 2, but circuit 3 is a killer. What the hell are plankjumps FFS??!! I cannot do those. It is only the fact that I know the whole thing is only 25 mins that keeps me motivated

TheGoddessBlossom · 15/02/2012 21:24

I did level 2 for the first time on Monday and I still ache. Alot. And I thought I was pretty fit to start with. Clearly not. My arms ache, my calves, my bum and thighs. Killer. Went swimming today as couldn't face it again yet...

mostboringchatnickname · 15/02/2012 21:37

Picked mine up again yesterday after not using it for ages. Dc were taking the piss out of Jillian - apparently 'she's lazy as she doesn't actually do it but just tells the others what to do'! Ds also thinks I look like the one on the right - either he needs his vision testing or he was after a new toy and trying to flatter me as I am about twice her size and age Grin.

Not sure I'd want to look like Jillian though -she's very butch.

Will be doing it again tomorrow. Not doing 7 days a week as last time my knees got injured. Will try for five days a week over a longer period.

BornToShopForcedToWork · 15/02/2012 21:47

Just wondering if people consider me crazy if I still but the DVD after reading all your comments. :D

Ultrasonic · 15/02/2012 23:32

Hello, day 8 (or is it 9?) of level one here. I'm a total couch potato normally although I did get quite into running about 5 or 6 years ago.
I must say though, I am starting to notice some changes to my waist already! Level one is getting easier and I don't feel like my neck is going to snap or that I'm about to rip my earlobes off during the crunches now!
Stick with it people, don't "phone it in" whatever the jeff that means!?

Ultrasonic · 15/02/2012 23:32

Do it borntoshop we'll all suffer together!

BettyBathroom · 15/02/2012 23:44

Right here people! With my favorite girls!

SunnilyEnough · 16/02/2012 10:34

I am in AGONY today! Everything hurts and I am staggering around in an unsightly manner. Will I be able to even do it today? I'm having trouble going down the stairs!
