They must have listened to lots of the reviews!

I must have it! I love my Big Hair but it works best when my hair is slightly longer because I haven't been to the hairdresser for months so this would be perfect!

StellaAndFries · 22/01/2012 21:01

I noticed when browsing my bible Argos catalogue and instantly thought I have to post this in s&b! Blush

Ordered one to pick up tomorrow just had layers cut in and my bb was too big thanks Stella

blueemerald · 22/01/2012 21:36

It's only 8mm narrower! What's the point?

bessie26 · 01/02/2012 19:43

My hair is quite short (layered bob type of thing) so I didn't bother getting the big big-hair, should I get this?

Yahboosnubs · 01/02/2012 20:51

Is it good for curly hair, does anyone know? I have quite short hair that should be curly but post-babies needs a bit of help. I normally use a diffuser but am wondering if the infamous Babyliss Big Hair might work wonders??

ggirl · 01/02/2012 21:00

don't think it'll make your hair curly
the bigger one smooths out the hair and makes it all shiny and swishy ,like you've had your hair done at the hairdressers

Must say I am tempted with the smaller one , as I have layered hair. Wonder if it would actually add volume though cos the original one certainly does not on my hair.

ClaireyW · 01/02/2012 21:57

Was planning on getting the original, now don't know...does anyone know how short is too short for the big BBH? Anyone tried and failed? I've a just above shoulder length layered bob

ggirl · 01/02/2012 22:00

i have above shoulder layered bob and use the bbh
love it but it does not give volume ,it finishes hair off and makes it sleek and smooth

ggirl · 01/02/2012 22:01

actually have chin length bob

CDMforever · 01/02/2012 22:16

ggirl, I agree about the lack of volume with bb, I was quite disappointed about this but I guess the swishiness is a good trade-off.

bessie26 · 01/02/2012 23:10

I currently use my beloved GHDs to make my chin length layered bob nice & smooth. Would these do the same, but without being so damn straight?

ggirl · 02/02/2012 13:18

ok complete sucker that i am, I have been out and bought one
it actually does give more volume , not loads but seeing as the 50mm one doesn't really give any volume it is an improvement for me anyway

mine is making a funny whiny whirry noise so hope it doesn't break

bessie26 · 02/02/2012 15:15

so ggirl are you saying I should order some straight away? Grin

salamanda · 02/02/2012 15:53

I have the original size and I too believed it didn't add volume to my hair, until I found myself without it one morning and had to dry my hair normally with a hairdryer, resulting in the dull, flat hair of those dark pre-BBH days. I had started believing that I have good hair - it was humbling and I will never take the BBH for granted again Grin

ggirl · 02/02/2012 15:57

bessie if you haven't got bbhthne yes , get the smaller one!

bessie26 · 12/02/2012 14:57

Thank-you ggirl Flowers - I got some, and I LOVE them! Grin

I have discovered I can even use them in the evening & still be reasonably swishy in the morning with minimal effort (which is exactly what I need when I go back to work!)

bessie26 · 12/02/2012 14:58

d'oh - I meant Thanks

ggirl · 12/02/2012 19:25

glad you like it!

the smaller barrel one is so much better for my hair , very glad I got it
