Remember the woman next door in 'Birds of a Feather' - Dorian?

PattySimcox · 31/10/2011 15:52

Whenever I walk past Per Una I'm always reminded of bupcakes quote about Netmums

"it was like hunting through a bin filled with the vomit of a child who'd just accidentally eaten the contents of a craft box"

WTF buys this stuff?

HermanMumster · 31/10/2011 15:52

Basically, they're doing the 80s. Dallas lives. I have just been in the shower for the last twenty five years.

BrittanyBelle · 31/10/2011 16:04

These are some truly horrendous clothes

I think we can guess which articles will still be around for the january sales. I don't think i'll bother with m+s this year.

polyhymnia · 31/10/2011 16:38

Loving those slippers ...

That animal print dress is one of the first things that comes up on the M and S website, so I guess they must think it reflects well on them/ will be a good seller???

WestsAwake · 31/10/2011 16:53

What the Christ is up with 'Speziale'? i swear M&S are just having a private joke with their customers.

enjoyingscience · 31/10/2011 16:57

Love it. That massive red thing has improved my Monday no end. Thanks!

I'm actually contemplating nipping into town at the weekend to see it in all it's glory. Is shit clothes sight-seeing a valid hobby?

the speziale range is awesome. every time i open one of those links, i imagine a brassy bet lynch-style OAP wrapping herself in said item and purring 'mmmmmm, spetz-ee-ah-lay'.

fuzzyfeltfox · 31/10/2011 21:33

poly, yes, I wasn't thinking like that, it was one of the reviews that got me... someone kind of said that herself! :)

Agree with lowlevelstabbing, spectacular really is an appropriate word for so many per una offerings!

unhappysqueezer · 31/10/2011 21:56

I have bought much Per una for my MIL for Xmas in a sale, they cost 3 pound each.
Because she's worth it.And she'll love them.

Seriously my MIL is 70 and that is all she buys and wears. That large button cardi is hers.

Conundrumish · 31/10/2011 23:23

The model they use in most of the link above looks like a hooker!

purplepidjin · 01/11/2011 08:32

It's having to wear those clothes, pink, it's enough to make anyone sulk Wink

GetOrfMo1Land · 01/11/2011 13:26

I would LOVE the Per Una designers in for a webchat.

nicknamenotinuse · 01/11/2011 13:38

I can't go anywhere near Per Una without pissing myself laughing at the shit they display. Who on earth buys the stuff? Who designs it? and I use the word 'design' with difficulty. My cat could make better stuff.

mathanxiety · 01/11/2011 13:58

Pink, if by that you mean all dolled up but strangely unenthusiastic looking, then yes.

Gingefringe · 01/11/2011 14:23

I love this thread!! Nearly spilt my coffee over my keyboard laughing as some all of those monstrosities!! Who buys this stuff??

mumeuro · 24/04/2012 13:42

pmsl at this and the many other per una threads on MN since I discovered them yesterday evening; what a shame that many of the links are dead now...thanks for a good cheer-up! Grin
