I'd love the bisque Madam, I can see myself getting through quite a lot of it - utter shite skin here too, but the bisque seems quite a good colour for me. Will PM you.

ggirl · 12/10/2011 08:02

I am gonna try matte today ,have noticed my nose wee bit shiny by the afternoon , no where near as bad as when I use normal foundation ,which has slidden onto floor by midday.

Grape -how exciting , are you having a drastic change at the hairdressers?

FoofFighters · 12/10/2011 08:35

I tried BE yesterday in John Lewis. It's amazing, love it! Away to reread the threads to get the best deal :o

OhThisIsJustGrape · 12/10/2011 08:50

Well... LL day today and it's looking good. I'd say it's heavier coverage than BE but that's a plus for me. Will see how it lasts throughout day and report back later :)

ggirl not sure what to have done at hairdressers. Hair is mousy boring colour with way too much grey :( it's long, kind of boob length lol and pretty much all one length. I have a fringe too.

Would like to keep the length but thinking lots of layers - kind of a messy/shaggy layered look iykwim? If anyone is v bored and would like to search for some pics I would be vair grateful Grin

VivaLeBeaver · 12/10/2011 09:31

I had two people tell me yesterday how glowing and good I looked. One was my boss and she looked quite stunned "you look really good she said.

I wasn't even wearing BE but I think its the Garnier Beauty Balm that I had on under my Mac foundation. I do really rate it.

ggirl · 12/10/2011 09:57

This LL one , I thought you could get cheap little sample pots?
Where do you get those from?

PinotScreechio · 12/10/2011 10:22

ggirl I got my LL samples from Lilylolo.co.uk - £1.29 each. Each is enough for a month I'd say (do others agree?) Val said feelunique.com sell LL with free postage but haven't checked for samples on there.

ggirl · 12/10/2011 10:41

thanks pinot will order
have avon arriving soon
christ I am such a sheep..and makeup junkie

ArfurBrain · 12/10/2011 10:45

I am going to find me an orange lady this weekend.....
I hope she doesn't provide me with special measures brown paper bag for head--

ggirl · 12/10/2011 11:07

haha have now ordered numerous lilylolo samples , a blusher and eyeshadow.
also waiting for avon delivery
I will be coming back with my verdicts.

OhThisIsJustGrape · 12/10/2011 11:24

LL has just arrived, the full size pots are huge!

Tried the BE warmth today for first time as felt I looked quite flat. Glad I used literally just a crumb of it as it's so intense but looks nice.

I've never been particularly interested in make up, I've always worn it as I look hideous without it but I've never enthused about it before. Now I'm actually excited about putting it on each day :)

My skin is never going to look perfect I know, but it's nice to get it looking as good as it does.

valiumredhead · 12/10/2011 11:31

Oh poor you melted damn! x

Make sure your foundation has properly sunk into your skin before you apply LL - I have just had to re do mine. EPIC FAIL! Grin

PinotScreechio · 12/10/2011 11:37

Grape - I've always wanted to love makeup but always viewed it as a chore as I had to hide so many spots and ugly bits. This is a joy!

Jodie I thank you again for telling me about this. I really do!

valiumredhead · 12/10/2011 12:01

Have you see the update on the other thread - free samples from BE if you 'like' the MN page and the BE page.

JodieHarsh · 12/10/2011 13:40

HELLO EVERYONE

I am hungover and mizz

HOWEVER genuine quote from woman last night, who actually stroked my cheek (mind you this happens a lot Hmm) "How do you always look so radiant?!" I pulled a pot of BE out of my bag and might have slightly demonstrated Blush

Mindthegap007 I am beyond touched that you emerged from lurkerdom for my sake and that ASOS dress is actually my dream frock, you genius! Now, if only I can shed some unslightly arm-fat between now and the dinner it's a done deal Grin

Melted I am sorry, dearie. Rotten. However when you go and collect your degree I reckon you'll be beaming so hard with joy and pride you'll not remember the outcome of just one exam. So there. I have spoken :)

Oh, just seen it. COOOOOOL! Grin

I wonder if this is the nearest I will ever come to fame?

brighthair · 12/10/2011 14:00

I think I may need the lightest BE - am using fairly light at the minute but someone mentioned a new paler one? How pale is it? I am lighter than MAC NW15 with red hair and freckles

valiumredhead · 12/10/2011 14:02

Would the dress look ok with Mary Portas's 'Armoury' Jodie? That's a way to disguise big arms?

ggirl · 12/10/2011 14:30

which BE one is the lightest, light or fairly light?

brighthair · 12/10/2011 14:50

Fair is the palest, then fairly light, and light is the darkest of then Grin

ggirl · 12/10/2011 15:23

thanks

valiumredhead · 12/10/2011 16:00

I had fairly light and fair in my box and fairly light was lighter than fair. I need fair as fairly light is ghostly on me - but this was approx 2 years ago so perhaps they've changed it?

PinotScreechio · 12/10/2011 16:43

Blimey is fairly light the lightest then val?

I'll stick with Blondie from LL then - even Fairly light is a tad dark on me (blue-veined ginger here)

valiumredhead · 12/10/2011 16:50

Well it is in my box pinot but as I say this was from about 2 years ago - it might've changed.

Yes Blondie must be very light in LL as barely buff is ok on me. I am just going into medium but not quite...
