Oops, I mean medical research.

pickledsiblings · 22/09/2011 19:28

left a ''' out too, I'm getting rusty...must post more often Smile.

blossoming · 22/09/2011 20:12

ollie I have decided to wear Davina, because a) it is tea, so I shall wear a dress and b) it is quite an English tradition, so I shall wear tweed.
With....trala..the suede shoe boots from last year. (Which may not have been out since last meet up!)
And I have splashed out on a mac session too. Well, I don't get out much!

Hi Pickled! Well it's true, great from the front. Golf club from the side. Am returning them.

MarshaBrady · 22/09/2011 20:13

Sounds fabulous Bloss!

pickledsiblings · 22/09/2011 20:17

Having not played much golf Marsha, please could you elaborate on the golf clubness of them...?

MarshaBrady · 22/09/2011 20:24

Stick (leg) with wedge shape at bottom (foot). Actually I don't play golf, but a bit like this.

LOL at the flake Carciofi! Thanks so much for the coat offer, I am going to ring them tomorrow and see what the story is on pre order. Also want to check the length. Has anyone seen a picture of it? Hate when they don't "model" it online. You are so good. Your poor DH. He must feel he has no life.
Pooh! Good news on the pay check Bloss. I get paid on the last Thursday of the month, do this is a 5 week month. (Sob) I hate them. Which colour are you getting in the coat? I shall be led by your winter colouring! I would have thought night.
Love the bathrooms guys. Would that I could fit an armchair into my bathroom! In the next boom time perhaps.
Out to dinner in a mate's. Wearing sonia rykiel grey sweater dress, metallic tights from Zara (highly recommend), Taipei scarf from Zara with black feather motif, black biker jacket, and my patent Taipei Hogan shoes. Pleased with the look!

pickledsiblings · 22/09/2011 20:43

Thanks Marsha Grin. Having seen my legs you will know that I could never have that problem...

Rufus, saw those tights at Zara but was slightly perturbed by the fact that they call them panties Hmm. Have a good night, outfit sounds good.

Hi all. Good to see you back Deepleaf.

Dd ok - thanks for all the good wishes. She isn't ill at the moment thankfully, but it is worrying how susceptible she is to pneumonia and how little there is we can do. She is healthy in most ways. Fingers crossed that she is well this winter. The doctors are trying really hard to help and the Health Protection Agency is developing a whole set of vaccines just for her (although as you say Pickled hopefully others will benefit too!)

notyummy · 22/09/2011 21:13

Nice cardies Attila.

FritziGreenEyes · 22/09/2011 21:17

notyummy Hope DD's hospital visit was ok. Such a brave girl!

FritziGreenEyes · 22/09/2011 21:19

AttillaTheMum · 22/09/2011 21:20

I am a different Attilla. Grin Have been on MN for a while but mostly lurk

AntPants1 · 22/09/2011 22:20

Hello all

verity so sorry about your aunt. It must have been a terrible shock.
ollie fingers crossed all works out for your DH.
NY fingers crossed for a better winter for your DD. I've had phemonia twice including once as a child. Not nice. I sympathise.
bloss contests on first pay check. Love the pencil skirt. Am tempted.

Have no idea about what I am wearing for Meetor for 20 year school reunion next week end. Eek. ollie I will probably get my DH to pay pal you as I dont have it. Thank once again for organising.

AntPants1 · 22/09/2011 22:23

Oh and love bathroom fantasies. When my DSis and I were little we would often visit some family friends in surrey. Anyway they had huge old farmhouse type house with a massive bathroom with a sofa in it. My sister and I still talk about one day having houses with bathrooms big enough to have a sofa!!!

blossoming · 22/09/2011 22:28

Hi ants, loved the shoes you linked to the other day. I can really picture you in them.

Hi Attila, thanks for sharing those links. I must admit to being a little frightened of cable, although love the Pure one carciofi got. I might try one when I get my pencil skirt.

Also, very odd, but I hate baths and have probably had only one since we moved in. We have gorgeous walk in showers though and powerful 'raindance' showers. Am I alone??

Dropping in quickly to say hello before I crash for the night.

Verity, so sorry to hear about your aunt, hope the next few days are bearable.

Ollie, the latest news about your DH sounds positive, and hopefully with those timescales things won't change too much - they might be telling him now because they are worried about losing him amidst the uncertainty. Fingers crossed.

Deep, glad to hear you had a great time!

NY, hoping they manage to develop the right vaccine for DD, then you can relax this winter.

Did lol at Marsha's golf club leg drawing!

I seem to lurch from one clothes crisis to another, all due to lack of forward planning. It's my 40th birthday weekend this weekend, and I need to work out what to wear for our dinner out. Restaurant is not superglam, but would like to make an effort. I can shop from my wardrobe, or I have an afternoon of shopping in Bath first, so could try out some options then (as well as fitting in my CdC visit obv!).

Oh and DH hasn't bought me a present yet, so will need to choose that too, ideally to find in Bath as well. So please talk to me about dream pressies! (suspect Mulberry might appear somewhere).
