Hi all. Delighted about the rugby, and then Dublin won the All Ireland football final yesterday! Major excitement.
WAN I had those also when I was pregnant. Was worried it might be raised blood pressure, and eclampsia. Actually, it was dehydration. I just wasn't drinking enough fluids. Once I upper the fluid intake, they went away.
NY, you'd be very proud of me, I did my half marathon on Saturday. Am starving ever since. Can't get enough of food into me! (note to self - must stop eating)
Annie that's a shame about the boots. I have had lots if complements on them, and questions about where I got them.
BLOSS new job is suiting you well.
Verity get well soon. Your country needs you to spend money!
Reunion sounded great Fritzi. I really enjoyed mine, when I went. Although right up till I got in the car, I was unsure about going. Meant to ask, did you find any nice grey shorts? Am looking for some too! (hoping to piggy back on your search!)

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2011 10:34

Anniemac meant to say love all your recent purchases.

I adore this belt. I don't own any leopard print, but I love the calf hair so might give it a whirl.

Well done Rufus! 1/2 marathon certainly nothing to be sneezed at - I haven't run more than 9 miles since end of July as I struggle to fit in longer runs when DD not at school, so I would find 1/2 marathon distance a killer. I usually do them on Friday (along with housework) when I am not working. Although am working 2 Fridays this month Hmm. No extra pay though..... From next week onwards I am going to be pushing the distance up again so will hopefully be back up to 13/14 milers by Oct/Nov.

I like that whole WIT outfit Annie. Good work on the second hand Zara skirt!

I like WITs pink shoes.

I think I will get the belt.

redllamayellowllama · 19/09/2011 10:55

Morning all.

So glad you had a fab weekend Ollie; your purchases all sound glorious. Must get a look at the Kew skirt.

WAN I also had a lot of headaches whilst pregnant and, like Rufus, wasn't getting enough fluids into me. Be sure to spend the day resting and not doing stuff around the house!

Glad the reunion went well Fritzi and that your outfit was so perfectly-pitched.

Apuski how lovely to be so in demand! Well done.

NY another lovely outfit. Am finding my head turned more and more by winter maxis. Can you give me some pointers on how you wear them?

Have had a lovely weekend with both my sisters; we bummed around for most of it, but we're quite good at being silly together, so it was lots of fun.

We also had out kitchen designed yesterday afternoon, which was a whole heap of fun. Am hoping it will all be done by Christmas; our builder is getting back to us with a start date this week. DH is fed-up at work and feeling very sorry for himself. In a self-pitying moment yesterday, he told me he fully expects me to leave him for another man in the next 5 years Hmm. Am making Ollie's Spanish stew to bring some sunshine to him this evening and will be trying to be as kind as possible to get him out of his funk (when what I really want to do is give him a firm shake and tell him to fix up!).

I'm not sure. I love a good knit but think it might be a bit lumpy, or heavy, on her.

Belt acquired. Thanks for encouragement, I needed it Grin. I LOVE a good belt too. Also got the top they show with it.

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2011 11:16

I think I would like it by itself. The colour and the knit, everything. Maybe because it's meant to be oversized and chunky. So I do like it, but on someone else (sorry WIT! other stuff looks good)

redllamayellowllama · 19/09/2011 11:19

I love WITs jumper, but agree that she is wearing it all wrong. Something you could make Marsha?

notyummy · 19/09/2011 11:28

I also mentally queried the WIT cable knit/belt decision - and to be honest, if she can't pull it off, it is unlikely to be a good look on me. I have ordered a (cheaper!) cable knit from Very, although it is longer. Will report back on how it looks. Suspect it may be too long and shapeless and make me look larger than life. Not the look I am going for Hmm.

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2011 11:28

These days I look at every knit and wonder if I could make it. What do they say... A little bit of knowledge is dangerous..

I saw this advert in Vogue. A whole knit special in fact. But not sure it ever looks as good.

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2011 11:30

NY it could look fab on you I think. Be good to know what you think of it.

ireallyagreewithyou · 19/09/2011 11:32

John Lewis have a leopard print skinny belt I have. is almost out of stock

MarshaBrady · 19/09/2011 11:36

So they do, that is close!
