Just bought a 7ml sample of Creme de la Mer from eBay fro £16.50 - only used it once so far but skin feels lovely.
Back at work on Monday after maternity leave so spent £50 on a good haircut yesterday and then another £40 on new makeup . That's on top of the £250 I spent on a new suit in Hobbs last week - dh doesn't know yet .... thank god for paperless billing credit cards!

French connection do good wool jersey black trousers that are very very flattering. They have a variation on them every year.

beetroot I am v excited - think I'll be transformed with make up and eyeborw shape.

hmmm, not sure if they are low rise - may try some on in a couple of months when my toning and honing regime at the gym has made some inroads on my midriff (everywhere else is looking good)!

Clary bootcut jeans officially o-v-e-r according to the Observer this weekend.

Straight or skinny are the way to go.

You need a bit of height for wide legged trousers or you end up with dwarf sailor look.

puff · 15/12/2005 10:53

I don't want any, but am curious about the jeans Victoria Beckham has designed - largest size available is probably an 8!

wide legs all the way down make you look as wide as your widest part (not wise with my arse) and adhering to fashionista advice makes you a FV (fashion victim) when really you should be wearing what suits you. Harumph.

Yes, def fitted at the top and then flaring out. And tailored top essential! No elastcated widies.

I have some french cut wide leg trousers and everyone always remarks on how slim I look in them - they skim my tum in a very flattering way.

walkinginawinterBundleland · 15/12/2005 11:10

beety, I hate fitted over bum trousers, find them uncomfortable and not a good look with my arse

puddle · 15/12/2005 11:12

Agree being a FV not good bundle. But nice to try new things I think, if you can make them work for you - sometimes fashion can nudge you out of a rut, freshen you up.

harpsiheraldangelssing · 15/12/2005 11:14

is the thing with wide legs to do with the weight of the fabric do you think? I have some linen ones which seems very flattering. but I would be nervous of a more drapy fabric, e.g. jersey, which I think would make my arse look like two fat piglets trying to escape in different directions
