I have two pairs of Mum Boots. They are virtually identical a) to each other and b) to the ones in the OP (I really need to know about those poor gurkhas). I don't really understand why I have two pairs.

They are useful.

bertiecat · 31/08/2011 10:57

I want those boots foundwantingEnvy

FrameyMcFrame · 31/08/2011 10:57

Can you describe Mum boots please, I can't read links on my phone.

Phwooooar · 31/08/2011 11:01

Worldgonecrazy - God, they are fab but have huge feet so no chance of anything remotely none mummish ..

noddyholder · 31/08/2011 11:02

I don't know why people have those ones in the OP what would they go with?

Phwooooar · 31/08/2011 11:08

Absolutely nothing! Boots should be flat or high heels

PattySimcox · 31/08/2011 11:41

Framey mum boots are black ankle mid heel boots that lots of us secretly own middle aged mums team with bootcut jeans, a fleece and across body bag. Practical, sensible but apparently not stylish enough

MissPenteuth · 31/08/2011 12:28

No, but I think my mum has them.

Nagoo · 31/08/2011 13:18

They make me wear the ones in the OP for work (uniform)

I live in FLY boots over the winter, or wellies if it snows.

moonstorm · 31/08/2011 13:54

Panzee · 31/08/2011 14:04

MyGoldfishIsEvil Do those Next boots have zips or are they pull on?

Algorta · 31/08/2011 14:39

How about these? struggling with mumboot identification

Algorta · 31/08/2011 14:44

And these, which were mentioned by a Wise and Avid-er recently but to my eye could be mum-esque

HallnotOates · 31/08/2011 14:46

Alas indeed

OP posts:
MyGoldfishIsEvil · 31/08/2011 14:47

Panzee, they are pull-on, but they do have some lacing at the back that could be loosened/tightened.

nenevomito · 31/08/2011 14:48

I have mum boots for work.

Sadly, only Gherkins though who are not suicidal and happy in their pot.

Fo0ffyShmoofer · 31/08/2011 14:49

Right, well I don't have any like the OP BUT I do have a pair of knee high with a square toe and a block heel.

Granted they are 13 years old. Shod I be ashamed? Is this not on? Are they still regarded as Mum Boots?

Hoto · 31/08/2011 14:52

I have and joyously wear Gumbies. I am Mumming Right Out.

Panzee · 31/08/2011 14:55

MyGoldfishIsEvil Thank you :)

Hoto · 31/08/2011 14:56

loike this seriously, mums in the park fucking love them. Everyone else just backs away nervously.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 31/08/2011 15:00

No I bloody don't. My mil has mum boots, say no more.

When I read the title I knew exactly what sort of boots you meant.

It's flat biker boots all the way here. I don't wear a heel as they take me to well over 6 foot which makes me feel like I am moving into tranny territory.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 31/08/2011 15:02

Those gumbies are like a Croc and Ugg hybrid

Algorta · 31/08/2011 15:18

So is any ankle boot that is neither high-heeled nor flat is a mum-boot? Even if mid-heels are in fashion?

boocha · 31/08/2011 16:43

Boak
