Yes but are they really culottes? When I was younger culottes were shorter and baggier, sort of looked liked a skirt but wasn't IYKWIM. The one in the shop are tailored aren't they? More like pedal pushers?

northerner · 28/11/2005 20:22

Wear them with knee high boots I think.......

JonesTheSteam · 28/11/2005 20:23

harpsichordcarrier

I'm with you on the culottes thing - "they are all over the shops like a rash but I am not sure if I can pull them off or not.
too old/fat?"

This applies to me as well!!!!!!!

Any help / advice please?

harpsichordcarrier · 28/11/2005 20:24

yes they are tailored
I have knee hight boots for the first time in my life and that's whay I was asking
will people point and stare at a 36 yo woman with a size 14 ar8e wearing them do you think?

JonesTheSteam · 28/11/2005 20:25

What about a 33 year old size 12 (ish) one as well?

Personally I think they'd probably look ok, but I'd probably buy them and never have the guts to wear them.

I have loads of clothes in my wardrobe I've bought like that!!!

northerner · 28/11/2005 20:27

I think, there's no age limit, but possibly height is an issue. Not for short arses IYKWIM

Milliways · 28/11/2005 20:28

Ignored customer shuffles out the shop to M&S

harpsichordcarrier · 28/11/2005 20:30

three line WHIP of course....

northerner · 28/11/2005 20:30

Phew - that's ok then, hc!!!

In the last school I worked in (when I could actually afford to buy from Kew ), the other two teachers who were about my age, were 5'8" and 5'10" - made me feel like a right shortarse!!!!
