Can you find me a nice top/jumper suitable for an informal christmas dinner. Will either wear black or brown trousers. Pref within £40 max budget, and would like to be able to wear it in year so not too showy.

FrenchKissUnderMistletoeGirl · 28/11/2005 19:21

it's black aloha but it's beautiful

Hello

I need a short but flattering dress, with sleeves (or at least the top of the arms covered) and not too tight- kinda floaty would be good and some shoes or boots to wear with it please

SoupDragon · 28/11/2005 19:36
Wink
puff · 28/11/2005 19:38

love that bustle skirt

ScummyMummy · 28/11/2005 20:09

Frenchgirl is really good at this! And she has a nicer bedside manner than mallory too. I was too scared to come in when mallory was in charge.

Hello Mrs shop lady

I want a wrap thingy (I'm old) that isn't black but looks good over black stuff. Not too bright. Don't suit yellow or orange, don't like blue much except for turquoise. OK with some patterns but too much swamps me (I'm 5 ft 2.5). Tried Monsoon today, nothing I liked. Anything?

LadyTophamHatt · 28/11/2005 20:18

Yes, enid is right on my boots quest! french girl is a genius at new boots links, she did tonnes for me earlier.

Am I really bad to be a still searching for some when I tried a nice (not gorgeous but ok) pair on earlier in...wait for it......Asda! Plain pointy, black leather, about 2-2.5 inch siletto heel (too high to be kitten heels anyway) and they were only £30!

I was just a bit disappionted that Dh didn't have to choose them himself.

Should I just go and get them and save him the agony of shopping?

harpsichordcarrier · 28/11/2005 20:18

I have another query, pls
cullottes
yes or no?
they are all over the shops like a rash but I am not sure if I can pull them off or not.
too old/fat?
and if so what shoes/boots to go with them?

ScummyMummy · 28/11/2005 20:18

Yes but I like seeing fG trying and failing to be scary. Are you really ?

harpsichordcarrier · 28/11/2005 20:19

the shop makes me snort too
keep thinking of frannyf explaining it too her dh
"well there are these women that I don't know and we pretend to have a shop..."
then laughing in a superior fashion

ScummyMummy · 28/11/2005 20:20

It is v funny at times.
