So, should I be panic-buying loads of coral coloured stuff or what?

Right so I got my colours done on the weekend (!) and I'm a bright/clear spring and to cut a long story short one of my really good colours is that pinky orange/coral that is about a lot at the moment, or flamingo pink, or a peachy pink. Coral, basically, is what it tends to be called.

Since then I've seen shedloads of coral coloured stuff about, much of it in the sale or about to be. Its possibly passed me by before now but I suspect it has been one of the season's "fashionable" colours - or is it always about of a summertime? Hmm Confused

Anyways. I've never been attracted to it on the hanger particularly but it does make me look 10 years younger and light up my face and make my eyes pop out in a good way and generally make me look like there's life in the old girl yet. Obviously there are lots of other colours that also looked good but none of them quite made the lady draping me and her other victim client's jaws drop to the floor quite so much

So is it a temporary thing, will this colour dissapear for approximately a decade till it comes back in again, or is it always about a bit in the summertime? If not, I guess I should buy a few key pieces in the size I ought to be my size? Confused

Got it bad - putting off decorating my front room till I have had my colours done as now can't stand the thought of clashing

No Tatty, run my own business and the HOC woman is in the same place where I go on a tax course every year or so and it just seamed like a little white lie as he does think all this sort of stuff I love is wankery Grin -

If anyone is looking for denim to fit into your pallet check out these jeans from ASOS:

www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Rio-Blue-High-Waist-Kickflare/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1391869&r=2

It's hard to tell in the photos but they are an unusual shade of blue, not typical denim at all. Lighter and almost turquoise! Really nice fit too.

it is hard to see in the pic - but wow what a bargain! Thanks foof!

arghh, our fb group is down

Thought you'd all like to know that springs are rare(ish)! See the reply I've just had from 'Pretty your world' after me emailing them about more pics of Springs [teenager emoticon]

Hello Cake Thanks for writing. About Springs: they are certainly more rare than summers and winters but not as rare as Warm Springs and a few other seasons. About celebrities, I simply have not had much time to add additional celebrities lately. I am about to launch my makeup line and its taking a lot of time and resources. As for 'real women', it is challenging to get ANY women to let me use their photos, much less a specific season. Most women simply don't want their photos posted online. But I will be on the lookout for more Spring celebrities. Thanks! Lora Alexander www.PrettyYourWrold.com

Questions and/or Comments: Amazing site!
Just wondered why you seem to feature so few Springs (have a look at all your celeb photos, barely a Spring amongst them) and as a Spring myself I'm very keen to see more of them please. Are Springs rarer than the other seasons?
Can you do some more real-life and celeb Springs please?
Thank you!

Cake - been trying to get on the FB group to post my daily thoughts so I feel your pain!
Working a bright blue, red, pink combo today FYI!
Hope to be back on FB later.
Any more Springs want to join us?

moragbellingham · 25/08/2011 12:00

Trying to sort out a FB profile as my Morag one wouldn't be appropriate and also has far too many friend requests (now why I didn't anticipate that happening I don't know!).
Wearing black todayShock

KristinaM · 26/08/2011 18:44

Noooooooo! Tell me more

BirdyBedtime · 29/08/2011 16:44

Thanks opalmum for earlier recommendations but they had gone by the time I got back to the thread. My jumper mission continues but I'd also really like a nice long sleeved dress in Spring colours for winter that costs less than £50 - is this an impossible search? FWIW having read the later pages of the thread now I'm now semi-regretting the navy trousers (ok, cords to be honest) I've just bought today from M&S. I was more drawn to the camel ones but trousers that light just aren't practical with a 2 year old! I'll console myself that they aren't black.

BirdyBedtime · 29/08/2011 16:45

Oh yes, and please don't abandon MN altogether on this topic - I'm not on FB and am loving all of the tips here.

CakeandRoses · 01/09/2011 00:11

birdy our fb group is worth getting a computer for let alone joining fb for! Grin
