Outfit A or outfit B? (Or neither!)

My Dad is getting married in a couple of weeks and I have had an outfit ready for about 5 months, but I tried it on the other day with my new accessories and I'm just not sure it is right any more. So after a shopping trip I have come home with a second dress that is very different from my first one and although I love it, I am not entirely sure it is right either! I have trouble finding dresses to fit as I am tall, shapeless and flat chested, so these are the only 2 that seemed to work.

Can you please help me to decide which dress to wear. I have put photos on my profile page and I'm hoping they are clear enough for you to see the dresses. I still need a hat or flower for my hair, but can only decide on this once I know what dress I am wearing!

So... outfit A or outfit B?!!

TIA Grin

Definitely dress A - very good legs!

felicity10 · 05/05/2011 12:20

Dress A, very sassy. Have fun.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 05/05/2011 12:21

I love the colour of A but IMO it does look a little shapeless, B gives you a shape.

Ungratefulchild · 05/05/2011 12:24

Purple, nude shoes, you'll look fab!

DukesOfTripHazard · 05/05/2011 12:26

Oh A. You look lovely. I'd do silver shoes and silver hair thingy

NeverNude · 05/05/2011 12:28

The blue/purple one, t really suits you.

galletti · 05/05/2011 12:28

Definitely A. You look great!

TracyK · 05/05/2011 12:39

Defo A - spray tan legs, nude shoes, nude bag, nice big cuff and something purple/pink in hair.

TracyK · 05/05/2011 12:39

oh and purple/pink pashmina for night

jamaisjedors · 05/05/2011 12:44

A is lovely - great legs!

Pinkjenny · 05/05/2011 12:52

A.

polyhymnia · 05/05/2011 12:54

I'd probably go for purple rather than silver hair thingy if you are a 'silvery' or ashy blonde rather than a honey or dark blonde.

DuchessEm · 05/05/2011 12:54

Thanks, everyone! Purple it is, then! Grin I have just been googling nude coloured shoes and it is so difficult to get any that don't have a big platform sole! I'm already 5' 10" and don't really want to be towering over DH! Plus have a 1 year old and 4 year old to run around after. Think a trip to the shops definitely in order!

Silver would be great too, I think.

Btw, v. strongly support the spray tan suggestion - I always book one for summer weddings. Sure you will be wise enough to avoid the tangoed look some of the guests at the royal wedding displayed!

popstar · 05/05/2011 13:04

This on your head if you can find it in-store as out of stock on-line. Agree nude, silver or even gold shoes/bag.
Am also v Envy of your legs!

DuchessEm · 05/05/2011 13:07

Will definitely get tanned! Don't want pale, bruised legs on show! Grin Thanks for the link, popstar. Will be going into John Lewis next Monday, so will take a look then!

Purple

ivykaty44 · 05/05/2011 13:34

a

moragbellingham · 05/05/2011 14:51

Purple dress definitely and nude (Ted Baker sandals with nude and gold) or pale snakeskin accessories.
Do you have to have a fascinator? Can't you do the unpopular SamCam big jewelled hair ornament thing instead - much prettier (and younger IMO).

celticlassie · 05/05/2011 15:46

A - definitely.

tulpe · 05/05/2011 15:53

Definitely A.

I tried that dress on before Christmas so know it looks good in the flesh :) If i had bought it, I would wear with gold or pewter rather than silver.

chickchickchicken · 05/05/2011 16:01

definitely A

PurveyorOfBaloney · 05/05/2011 16:02

Dammit, was going to come on and complain about your legs, but everyone else got there before me. Put them away woman!

The blue one looks best Grin

DuchessEm · 05/05/2011 17:05

Grin In RL they are covered in bruises from banging then on the pushchair! Think I'll have to wear shin pads in the week leading up to the wedding!

Morag, can't get the link to work but think I know which shoes you mean as I was drooling over some that sound very similar in John Lewis the other week!

Tulpe, it is lovely! Took me ages to press and steam it this morning! They had it in red last year which was lovely, but didn't have any events to wear it to.

Thanks again for all the replies!
