Kristina - you may have put your finger on the problem here, we're not getting old, there's just a bastard huge root system somewhere sapping us dry Grin

AnyFucker · 03/05/2011 21:56
Grin

gardening advice can apply to any life scenario, I reckon

Al0uiseG · 03/05/2011 21:59

Indeed, chin hairs are the Rose bush suckers of midlife. Spiky, come out of nowhere and a bugger to get rid of while taking the gloss from the main stem.

Nah Kristina is on the right thread. Thanks Kristina - gardening centre on Saturday (again).

Pag - same here. I've 'done' platform soles, massive flares, skinnies, leggings too many times to count, espadrilles, mini skirts, maxi skirts. There's nothing new.

Now that really would be scary.

Horses

Hormones

Horticulture

Hi Kerry - I wanna join this quiche please, and will read it all tomorrow. When I find my glasses...

Swedes2 · 03/05/2011 22:47

I think most of those women on the grey website look better before they embraced gray. It's the five stages of middle-age and I'm clearly stuck at denial.

c0rn51lk · 03/05/2011 22:51

men look better with grey hair than women.

who knew there were so many old birds on here

LovelyDaffs · 03/05/2011 22:57

I am not an old bird regardless of being referred to as an older lady by the fool who did my facial the other day. Forty fucking three is NOT old.

I am also not in denial. Grin

I'm not bloody embracing grey for YEARS. I will be one of those insane old women you see with the face of <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=johngushue.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83451f25369e201347ff6f7c2970c-800wi&imgrefurl=johngushue.typepad.com/blog/2010/04/wh-auden-on-desire.html&usg=__CPY_vS3P-uEg_0JKwf1cyxGBJRE=&h=768&w=576&sz=65&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=4kqfMNH58o1fDM:&tbnh=146&tbnw=110&ei=8HnATeSINc238gPB9NHoBQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dw%2Bh%2Bauden%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1152%26bih%3D465%26gbv%3D2%26tbm%3Disch&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=574&page=1&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0&tx=40&ty=111" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">WH Auden and no grey hair whatsoever.

I don't think I have any chin hairs, which worries me a bit. I'm worried that maybe I do, and I just haven't seen them yet. I spend way too much time stroking my chin on the offchance that I'll find one.

c0rn51lk · 03/05/2011 22:59

hey lovely daffs aren't you on the MCR thread? Glad to see a fellow manc in their prime Grin

Swedes2 · 03/05/2011 23:00

Is Kaliko really like a posh Per Una? I bought two of their dresses (arrived today) and they couldn't be more pared down design-wise and they didn't come with a necklace. Having said all that I've never bought from them before nor have I been in one of their shops.

I used to love Noa Noa stuff but I've realised recently it just looks scruffy on me. Ditto Fat Face and White Stuff.

c0rn51lk · 03/05/2011 23:01

I thought that I had no chin hairs until ds pointed them out...hopefully I don't have any now

c0rn51lk · 03/05/2011 23:01

lol at didn't come with a necklace Grin

c0rn51lk · 03/05/2011 23:02

Fat face is scruffy isn't it?
I like Isabella Oliver and white company.

moondog · 03/05/2011 23:06

I think Kaliko do some lovely things.
I bought a fab dress from there last year (with ample support from MN) for a really important presentation and got lots of compliments.

Just got two this week which are nice but a little flimsy so will go back.

Not Per Una at all-no weird fastenings or ruffles.

Very plain structured shift dresses which is my style.
I don't do fussy.

c0rn51lk · 03/05/2011 23:09

am looking at kaliko online and can see a few bits I like.
this is bargainous actually

Swedes2 · 03/05/2011 23:09

I feel I'm near the top of a fashion mountain about to join those clad in Max Mara, Day Birger Mikk and very very old Levi's, but I may easily lose my footing and end up half way down the mountain in a jade polyester shell top from the Portfolio range.
