On a S&B note, some of the Eurovision outfits are Shock

Bloss saw on another thread the P8 maxi is now sold out in sizes 8 til 14 online. The Bloss effect maybe? Smile

moragbellingham · 14/05/2011 22:10

I'm having an Esmerelda tonightWine and enjoying Eurovision.

Go Spain go! I'm learning the dance as my party trickGrin

blossoming · 14/05/2011 22:18

That's really cool ollie! DH wants me to get commission. Also he managed 1 minute of Iceland and we're back on Sky sports. Both of us are drunk tipsy and 'interacting'!

OP posts:
OllieWollieWoo · 14/05/2011 22:26

Er Bloss - does "interacting" mean you're snogging???? Wink

Fleecy · 14/05/2011 22:30

I'm staying in tonight too - was supposed to be out with friends but just too tired from yesterday's shopping trip with a remarkably patient DH. My parents kindly looked after the DC so we could both get some RL shopping in to make a change from buying online.

DH got loads of nice tops and shirts, I got this dress and these orangey-red jeans and am going back to get the pink on Monday, plus a patterned boho maxi skirt that also works as a midi strapless dress and some new cheap undies (boobs growing rapidly but no point in getting decent stuff just for a few months) and jewellery from Primark. Noticed they had some Marant-esque pale pink skinnies for £10 for anyone who is interested - not a colour I find easy to wear but a bargain.

Also got some rust colour crepe palazzo pants - didn't try them on but said to DH they would be amazing or awful. Turns out they're amazingly awful Grin so I am going to return them and get these instead plus a pair of bright pink skinnies for colour blocking.

Hope you're all enjoying Eurovision. We're watching the September issue this evening. DH bored...

blossoming · 14/05/2011 22:36

No ollie, we're shouting at players and referees!! Oh my life!!

Great day fleecy.

On the subject of snogging, ds caught my parents at it today. Gross.

redllamayellowllama · 14/05/2011 23:08

Pissed and breaking the back of this evening's debris whilst DH shouts at Eurovision (something wrong with this picture, I think). Ended up getting through champagne and lots of beer as our lovely friends announced they are expecting their first baby. They're two of our favourite people and we're trying to convince them to move to Bristol - he's From London and she's from Aberystwyth, so a happy middle ground.

Anyway, I'm being boring. Hope you have had lovely evenings.

ooh not too drunk to be looking at links - love both maxis very much indeed.

Back from wine-tasting. Was very nice except when one couple left and everyone else suddenly jumped up to leave while we were watching the Eurovision.

petitdonkey · 15/05/2011 08:00

Bottled it on the Robert Palmer look but went with zebra print heels and bare legs instead. Great night but got in at 2am and DD was up at 5:30, got her to go back until just after 6 but am now paying the price.... Can I face Shred today, post Chinese and booze???

I'm going to try to catch up on the thread now as I've had a weird week and haven't been here. I have the WC maxi and it's lovely - wore it the other day with a long skinny cardi (zara), belt and ballet flats. I can also recommend this in plain navy - doesnt look very flattering on the model but I like the fact it's more covered up than most maxis.

OllieWollieWoo · 15/05/2011 08:19

Glad we got the meaning of 'interacting' cleared up Bloss!!! How funny!
Petitdonkey outfit sounded great - love animal style print shoes with black. Also love the style of that FC maxi too - v wearable compared to many which are strapless or v strappy.

Quiet day here today - quite worn out after all the excitement of Eurovision Wink!

FritziGreenEyes · 15/05/2011 09:25

Opinions on Missoni dresses here or here? I used to hanker after Missoni knitwear years ago, now that I could afford it, I am not 100% sure.

redllamayellowllama · 15/05/2011 10:12

petit I have that very maxi in Navy on today; love it for the reasons that you mentioned. Have decided against the WC one, which I really like, as it is a bit too similar to the FC one. Love the sound of your chosen outfit last night.

Fritzi I can't see your links, but, FWIW, I really love Missoni prints and have always hammered after some Missoni in my wardrobe.

Everyspring, thank you for that, was most tickled by it last night!

We have some more friends coming over today for lunch with their DCs. I decided a few weeks ago that our social life was a bit lacklustre, so made loads of arrangements for the coming months.

Am in the market for a navy Cardigan - boyfriend style. Wuld you rate the Boden one Bloss? Anyone seen any others?

redllamayellowllama · 15/05/2011 10:12

Hammered? Hankered.

carciofi · 15/05/2011 12:33

Can't open your links either Fritzi but I love Missoni and have a couple of scarves.

I gave up drinking for 6 months a few years ago when I wasn't happy in my job and decided to change. And now I have given it up (more or less!) for nine months!

Petit, that maxi is very pretty. Do you find you use your Bayswater much with small dc? I might put off buying it for a while and get a shoulder bag instead.

DH is going to ask his mum to arrive on my due date and put her up for two weeks (well if she doesn't mind staying so long) so that's all sorted and in the unlikely event the baby arrives early my friends will take DD.

Red, Pure Collection have some nice navy cardigans, I think. I sent back that Boden cardigan but only because I didn't like the colour I ordered, it seems good quality.

Jedward were at a table beside me in a restaurant a while ago. I think they are quite sweet. They look so young!

MrsJuan, happy birthday to your DD.

carciofi · 15/05/2011 12:56

Oooh, I will certainly try the Westfield approach to bringing on labour. Really like your Carvela sandals.

blossoming · 15/05/2011 13:42

redllama, it's the chiffon trim that I have - shorter than the boyfriend of last year but still bum covering for cropped jeggings. I love boden merino.

FritziGreenEyes · 15/05/2011 14:35

Happy birthday MrsJuanita-chica! Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks for feedback about Missoni. I fear the knit will make me look grannyish and have decided the wise-thing to do, is to try a knit dress on in RL and see how it looks like before I order.

petit Fab outfit! Skip the shred and relax with cups of coffee. It is Sunday Smile.

red All your socialising sounds fab. I always feel so happy when I reconnect with old friends or have spent a night out with DH and people I genuinely like.

notyummy · 15/05/2011 14:41

Hi all. Nothing of note happening here, except that I am relaxing here reading the Sunday papers whilst DH takes dd out to do the shopping! 'My' stripey dress from Oasis is featured in the Observer magazine. Had a great yoga session this morning after all rhe high impact stuff I have been doing for the last 4 days.

Petit- even I don't always exercise with a hangover!! Did your KM dress arrive?

Happy birthday to MrsJs dd.

vinestein · 15/05/2011 14:55

Hello all

looby so sorry about your friend

So, the shredding has not gone to plan.. I have done it 7 times in 2 weeks.. but, better than none! I have the best of intentions but I don't have time in the morning (you'd have thought being 20-30mins I would have time, but somehow I am always late)

seeing as my backside has expanded since joining new firm (with a cake shelf next to me) I think I need to re-double my efforts. It has already made my calves and my arms better though, after just 7 times?

Work v stressful! am investigating anniemac's links for clothes, in a bit of a rut, love that skirt

Hope everyone is okay. I think I need to be spray tanned- I have never been spray tanned. Any tips?

Still no decision on the medicine front, I have to decide by 1st June Shock aargh

Lots of random shopping but mostly things like shirts. Not v exciting! Got a tan bag yesterday in a vintage shop that I'm really happy with, was £28 and is nice, v soft, no metal on it at all and big enough for books and files and all sorts of rubbish. Also went a bit mad and got a bright red leather bag and a bright pink one, not sure when to wear! Have a huge pile of things 'to ebay' but haven't go around to it yet, will get there.. oh, and got a 'kate middletoon blue' dress- it's lovely, v cheap, but can't link- haven't worn it yet but is silk and think will wear with a blazer, natch, for work perhaps

vinestein · 15/05/2011 14:58

ooh I like this dress but poss a little inappropriate for the office. ho hum

vinestein · 15/05/2011 15:01

love this (apols, just clicking through 'style steals' on matches)

vinestein · 15/05/2011 15:06

and these

petitdonkey · 15/05/2011 15:15

redllama - I've got a lovely grey, fine knit boyfriend cardi from Zara. I can't find it on their site but you know they do their basic knit (v-neck jumpers, polo necks, crew) in loads of colours all folded on the tables? I got it there and would be surprised if they don't do navy. I really like it as it's quite fine, it's also cheap as chips!

carciofi - I've only recently rediscovered using my Bayswater recently as it was relagated due to Alexa. I really love it (oak) and got it out when I saw a woman in the street with one and thought how lovely it looked. I always found it handy when the kiddies were really little (although it has got a really bad stain where some water leaked) - I buy the sets of plastic zip-up bags from M&S and use the little one for make-up, paracetemol etc. and the medium one for nappies, wipes etc. That way when I change bags or go out child free, I can just swap the pouches around. (Obviously that sounds super organised and it doesn't always work that smoothly!!)

Fritzi - thank-you for the order, I will of course obey!! "Sorry Jillian, can't Shred today 'cause someone in the pooter said so" Grin

Notyummy - Got KM dress and really love it - thanks!! Went for a 14 to accommodate my boobs but there's a lot of fabric around the waist. It may need altering if Shred continues to work - I've lost three inches from my waist since 2nd May!!

vinestein - impressed with all the bag shopping and your dress sounds lovely - was it the Zara one or from somewhere else?

On another note, had some wine and was Mumsnetting the other night and the result was two Damsel in a Dress purchases (such an annoying name) - Don't know what I was thinking - the cut is terrible and now I just have the hassle of returning them!!
