MarshaBrady · 10/05/2011 07:39

Yum Fritzi I hope you have a lovely coffee with that!

MarshaBrady · 10/05/2011 07:40

not ? but >

Emo76 · 10/05/2011 08:17

everyspring I do like that Autograph dress!

fleecy so sorry to hear about your friend. Life is fragile indeed.

Have skipped all the pages regarding birth experiences - aaaagh!

Am on the hunt at lunchtime for a supportive flattering swimsuit/bikini for this weekend. Even considering one of those old lady style slimmer suits but hoping I can do a bit better!! And have booked a spray tan for Thursday - am hoping it doesn't turn me orange.. Grin

blossoming · 10/05/2011 08:26

(Looks out of window), what shall I wear? Long socks, boots, scarf, raincoat....
Ah, the joys of north Wales!

Hate to say it Bloss but the weather is stunning here. DD duely suncreamed before heading to school. Am working from home and am off for a run shortly because it will be too warm for a long run later according to the forecast. Got to take her for a blood test at the hospital later so hopefully she will be relatively sanguine like she was before. She has had a new vaccination against different strains of pneumonia that will hopefully protect against the strain that she has been hospitalised with twice. They now need to check that the vaccination has worked.

Fritzi - the hotel you stayed at looks really stunning.

OllieWollieWoo · 10/05/2011 09:30

I'm not really here - should be getting on with tons of Dutch homework but had to go to the supermarket, unpack shopping and then have a big tidy up of work area - can't abide working surrounded by clutter and mess! Am now looking for other distractions - maybe I should de-frost the freezer?!
Raining here too Bloss.

Things v unsettled for DH at work at the moment - means we will have to put moving/extension plans on hold for at least 6 months. Really felt for him last night when he told me what's happening - he had so much upheaval and stress in his previous job and his current job has been completely the opposite up until now - but now it looks as if we will go through it all again. He is away sailing this WE which will be a good distraction I think.

Right I really must get on - tell me off if you see me on here within the next 4 hours!

pickledsiblings · 10/05/2011 09:47

Yes Fritzi, I loved the look of that Hotel too. Have you ever gone skiing in that area?

NY, well done on your presentation, great suit and blouse. Did you wear your hair up or down?

Bloss, just wait 'til you're back at school and eating school puddings, yum yum!

OWW, that is one intensive language course - make sure you do your H/W. I'm sure the Dutch always do their H/W.

Emo, good luck with the spray tan. When is your trip?

My stupid gap order never arrived and they've cancelled it now. Never mind, fabby Gaggi coffee machine arrived on time for DH's b'day and we've been having one skinny latte per day (mustn't over indulge) for the last few days.

Enjoy the sunshine lovely ladies Smile.

pickledsiblings · 10/05/2011 09:49

v. nice KeepCalm, I may have to order that.

OWW, sorry to hear about DH's job. I hope it's not as bad as he thinks.

blossoming · 10/05/2011 10:22

Very nice top keepcalm. They have some nice stuff don't they?

So I changed my outfit. And put on my clean hunters instead.

Too warm for a run notyummy. I can't believe it!

Head down ollie!

emo, Dh has said 'no' to me having a spray tan. I may ignore him!
Have I mentioned how envious I am of your trip?

pickled, you're not from the same quaint Irish town are you? That would be weird.

Yesterday I had 2 portions of wheat (morning 'blue' alpen, and 1 slice wholemeal toast). Today I had one (alpen). I just made porridge for the first time ever - never tasted it before! It was okay. I sweetened it with a bit of apple juice and added cinnamon. So tomorrow I should be wheat free, if I make porridge for breakfast. It could be a good choice for me. I really like warm food. I find cold stuff doesn't satisfy me (my excuse for being a salad avoider).

OP posts:
VerityBrulee · 10/05/2011 10:56

Bloss I alternate between porridge and scrambled eggs for breakfast, but I find on the egg days I am not remotely hungry until lunchtime whereas with the porridge I am hungry about 11.

I found that bikini, it is called The Bia made by Vix as lauded here apologies for the DM link!

NY your presentation sounded v impressive, hats off to you! It's so long since I've had to do anything like that I'd be a quivering mess.

Enjoy the sun if you have it

VerityBrulee · 10/05/2011 10:59

OWW hope things aren't as bad as your dh fears, good luck with the homework.

Like the stripes KeepCalm but have banned myself from buying any more stripey tops.

Dreadfully sad news about Kelly Brook.
Your link to shopbop verity, omg, I really didn't need to see that bikini bod right now! I will do the same as you I think and alternate eggs with porridge. With my spelt bread toasts.

Right, 3 hours is enough I think! I thought all the exercises on the CDRom would never end! You get little ticks and crosses at the end of each one to tell you how you've done - appeals to my competitive nature! One of the audio conversations was of a boy and girl on a train and it goes:
Boy: Is this seat free?
Girl: Yes. Are you going to Amsterdam too.
Boy: No, Amersfoort. Do you live there?
Girl: Yes I'm a student and live in a student flat.
Boy: Whats your name?
Girl: Sarah
Boy: Nice name, for a nice girl. Can I have your telephone number?
Girl, No, but I will give you my email address!

Hussy! They had only just met! I was Shock

My Next delivery has just arrived with few bits for DSs and that blouse I linked to a while back in grey (more of a mushroom/grey in RL) which is lovely - good everyday top for my white jeans I think.

OllieWollieWoo · 10/05/2011 12:59

OOoh - my lovely friend just sent me a blog about Bodens new A/W collection

here
Scroll down - some v cute bird print items for your DDs!

OllieWollieWoo · 10/05/2011 13:16

Bloss - was it you who mentioned Fake Bake? Know you wanted a tan done professionally but I recently ordered this Fake Bake stuff for fair skin and it fab here

redllamayellowllama · 10/05/2011 13:29

Not sure how much fruit you're eating Bloss, but I've been having this spelt muesli for breakfast and it's lovely - very filling. A little on e expensive side for a cereal, but you don't need much of it.

OWW you are very conscientious, well done ! And, thank you for the Boden link; the birdie dress is gorgeous and will be on DDs A/W wishlist.

Have given Stripy Janice her first outing with no tights; with tan sandals and orange nails today. Even made a bit of an effort with my hair and received many compliments at playgroup. Am meeting a friend for drinks tonight, so as not to 'waste' the outfit Blush.

For emo (?-don't know if you do) and anyone needing an underwired swimsuit - I've just had this delivered and I love it. It's a bit more St Ives than Miami but really nice on.

blossoming · 10/05/2011 17:42

Great links there ollie. Well done on completing your homework!

redllama, I had a look at Dorset cereals yesterday online, and most of them have added sugar, so no good for me! In fact I really don't like most muesli as I only really like almonds and maybe a little hazlenuts, and I'm not too fussed on dried fruit either! But Alpen, I love. I'm sure one portion a day will be fine, once I've done my 2 weeks.
I know my downfall is bread and butter. Now my spelt bread is in the freezer so not so available!

PlumSykes · 10/05/2011 19:42

OWW, had 2 requests at school gate today for your shortbread recipe. Told them it was friend's secret family recipe, so I couldn't possibly pass it on.

Three more sleeps 'til Florence. Outlets here I come!

RedLlama, you still thinking of moving to Brizzle?
