New thread here!

Have a good time, NY.

Where is the AllNewOoooh?

My friend told me to just throw on a tracksuit when taking DD to nursery. Shock Never!

OllieWollieWoo · 01/04/2011 16:06

Had a thought on Operation Tillie - every year after his sailing holiday, DH laments that he would like a boat (small wooden one with sail). We've always agreed to get one when the boys are older (I picture days out sitting with a good book on the side of a lake whilst DH and DSs play swallows and amazons on the water - I hate sailing!). This year may be the year to encourage DH into buying one - they cost about the same as a Tillie - do you see where I am going with this??? Smile

Re houlihans - Triology squeezed me into a 28 saying tight was best but think I would be more comfortable in a 29 or 30 (normally size 12). Fritzi did you get the same size as the ones you tried on?

Have the (slightly on the poncey side!) wine tasting evening for the parents from DS1s class this evening. Hope the Sommelier brings enough bread/cheese to scoff else we are are going to have a room of very drunk parents!

Have lovely weekends all.

blossoming · 01/04/2011 16:20

Glad to hear notyummy rocking the A&W uniform!
Thank you carciofi. What would HoC say about khaki Wink! They are quite obscenely expensive here in comparison aren't they.
Sounds like a plan ollie! I remember when I went to Trilogy they tried to stuff me into too small jeans too. Have fun tonight!

Am ill. Fever bleep went off of on my ear thermometer and everything. 38.5. My eyes feel like they are burning up. Feel faint. Am on my own with 2 small children and DHis stuck in traffic. Am. Not. Feeling. The. Yummy Mummy thing. Want to lie down in dark room and wallow in self pity. Must go DD is trying to hawl DS up the stairs. They are squealing with laughter but DD is 5 and DS is 1 so perhaps not the best idea.....

blossoming · 01/04/2011 18:03

Oh, ants, you poor thing. Hang on in there.
I feel like hiding in a dark room too mind you, and there's nothing wrong with me!

exhausted, I just bought this bra as I wanted an unpadded one. I got the american nude, but it comes in lots of colours and there is a lightly padded version too. Also at sale price.
Off out to mother's group. Really don't want to go. I look run ragged. 2 school runs in the wind and the rain, eye make up has run etc etc. Will wear stripey janice, shoeboots and trench coat.
Back tomorrow.

petitdonkey · 01/04/2011 19:24

Ants - do you have anyone nearby that can come over for an hour?? People love to be of help in my experience. Hope you feel better soon.

exhausted - sorry you are feeling crappy. We are so hard on ourselves - to me, a size 12 and 28 jeans would be my very happy place (am definitely a 14 at the moment and have been 16 not too long ago) but I do understand that you weren't feeling your best. I also hate shops dictating what you shouldn't wear (although I'm a nude bra advocate myself Wink) - I once refused to consider buying a BMW because they didn't do them in red which was what I fancied!! 50 shades of grey/silver? yes. Red? no!
Have a large glass of wine and plan to wear something that makes you feel nice tomorrow regardless of whether or not it is appropriate!!

notyummy · 01/04/2011 20:12

In hotel. V cool and dressy vibe! Bar is Great. Asymmetric grey silk dress will be coming out tomorrow evening!

Ants- Get well soon.

FritziGreenEyes · 01/04/2011 20:17

ants Your poor thing... I was just starting to feel sorry for myself as I have been on my own with nit-infested DD all week but your post just made me pull myself together. Hope your DH will be home soon and you can get some rest and TLC over the weekend. How is DS?

exhausted I have two lovely ivory bras from Chantelle. Have a safe journey home! Remember that you look fab and totally un-frumpy in your Houlis.

carciofi and bloss Your DDs will look gorgeous this summer! DD has a white broderie dress from Zara.

bloss So difficult re Houli size. I got the 27 in the end although I'd say I'm a large 10. Could you try some pairs on during your next London trip and order once you know the size for sure? I am going to buy a non-padded bra tomorrow. When I wore my first padded bra my Grandma asked me if I had a boob job. She was very direct Grin.

petit The story about not buying a car because they didn't have it in the right colour just made me smile!

ollie Sounds like a good strategy for operation Tillie.

notyummy Love the outfit. Have fun!

Right, I need another glass of prosecco, it's Friday, yay!!! Little-Brady had a good birthday and you can put up your feet up now Marsha!

FritziGreenEyes · 01/04/2011 20:19

notyummy I sooo want to get dressed up and go out now!!!! Will browse NAP instead.

FritziGreenEyes · 01/04/2011 20:25

Ok, I need a new trench. I have one from Zara but it is more like a jacket and the colour a bit too dark. Votes please:

Number one from Zara

Number two in khaki from Banana Republic. Is that yours bloss?

Number three stone-coloured from Burberry

I love the Burberry best but it is a lot of money and I'm not sure if I would be able to throw it nonchalantly on the floor or stuff in my bag as I do with my jackets now.

bouncingblueberries · 01/04/2011 20:40

ants you poor thing. Hope your dh gets home soon and you can take yourself straight to bed. Being ill while in charge of dc is rubbish and so, so hard Sad

bloss I bet you look gorgeous and not wind swept at all.

carciofi lovely coat.

notyummy and bloss might have to investigate 6W6P - am intrigued! Although have yet to reach level three of Shred....hmm, maybe I should endeavor to do that first!

Have a busy weekend ahead. My parents arrive tomorrow morning and we have ds1's 5th birthday party on Sunday. Excited to have my mum here for Mother's day though Smile. Speaking of Mother's day, I swear my dh has been reading these threads...he came home today with my mother's day present from the dc and insisted I try it on. He didn't want ds1 to give it to me on Sunday and then for it to turn out to be unsuitable/wrong size etc. It was only STRIPEY JANICE! Waaaaaah! Excited much! Clever clever wonderful dh Grin (and I hadn't even dropped any hints - he spotted it in HoF and recognised it as the stripey version of my new navy dress - so clever!)

Might wear it Sunday to ds1's birthday party or might save it for first day back to work on Tuesday (eek - trying not to think to hard about that. la la la la la

bouncingblueberries · 01/04/2011 20:42

Fritz I like the Zara one

carciofi · 01/04/2011 20:56

Blueberrierries, your dh sounds very thoughtful, that is a lovely present. I hinted to my dh that it is Mother's day on Sunday but he said our anniversary is coming up so that's enough! I hope your return to work goes smoothly.

Fritzi, my favourite is the Burberry but the Zara one is a close second.

Exhausted, I have a nice white bra by Triumph, this one. Sorry you are feeling crappy.

I will be shredding come June so will put 6W6P on the list!

Have a nice night, Bloss. Outfit sounds great.

moragbellingham · 01/04/2011 20:58

Fritzi - have you seen the Zara in RL - I think it's the best considering the colour. Looks good in RL.
A strange representation of the colour khaki from BR too!! Although that is also nice in RL but not doubly nice IYSWIM.
As for the Burberry......my DD are too young to appreciate jst how cross I would beGrin to receive satsuma juice on it!

moragbellingham · 01/04/2011 21:00

blueberries - you are very lucky and I am very happy for youSmile

I like a brand new white bra - just occurred to me that you really don't see them much anymore. Can't remember the last time I bought one.

bouncingblueberries · 01/04/2011 21:30

I am a lucky girl. Dh has an excellent sense of style and is very good at buying clothes for me.

Don't good old M&S do a plain White bra?? I have a White bra from Freya, but it does have a little pink ribbon on it I think...let me find some links...

bouncingblueberries · 01/04/2011 21:35

basic White bra from Freya

blossoming · 01/04/2011 22:24

Why does the iPhone capitalize the W in White?
Back, thank goodness. These evenings are only good if you're prepared to get very drunk. Dh had a wine ready for me when I got home. I think I nailed the outfit though!
What a lovely dh bouncing!

OP posts:
blossoming · 01/04/2011 22:34

fritzi, that BR trench is the one I have. I like it so much I'm going to forget about the Burberry. For this year anyway. Maybe for my 50th?

OP posts:
blossoming · 01/04/2011 22:37

Last one from me, honest! bouncing, I really think level 3 shred is much preferable to level 2.
