New thread here!

Oh no, I meant ditto what I had said in my previous post!! Zembo, I'm sure, has has Cinderellaesque dainty tootsie Blush

OllieWollieWoo · 31/03/2011 21:42

Happy Bday Pickled Jr - your planned celebrations sounded lovely. What sort of cake did you do?
Everything - bless you for the compliment! I never thought my teenage spots and wrinkles would overlap but such is life! (And I am SO stocking up on more of that LM tinted moisturiser I wore at MOAMU - if I was Oprah, I would be giving out to the audience as one of my favourite things!!!!!)
Zembo - loved the colour of your Hasbeens and of the Reiss top - v, v nice.

Bloss - that colour of Zembos Reiss top would suit you too I think? Ignore Mango - I refuse to look at their knitwear etc as think I am an XL Shock. Did you manage a double shred - I've left things slip since meet up but will get back on the Jillian wagon next week. My Dad had hernia surgery - and had it in the summer and spent many a happy hour in the garden recovering. He had soreness for a week or so and had to take things v easy but said it was ok on the whole, oh yes and he had to wear surgical stockings for a while too (for serious reasons of course but very funny to see them on!)
Ants hope Dr was helpful with DS? Get yourself (and Apuski) the Cazelet Chronicles books if you like a good period read! I loved them!

Showed DH the Tillie and asked if 1,000euros was too much to spend on a handbag. He gave me one of his looks and said did he really have to answer that! I've got 9 months to change his mind - Operation Get Me A Tillie has begun!

Morning all, and thank you ollie. Dh said, we just think we're invincible, even after what's happened. I think he's a bit shaken up. Maybe he'll work less now(!)
I wanted to do my favourite combination ehich is 6 pack level 1 and Shred level 3. Thing is, I was sweating so much after 6 pack, and it's 35 minutes, I collapsed, and um had a glass of wine!

So much for sunny and warm forecast. It is bucketing it down here.

OP posts:
AntPants1 · 01/04/2011 08:13

ollie thanks for the tip about the cazelet cronicles. I have already read them. They are fab!

everything love the name change. So glad to hear that you are getting on well with ex. Must remove so much stress. As for the future. Who knows. Baby steps. Maybe a period apart is just what you need to get back together or maybe it will help you salvage your friendship so that you can be friendly exs. Whatever you decide hope it all works out.

notyummy · 01/04/2011 09:08

Morning all! Great to hear from you Zembo - don't rush back to work.

Bloss - it sounds you like you earned that glass of wine. I hope to 6W6P next week. Amazon says it has been despatched and we are away this weekend so it should be here on my return. Friday is my 'long run' day. I was up to 10-12 miles, but dodgy hip cut it down. Physio has helped with that so I am now back up to 9 miles and counting.

I would love to engineer a work meeting in London on the 28th and then come and join you all, however I have a long awaiting appointment to have (TMI ALERT) a coil replaced....the clinic round here can't 'get' it because the threads were cut too short, so I have to it removed and replaced at a specialist place further afield. I'm sure that will be loads of fun Hmm

So sorry to hear about all the poorly children. I think we can remove DD from that list thankfully - she has been back at svhool and fine. Fingers crossed all the others improve.

Every - must be a very confusing time for you. I suppose whatever makes you happiest as a family as an individual is the right solution. (Glib to write - less easy to work out!)

OWW - Will be intrigued to hear about what Op Tilly involves Grin.

LTEC - Good to hear from you!

Good morning all Smile.

DS2 had a lovely birthday thanks, complete with a very grown up chocolate cake with white chocolate icing and milk chocolate flakes as per his request (and a few sparklers just for fun).

Bloss, Scarlett Johansson is the face of Mango and I would argue that her figure is even more enviable than Kate Middleton's. Don't be so hard on yourself - you have had 3 children and you have a fab figure.

blossoming · 01/04/2011 09:57

Is it Geneva this weekend notyummy? And the hot tub?
I must have done about 6 weeks of level 2 6P, and during that time I had 2 lots of quite debilitating back ache. I don't know if the 2 are related, but I always did prefer Level 1 anyway, so I am now alternating it with Shred level 3. And very happy with it.

The reason it's worked so well for me, for the past 10 months, is the fact that it's short. The minute I start thinking about doubling up I get very stressed!

Have a lovely day exhausted. Does a trench work with houlihans? Can I ask what size you bought? I have 29 and 30 in J brand, but it looks like the 29 in sharkskin is sold out everywhere. I may get a pair from the states, 230USD, £140 or close. With taxes and shipping, still cheaper I think. Need to get it right though!

Glad you had a good day pickled, and glad the Oushka is a success.

OP posts:
notyummy · 01/04/2011 10:06

No Bloss - Geneva v soon, but not this weekend. Still a few days to think about applying the fake tan before the first potential outdoor bikini wearing of the year!

carciofi · 01/04/2011 10:31

Good morning, all.

Zembo, hope you are ok for going back to work. It is insensitive of me to go on about moses baskets and so on, I'm sorry.

Morag and others who gave advice, thanks, I had a look at that thread. I phoned the school and she is going to do mornings, I think it would be best for her and I can get out and about in the mornings (maybe even to Westfield!).

Bloss, I think we are the same size (well, normally). I bought the Houlihans in a 29 last year and while they fit, I didn't love them, so this time I've bought a 30. I think going private is a good idea, if possible.

Just checked and I have a hospital class on the 28th, it is 11-1 so I won't be able to meet you guys, apologies. I am doing the classes to meet people in the area.

Pickled, the cake sounds delicious.

OWW, maybe you could make a contribution towards the bag and your DH could pay the rest? We often do that.

My dad has just cancelled his visit next week as he is too busy in work to go away. Shame but I am glad his business is picking up as the Irish economy is looking very bleak again.

Just ordered this Maxmara jacket, which I tried on before and liked, instead of the AH Barbour minx, as I would like to buy a Barbour Cameron for the autumn and don't want to be all Barbour! Bloss, what size Cameron did you buy?

carciofi · 01/04/2011 10:32

P.S. Bloss, meant to add that I am usually a 29 in J Brand.

carciofi · 01/04/2011 10:44

Petit, lol at push present, that is what his American boss calls it! Hope your DD is better today.

MarshaBrady · 01/04/2011 10:44

Pickled cake and birthday sounds lovely. Reine I am doing a grown up cake too. A reine de saba, well grown up then very unprofessionally fashioned into a head thing from Star Wars Grin. I like my cakes like my Christmas trees, good stuff in it but au naturel etc Wink

Just spent a small fortune on flowers, daffodils, hydrangea, sun flowers, blossom etc and some vases. Whoops. And very pretty speckled easter eggs etc from the very pretty shops near me.

Not sure if 6 year olds will quite take it in, but I like the look of it!

Back later to read through properly, best crack on!

notyummy · 01/04/2011 12:12

Good luck with the party Marsha.

Just back from the long run and 6W6P was waiting for me....but I'm certainly not doing it now (I'm keen....but not THAT keen!) I have decided that running up looonnnggg hills with a 22 knot wind right in your face is NOT one of favourite hobbies. Much rather be pottering around Zara Grin However that is 1002 calories burned according to Runners World, so I can justify some nice food at the weekend!

blossoming · 01/04/2011 12:27

Well I ran to school today, notyummy, with DS going, Jog mummy, jog. And poor dd bouncing along in her buggy. But not 1000 kcals by a long way! Good for you. I wish I could go running. (My problem is my hair and make-up would need redoing, and I'd need another shower, same with Shred, so I can only excerise first thing in the morning, before showering, or in the evening, when I'm not going out again.

Thanks for that feedback carciofi. I just found a pair in bloomingdales for $184. But when I calculated shipping to myus address, then forwarding, then taxes, and they were only available in a 31 which is too big really. I figured they'd end up costing me £200, and the faff of returning doesn't bear thinking about!

Party sounds fab marsha. Hope it goes well for you.

OP posts:
roary · 01/04/2011 12:35

HI All
Pickled birthday cake sounds delish.

NY there are some pictures of the midi length Carrie skirt here might be just the ticket for you!

Carciofi shame about the 28!! ANd it sounds like a bad day for lots of people (especially NY, ouch!)

Shall we wait till closer to the day and see if anyone can still come? I am going to be in London regardless.

marsha if the 6 y olds don't appreciate party decor they are philistines. Grin

roary · 01/04/2011 12:36

Carciofi just reread your post - I could meet you any time, really, just as long as I am back at Bond St by 2:30.

blossoming · 01/04/2011 14:37

carciofi, I got a 12 in the Barbour. It's quite roomy though. I think zembo said the 8 fitted her. That maxmara is lovely.

OP posts:
carciofi · 01/04/2011 14:50

Roary, I think it may be a little tight for me unfortunately, I have to walk DD over to Fulham as my friend is minding her (she can't come to the course) and then get back here for 11. Really sorry I'll miss you!

Bloss, I definitely wouldn't be an 8! Have you tried shopbop.com for the houlihans? They ship to the UK (very quickly too).

Zembo · 01/04/2011 14:55

Carciofi yes I got the 8 in the Barbour Cameron, fits really well so I'd say it's more or less true to size (unlike my size 4 coats Hmm). Also not insensitive of you to mention your moses basket. It's lovely to hear how you're doing etc...

carciofi · 01/04/2011 15:05

Zembo, thanks :)

Bloss, I am looking for sharkskin houlihans for you on all the US sites I can think of but not having any luck. Nordstrom have them in khaki for £72 in a 29/30/31 though.

notyummy · 01/04/2011 15:13

Thanks for the skirt link Roary.

Am off for a couple of days away now wearing coated Gap skinnies, slouchy grey boots and breton with black trench. Have great weekends all!
