New thread here!

Ooh- that is interesting Every! looking at those colours I would say that I broadly agree and already gravitate in that direction. I do occasionally wear black next to my face because it is so darn practical (my new black tee...) but I am aware it is far from the best colour for me.

Just off to bed now (its 11.45pm here! )- have just finished the signs (cursing my inabiliy to just rattle something off, it needs to be perfect etc), wrapping thank you presents for my Team Alice (helpers), and generally making to do lists. Setting the room up tomorrow morning so will feel a lot happier when thats done.

Exhausted -what lovely photos - you are so pretty (and don't look in the least exhausted - name change time I think Smile!) There are quite a few of us summers on here. Everything - not heard of the light and soft sub division. Will have a read and a think!
Bloss - you are so good at spotting things - I was on the Kew website this afternoon and didnt see your links. Scarf is lovely - may buy for my sister.
MrsJuan lovely to have you back. Your pics on FB looked amazing - esp you! Am now aspiring to look as good in a bikinni and intend to get back on the Jillian wagon! (Would love to have you a special guest at the High Tea - fancy a day trip over on Thursday???!)

Actually, was thinking that maybe the next big meet up should be brunch or an afternoon High Tea somewhere? We could then dress up as ladies who lunch! September/October could work for me????

NanAstley · 05/04/2011 23:05

bloss I have been toying with the idea of the shred, but it sounds so hard. Though I do think Ineed something serious like that to get me back on track. I'm pretty much a size 12 now, but have so many wobbly bits that a lot of my old wardrobe is a no-go-zone without serious supportive underwear Blush
I love the Kew top by the way. I can't wear pure white either, cream always looks better.

I wore coloured jeans when I was a teenager in the 90s. I have a vivid memory of a pair of white jeans that I wore to death, styled with a red blouse and faux fur gilet Shock What on earth was I thinking? The evidence photos have put me off trying the trend this time round. After all if I couldn't pull it off at a size 8, then I won't at size 12-14 and age 33 Grin

notyummy · 06/04/2011 08:09

Nan - it is hard, but only 20 minutes! Come and join the Jillian followers.... (I actually think she is scariest in 6W6P. 'DO NOT STOP!!!!!')

OWW - Sounds like you have put so much effort into this event - I am sure it will be a success.

Well, apparently summer will arrive here today later this morning, so in preparation I am waering the Oasis stripey dress with no tights and wood/leather wedges - plus black linen jacket. The forecast 21 degrees better materialise or I will be chilly! I think I managed to persuade a few people on another thrad yesterday to buy that stripey dress - and the stripey Janice which is in the P8 sale. Some of these shops should be giving us a kic-back ladies Grin.

nanastley, don't be put off! It is life changing!! Start at level one which is totally doable and then move up when you're ready.
I also had my colours done professionally by House of Colour and swear by Ian Marber How not to get Fat. Which reminds me: there's a daily diet book to go with it now. All this has helped get me from a 14 to a 10/12. And I'm not having any more kids so maintaining is the current preoccupation.

Your high tea sounds lovely ollie. Hope it goes well for you after all your hard work.
Wish I was on facebook to see your photos mrsjuan. I can only imagine how gorgeous you look on holiday.
How are things going, fellow colour obsessive, everyspring? will look at your link re colours later.

notyummy, fingers crossed for you. Summer is arriving today, BUT NOT EVERYWHERE!! So I just heard on the news. Bet you it won't reach here!!

Exhausted, you look lovely!

Looking at Everyspring's link, I think I am a soft autumn.

OWW, well done on all the baking and organisation.

Fritzi, I think I will get red jeans, after the baby is born, of course. I'd look like Santa Claus if I wore them now! Really like the pink jeans too but I fear I would look like my 3 yo. Can't wait to get back into real clothes now.

carciofi · 06/04/2011 08:25

Roary, have a good trip home. I love Canada.

notyummy · 06/04/2011 08:28

Carciofi - how much longer now? Another couple of months?

carciofi · 06/04/2011 08:41

9 weeks!

AllBuggiedOut · 06/04/2011 09:23

Morning all - lovely and sunny here - fingers crossed you get your 21 degrees bloss!

Will try that code thanks carciofi. Think I will give this a go while I'm ordering the shorts.

Am very happy with my Milly dress, and have found some nude slingbacks to wear with it. I now need a bag and an outfit for DH. Thinking either funky shirt and dark trousers, or red jeans and navy shirt... But would welcome ideas for bag and earrings for me please!

AllBuggiedOut · 06/04/2011 10:14

Free delivery did work, thanks carciofi Smile

I think I'm convinced. I'll order the 30-day Shred and start on it once I'm back from Spain. Work out all the paella I'm going to consume in industrial quantities Grin

carciofi 9 weeks is nothing! The last stretch was the worst for me. Having said that, dd2 decided to come just under 5 weeks early, so I was spared the waiting around that is the bane of the ninth month Grin

ABO Lovely top, I'm tempted!

The weather here is just gorgeous. I'm waiting for dd2 to wake up and then I'm going to go off shopping walking and cake tea somewhere with outdoor seating. Think I might just stay out till it's time to pick dd1 up from school.

blossoming · 06/04/2011 10:55

Brrr.

Annoyed that the lightweight layering t shirt in white that finally arrived from Wrap today, is cream. Straight back. It's nice in slate though. But I wanted a white one!!

Glad you had a good time annie.

I love the look of those coloured jbrands too, but will probably avoid. Nice pale pink ones on johnnie b.

Ooo ooo, what a lovely day to get out my red Lottas! I've been wearing them indoors at parties or when visiting friends' houses, but today will be its first outing in the sun. Yayy!

Here are the sandals that I saw in Hobbs a couple of weeks ago. They are v pretty in real life!

AllBuggiedOut · 06/04/2011 12:19

Ooh I do love it when the DLH man calls! He's just brought me these in a vanity size US4. Very flattering to the bottom area! Thinking will be good with hasbeens...

And have ordered masses of potential party-wear for DH. I'm particularly optimistic about this shirt.

I'm now waiting for a delivery of 15 Russian dolls from here which will mark the start of my birthday celebrations at tap class this evening. But am slightly nervous they haven't arrived yet...

Welcome to the autumn club carciofi Smile

notyummy · 06/04/2011 12:44

Annie - Glad you had a great time! I would go with the nude shoes. Thanks for the link, but I am going to go for open toed options I think. I have just been looking at TS, Zara and M and S trying to decide which to order!

ABO - Those trousers look great.

OllieWollieWoo · 06/04/2011 12:53

Bloss - have you already ordered the Kew stuff? They have 15% off Spring collection on Thursday only - enter PROMO15 code.

Due to my legendary inability to say no, DS1 has 3, yes 3 friends over for lunch and playdate til 4pm!!! As if I wasn't busy enough with all the High Tea stuff. He's told them all they could come and when I started to say no, only 1, they ALL started crying so I gave in. Sucker Mum me!

Decorated the room for the High Tea this morning - looks pretty good esp the pink flamingos hanging down from the lights! One of the Mums has filled 30 small tin cans from Ikea with red roses and gerberas -they are on the table in rows and will be gifts for the Mums to take away with them - look so cute. Thanks for all your nice words btw - just hope everyone enjoys it! I'll be glad when its over tbh - its taken over real life!

Saw this fashion blog linked to on another thread - quite like it as its mostly High Street. Nice article about coloured jeans here

OllieWollieWoo · 06/04/2011 12:56

ABO those pop cakes look great - hope they arrive! Great trousers too.

NanAstley - don't think i said hello, so hello Smile!
