New thread here!

Right - I have stopped dithering over mid heeled cloggy type footwear and purchased these. I really hope they fit the bill!

blossoming · 06/04/2011 13:15

ollie, I got that email too. Yup, purchased yesterday!

I've just blubbed my way through Biggest Loser from last night. Did you watch it notyummy? I feel quite drained!

OP posts:
OllieWollieWoo · 06/04/2011 13:20

Isn't that always the way Bloss?! The opposite is true for me - I wait around for code and then whatever i want is out of stock!

notyummy · 06/04/2011 13:35

No Bloss - dont tell me! Will watch on sky plus tonight (with a slice of cake Wink)

blossoming · 06/04/2011 13:38

ollie, it's quite rare for Kew to do one I think. Never mind. The luck I'm having right now, it'll go straight back anyway.

Need to pop next door as my mum has got herself into such a state over an email from paypal. She rarely does online shopping and thinks someone has hacked into her credit card account. I don't know if I'll be able to help her, but both of them are getting quite old now, and the slightest thing gets them. Mum was running down the footpath the other day, and stumbled and grabbed onto the barbed wire to stop herself falling. It's a good job we're around I think. They take too much on, and then wonder why they're not coping as well anymore.

Something strange is happening outside. I do believe it's sunshine I'm seeing!

OP posts:
blossoming · 06/04/2011 13:39

You'll enjoy it for sure notyummy. I love your healthy attitude to cake and chocolate!

ABO, the autumn club? I like the J Crew trousers.

Nan, at least you missed the annoying "any news?" texts and calls.

Bloss, hope your mother is ok.

I have put my winter coats and boots in the attic, taken out summer shoes and ordered garden furniture.

OWW, I like the red Oasis jeans in your link.

House of Fraser are trying to track down my jacket which has gone awol!

Cool shoes, NY.

The Crimson, Petal and the White is on tonight, I think.

carciofi · 06/04/2011 14:24

Annie, glad you had a good birthday. I'm jealous of the unlimited babysitting!

So the dress code for tomorrows High Tea is bold, bright and beautiful - the complete opposite of my wardrobe contents!
Have decided on the spodgely Mint Velvet dress as seen here on WIT with grey suede shoeboots. Its about as bold as I go!

There is a 20% off Warehouse code on the Grazia thread GRAZIA20.

NY - nice shoes, I can see you wearing them.
Bloss - hope you were able to re-assure your Mum. My Mum get in a real tizz if arrangments change - completely over-reacts at the slightest change and its getting worse the older she gets. Doesnt help that she plans things far too much in advance - we have a family celebration in December and she is already menu planning! Why?

blossoming · 06/04/2011 15:49

Thanks all. It was a spam email of course. But my parents aren't confident enough on the Internet to spot these things. Glad I could sort it for them.

I am envious of you buying outdoor furniture carciofi. We have nothing. By the time dh agrees in principle it will be the middle of June (and end of our summer!)

pickledsiblings · 06/04/2011 16:29

OWW, I bet you'll look great in that MV dress - wish I was coming to high tea. I do love your life Smile.

Bloss, saw this trench dress and thought of you.

Great links up thread, especially the DM one Wink. Doesn't SJP look fantastic in those red skinnies. If anybody wants some you can buy them at Oasis according to the blog that OWW's linked to. Have you book-marked some for later Carcofi? I have aubergine TS Jamies and that's as coloured as I dare to go on my bottom half.

Fritzi, you would look fab in some red skinnies.

Carcofi, that short trench that you linked to looks amazing in the red, the quality looks fab from the photo. I can't believe you only have 9 weeks to go, how exciting.

Mrs J, so glad you had a blast in Majorca. DD sounds like a sweetie. I bet DH missed you both.

Exhausted, what a winning combination, brown eyes and blonde hair, lucky you Smile.

Annie, belated happy birthday and glad it all went well.

Roary, hope you have a lovely time skiing Envy.

moragbellingham · 06/04/2011 16:39

Exhausted - I would say you're brave to post the pics, but if I looked like that on hols with a baby I would!!
That isn't Padstow and Watergate Bay is it? The railing looked familiarGrinConfused.

Does that mean I am a spring, if ivory suits me better than white then bloss?

moragbellingham · 06/04/2011 16:43

Oh, I like that website everyspring - I think I'm a clearspring, which helps as I love bright shiny things!

blossoming · 06/04/2011 17:22

Definitely spring or autumn then morag. Glad you figured it out!

I hate teatime. With a passion.

Nice Mint Velvet dress, OWW.

Jacket still hasn't arrived from HoF and they are sold out on their website now so I will be very cross if it doesn't turn up, as I got it at 20% off.

Bloss, I ordered the garden set from Robert Dyas so it wasn't too expensive.

Everything, I was thinking of you today too as we finally joined Barnes Wetland Centre.

Pickled, yes, the red J Brands are firmly on the wish list!

LTEC · 06/04/2011 18:53

carciofi my scarf loving friend - what do you think of this?

how lovely to have the sun out. Wore a short breton dress today, bare legs and bejewelled edelman glads, felt half naked but glad to be so Wink

think I clocked a cos discussion elsewhere, just putting my hand up to say I love it and own a fair bit of it. Definitely one to wear with other things, though, much like Ikea furniture - mixed up, fine, all of a kind, a tad odd.

FritziGreenEyes · 06/04/2011 19:04

Argh, I just lost a post as I'm still on my iPhone because laptop is at repair shop.

In short:
exhausted Don't fret about ice-cream, your thighs will forgive you if you make up for it tomorrow.

pickled Red skinnies would definitely cause a stir here. But thanks for compliment anyway!

ollie High tea will be amazing. Wish I could see you flower decoration ... And taste the scones of course!

carciofi · 06/04/2011 19:08

LTEC, gorgeous scarf!

bouncingblueberries · 06/04/2011 20:10

Haven't caught up properly yet but just ducking in to wave hello!

Thanks for thinking of me bloss, have survived the first 2 days of work so far and only 1 more to go until the weekend. Totally exhausted though and think ds2 has been giving our lovely nanny a tough time, but it will all settle down soon I'm sure. A few people have been a bit Hmm at me expressing milk at work, but hey ho, that's their problem.

Had a quick scout round Zara and Anthropologie today but nothing jumped out really. Did spot some nice chinos in Zara but no time to try on.

Right, will go catch up with all your lovely links now

redllamayellowllama · 06/04/2011 20:18

OWW tomorrow sounds absolutely fantastic, hope everything goes well! I too would so love to be there.

Exhausted I agree that you need to name change, there's nothing exhausted-looking about you. Very pretty indeed.

Glad you had a lovely holiday MrsJ.

Also enjoying the Oasis red skinnies, I've got two pairs of white skinnies which don't get much wear, so am going to be wise and dye one pair red. Must get round to doing do.

We went to see Submarine at the flicks last night, was excellent - quite whimsical and beautifully shot, although I did fall asleep at several moments throughout Blush.

I spent all of today in the park, bar a Monkey Music session for DS. It was glorious and both DCs were loving being out and about - I'm a much better mother when not in the house I think.

wideawakenurse · 06/04/2011 20:34

Ok, have name changed.

You can all call me "wide" for short. wink

AllBuggiedOut · 06/04/2011 21:03

I just meant the colour season carciofi. I am autumn, so is Roary, so is Everything. Lots more on here I'm sure.

wide I rather fancied oww's apple clutch with the Milly, but was told no... Grin. Bag just needs to be small and cute, and I think bring a splash of colour/bling/something to the dress. I am not good at spending lots of money on bags, so was thinking cheap and cheerful unless it was something that would work for lots of other occasions.
