Thank you for the lovely warm welcome ladies, it was like walking into an online but infinitely more stylish version of the Cheers bar!
Soooo, my purchases today:
www.my-wardrobe.com/barbour/duralin-brigade-jacket-716292 The Barbour Brigade jacket]] which is cut for BOOBS! Hurrah! Sorry about the shouting but it is cause for celebration at Chez Ooooh. And it does look rather leather like, so kinda ticks that box too.
I did today also have a squizz at the Reiss leather jackets which are really lovely - I think Annie recommended them? But they were all hooked up to alarms and I had just bought the Barbour, so didn't investigate properly.
Also, this Anthropologie parka came home with me too. It's very soft, fluid and light, and drapes beautifully. I didn't really mean to buy it - was trying it for fun - but it took me by surprise.
And thinking ahead to summer I picked up these mummy-tummy-loving shorts. Reeeeally flattering if you have a squidgy bit.
Finally, a virtual twirl from last year. This is the trench I optimistically bought a few months post-DS when I was far too big for it but I could spot a good cut, and I am so glad I took the risk. Am now complimented on it the whole time.
Exhaustednurse I thought about trying the Whistles dress you linked to - it would be perfect with the cardie - but I'm 5ft1 with a tummy (especially over the last few weeks of increased Malteser consumption) and I knew I'd be getting into 1980s mum territory. Shame as the concept is perfect. Am slightly worried now that the cardie is going to become the pretty and expensive elephant in the wardrobe, am yet to find something which really goes with it.
I'm also with you on Cos - I have been in there several times and never found anything I want to try on, let alone buy. I think I need to be a foot taller and a stone lighter to suit their stuff.
Annie I really liked the blue People Tree dress you linked to. . I am now craving chilli with garlic bread - yum!
Red - happy anniversary for tomorrow! Lots of exciting things happening with you at the moment and I am loving the sound of the Cape Town capsule wardrobe. You are teeny tiny, though, I bet you could carry off a bikini with aplomb? I have no know-how, unfortunately; I am totally in love with my Lands End hold-everything-in cossies.
I have been wearing the Uniqlo combats to death too. I'll be interested to see what you think of the Houlihans, they were less flattering on my thighs than their bargainous equivalents. That said I saw someone in proper Houlihans today and she looked great.
And I'm sure that NY will agree that of course you will need 5 pairs of shoes at the very least...
Loving the LKB jacket, Carciofi.
My battery is dying and this is turning into such mammoth post that you will be delighted to hear won't mind too much if I sign off now.
Lovely to be back, ladies.
