not the pink though, they could never look cool. also if cool woman is wearing them and old lady next to her at bus stop is also wearing htem is the cool factor negated or does old lady become briefly cool too?

DuplicitousBitch · 28/03/2011 11:53

KenDoddsDadsDog · 28/03/2011 12:04

MikeRotch · 28/03/2011 12:06

i quite like teh shirt... strange coour htough

irregularegular · 28/03/2011 12:09

oooh, coincidence! i was just looking at those online today in a search for comfortable sandals. I couldn't decide whether they were stylishly retro or just plain frumpy!

Feeling somewhat encouraged now and may have to get them for my holiday next week.

TigerFeet · 28/03/2011 12:18

I don't think you should be allowed to wear them unless you buy yourself a pair of t-bar buckle up startrites for winter.

DuplicitousBitch · 28/03/2011 12:20

how come adults get to wear sensible supportive shoes and my dd (7) gets offered streetworker boots when i take her shoe shopping?

TigerFeet · 28/03/2011 12:22

Agree DuplicitousBitch

I'd love a pair each for the dd's (I might even allow dd1 to choose the pink)

I couldn't possibly pull it off myself though, to old/uncool/fat which is why I am going to ridicule them

messylittlemonkey · 28/03/2011 12:30

for those of you who don't like/get them, do you also dislike Birkenstocks? Just wondering!

OP posts:
DuplicitousBitch · 28/03/2011 12:36

i like some Birkenstocks

Northumberlandlass · 28/03/2011 12:44

Ah.... Jesus Sandals !

Knee length socks....cloth kits dress (remember them?) and my jesus sandals...don't think I could get away with them now though.

I love my Birkenstocks. Have some new silver ones for this year. First pedicure of season booked for Thursday. Just in time for next week when it is going to be up to 23 degrees here. Yay!

marriednotdead · 28/03/2011 13:31

Am way too old to appreciate the Retro-ness of those Grin

And yes, Birkies are the only thing I can wear fine.

MooMooFarm · 28/03/2011 13:47

btw are Scholls just as bad? I have them in a couple of different colours (the ones with a higher heel) Blush

VivaLeBeaver · 28/03/2011 13:57

My mum has 2 pairs, she's 67.

MooMooFarm · 28/03/2011 13:58

oh Blush Blush

VivaLeBeaver · 28/03/2011 13:59

Sorry I meant she has 2 pairs of THE cLARK'S THAT the OP linked to. But I don't think Scholl are a good look either.
