Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
mrsjuan · 18/03/2011 17:10

I was going to rebel in my pyjama choice LTEC Grin

LTEC · 18/03/2011 17:12
Emo76 · 18/03/2011 17:18

I had a panic dash to the shops today ahead of the MOAMU and came home EMPTY HANDED. I even tried on a leopard print maxi in Debenhams out of desperation, but looked bldy awful. Confused Aaaagh I have loads of clothes, many which would be suitable for a smart night out. I am feeling the pressure. LTEC don't tempt me!

Olly does a full edam count as a bag? Could you roll it on to the plane?

MarshaBrady · 18/03/2011 17:19

Roary I hope you can make it. Give your dh a list.

I dare you MrsJ Wink

mrsjuan · 18/03/2011 17:25

Alas, although my sister is the lucky owner of such a garment, I am not Sad
Don't panic Emo

carciofi · 18/03/2011 17:43

Emo, why don't you wear the red dress you wore to the industry do? You looked great in that photo.

Bloss, lovely top.

Everything, that is very cheeky of the eBay seller. My pink trench has had a stay of execution as I noticed a couple of small stains (chocolate, I think Blush) and I've decided I love the colour. Found some other things to sell.

Looby, wow, how old was your DD at the time? I think my friend will be on stand by and take DD. I am seeing her on Monday and going to ask her if she really wouldn't mind. It is such a shame that my brother and his wife have left London.

Just ordered this dress for the baby for next winter, so cute.

LTEC · 18/03/2011 17:54

amazing sunset!!! bodes well for weather tomorrow, no?

OllieWollieWoo · 18/03/2011 18:10

Got it - we should all swap coats! Between us we must have the right colours/sizes for all our dresses!

Off to a bag/jewellery swap party now - I don't have high hopes tho!

notyummy · 18/03/2011 18:15

BBC weather forecast for London weather tomorrow is good!

blossoming · 18/03/2011 18:20

carciofi, that is gorgeous!! Lucky baby.

Quite pleased with my packing. Then realised I haven't thought about toiletries, make up, straighteners..aargh!
Iphone charger.
Book.
Cuddly toy....Wink.

AntPants1 · 18/03/2011 19:11

Just wanted to say I hope you all have a wonderful time. Perhaps I could come to the next one!

MarshaBrady · 18/03/2011 19:49

Of course you can Ants! Smile

A package with stickers and hand puppet thing arrived from PIL and since I've had a g&t said to dh 'I feel bad about lack of visits, quick book the visit for Sunday before I change my mind'. That's the only way I can do it. Like a plaster rip it off, without thinking Wink

Besides am really looking forward to tomorrow night so should make up for Sunday!

Emo76 · 18/03/2011 19:56

carciofi that's a possibility, but it's a bit summery, and dressed up with black opaques and shoes it looks wrong. nude accessories worked for a black tie do but not sure they would for a trendy bar evening! hmmm. BTW that baby dress is gorgeous - and I have a baby girl who'd look rather sweet in it....

re MOAMU I am relieved to see there will be plenty of sitting down opportunities so high heels are a distinct possibility. perhaps if my outfit looks awful and my hair frizzes on the way over I could pretend to be someone else, a late joiner with a different username!

Is there going to be an announcer as each person joins? ..."and here, looking slightly frazzled and a bit bigger than we thought she'd be in real life, is Emo, not exactly cutting edge but brandishing what appears to be a bottle of champagne, the key accessory this spring.." Grin

happy packing MOAMU ladies, ants I'd love to meet you one day, can't remember if you're a Londoner but if you are PM me and we can have a mini meetup sometime.

CHOOGIRL · 18/03/2011 20:13

Ok - so after my mammoth shopping spree last weekend - no one is going to believe me when I say I don't have a thing to wear Blush

pickledsiblings · 18/03/2011 20:42

Evening all.

Marsha, DH has taken the DC to ILs for the w/e.

MrsJ, I'm bringing the famous Warehouse scarf to wear if it is cold on Sat night, are you wearing yours then? I'm now thinking my black maxi and Michael Jackson jacket is way over the top. Hopefully seeing as I'm a very small fry the impact will be much less Grin (need the jacket as hides arms but will take off when I'm having too much fun to care).

I'm wearing H&M fine knit broad striped breton on Sun.

Lunch ladies, I should be easily recognised by my small stature BR yellow bag.

I bought a gorgeous little Benefit kit today called Finding Mr Bright Hmm.

loobylu3 · 18/03/2011 21:00

DD1 was only 2 1/2 yrs old! She was quite grown up for her young age though. I think the option of your friend looking after your DD is far preferable! :)

MrsCampbellBlack · 18/03/2011 21:11

Choo - how about Bec or Donna?

Carciofi - DH ended up looking after DS1 when I had DS2 as he was early and it was Boxing Day.

But I had a c-section so slightly different I think.

KILDARE4 · 18/03/2011 21:21

OWW Love that idea of swopping coats - infact we should have organized a mass clothing swopathon amongst ourselves!Grin

CHOOGIRL · 18/03/2011 21:24

MrsCBam leaning towards Donna with HoH platforms or sparkly Choos?

blossoming · 18/03/2011 21:31

You have to wear choos choo!
I may wear Bec after all! New wine induced indecision!

Crap! My lovely orange handbag wont fit into my case which means I will have to dig out my (whispers) Radley across the the body one which will fit - but will now have to wear brown boots instead of black ones which then means a total outfit re-think! Gah! And on top of all that - still very confused about which coat to bring!

Bag and jewellery swap was nice but hardly anyone swapped stuff so basically a lot of ladies sitting around talking!

I really need to go to bed now as up at 6am.

OllieWollieWoo · 18/03/2011 21:59

Everything - I say dark purple to go with your lovley dress.

Fleecy · 18/03/2011 22:03

Night OWW

everything I like both - not much help but then you've probably started painting them now anyway and whichever one I said would be the one you hadn't chosen!

ny are we going to sneak off and find a bar showing BBC4 from 9-11 tomorrow night? Wink
