I wear wellies in Paris. Smart women wear them in NY too.

bellavita · 23/02/2011 11:39

Maybe you need to get a new image then?

TrillianAstra · 23/02/2011 11:39

I have mahoosive calves, if I lose any weight I get smaller boobs and skinny arms but still can't fit into normal-width boots.

MmeLindt · 23/02/2011 11:39

Trills, you have mumboots? I don't believe you. Bin them this minute. I am old enough to be your mum and even I don't possess a pair.

Rannaldini · 23/02/2011 11:40

change your jewellery
at least sometimes
ditto clean

MmeLindt · 23/02/2011 11:41

Cod
I was soundly berated for trading up my engagement ring last year. Still glad I did it though.

Bonsoir · 23/02/2011 11:41

Maybe you province-dwellers don't know this, but it does sometimes rain in cities too Smile. Wellies save your other footwear from getting ruined, especially in a life where you are on foot rather than in a car and your footwear gets very heavy wear and needs to be fashionable and expensive.

HTH

FluffyMummy123 · 23/02/2011 11:41

FluffyMummy123 · 23/02/2011 11:41

TrillianAstra · 23/02/2011 11:41

When I was at univesity we all wore them with long jeans over for going out. Seriously. Girls in strappy sandals and skirts were tarts.

ImeldaSnowboots · 23/02/2011 11:42

Well, I have definately crept towards 'mumsiness' from my studenty days but will never be called 'flat-bum', not with my j-lo style bum Grin

Bonsoir · 23/02/2011 11:42

I have green and silver Hunters. That I after every sortie Smile, before putting them back in my coat cupboard.

FluffyMummy123 · 23/02/2011 11:42

OP posts:
MmeLindt · 23/02/2011 11:43

My mum bought me a short sleeved denim jacket.

Why would anyone wear that?

Which brings us to: Top to toe denim.
