I have been looking for a tan shoulder bag big enough to hold my A4 work folder and around £100 for about 35 years. Have started many threads on the subject.

Is this it?

They have one in my local branch so am going to check it out tomorrow...

...Is it shit? Am I suffering from nice bag blindness? 49cms will fit an A4 folder, right? Is it the best bag ever? Or just ok? Too many questions?

Looks a bit stiff and formal and the sort of bag that wears you rather than you wearing it. The sort of bag you notice first, before you notice the person carrying it.

On the plus side, I think with a trench coat and boots/heels you could look incredibly chic, like one of Sarkozy's ministers.

In other words, I think I like it.

I heart those Scaramanga satchels though, so probably have v different taste to you.

Dont know if these'll be to your taste, but some ok bags in debenhams atm. Red Herrring not my usual cup of tea but some nice satchels on this page

I hate satchels. Hate them. Sorry Queefer. mama, your link takes me to the Debehams homepage but it's frozen so I can't see what you mean. Although if it's a satchel, I'll probably leave it Wink Thanks all for looking.

The clarks one is indeed too satchelly. The ebay one won't fit on my shoulder, but keep your eyes peeled for that vintage gem...

Queefer, I do not like that bag at all- but it's ok because CowardlyLion loves it.

I'm closer to getting the bag- seems like the only alternatives are Peony and Moore slouchy monstrosities Grin

Kurri, I search ebay everyday and buy more shit I don't need but they never have any nice, vintage, shoulder, tan leather bags.

Unfortunately, I do not like those bags. Second one would be actually ok if it didn't have that big zippy pocket on the front though...
