Mine...
Bourjois bio detox foundation. One of the worst i've ever tried. Patchy, blotchy, horrid texture, impossible to blend.
Also..MAC's Newly Minted matte eyeshadow. What a disappointment! The colour is gorgeous. I chose matte finish as have quite oily lids and thought it would therefore have better staying power. I used with their Painterly base and it still wouldn't stay put! It creased terribly within half an hour.
Has anyone else found this re Mac eyeshadows? Am i applying wrong? Used a sponge applicator.

st tropez looks crap on me

lololizzy · 01/02/2011 13:53

ullainga, i found that too...i have good albeit sensitive skin but pores turned into the surface of the moon. And looked shiny and tangoed..even with so called natural colour. Having said that..has anyone tried the matte version? (the foundation powder, that is).

myabelline great lash, makes my eyelashes spidery :(

Gogopops · 01/02/2011 14:05

OMG monkeys how expensive for a hair product.
Big waste of money for me recently was a Clinique mascara which has the very thin green wand brush - it keeps getting rave reviews but did nothing for me.
YSL touche eclat - gives me a rash and the brush gets smelly after a few uses!
Also an expensive liquid liner from Estee Lauder - mind you I can never get the hang of using a liquid eye liner so don't know why an expensive one would have been any different to the cheapies.

sweetheart · 01/02/2011 14:08

I got the babyliss root booster crimper thing for xmas and it's utter crap on my hair. Yes ok I admit it does give you root lift and it does last BUT my hair is very thin and flat and therefore you can see the crinkled ridges in the underneath of your hair - not a good look!

I have to say I love Benetint, I use it every day without fail!

lololizzy · 01/02/2011 14:10

ah the Babyliss was next on my list. Perhaps i'll rethink that then! (very fine hair too). might look like have padded out my crown with crinkle cut oven readys.

touche eclat is useless if you have proper dark circles..sooo watery.

Bobby Brown concealer paintbrush thing (like touche eclat)

very expensive for what it is, small amount and no better than a clinique freebie I got

sweetheart · 01/02/2011 14:23

lolo - don't consider buying "bumpits" either - they are another think I have brought in the persuit of volumised hair that didn't work! i am trying out the big hair thing at the moment and whilst it does add volume it doesn't really seem to last!

flippineck · 01/02/2011 14:28

Benefit You Rebel tinted moisturiser just made me look streaky and orange. But I love Bad Gal Plum!

I had a Mac mascara once that I'm sure must have ben empty - it made absolutely no difference whatsoever.

IngridFletcher · 01/02/2011 14:36

What is good for dark under eye circles?

bacon · 01/02/2011 14:59

Most of the no 7 products, in particular the mascaras and foundations. Just shit.

What?? you kidding me its probably made by some top manufacturer. I have sensitive eyes and in late 30's and the foundations look amazing on me....even my beautician friend always compliments my makeup. Mascara I'm wearing today looks fresh and hasnt irritated me all all.

Goes to prove that fancy packaging and advertising pays but the products arent any better for the absolute rip off prices. Sure that some blind testing would prove this.

Ive got the by Terry concealer and to be frank its not worth the nearly £40 price tag - feel really gutted that I spent this much. Now Ive found what looks good I'm sourcing on E-bay for half the price.

Pretty shocking how much we can justify spending on makeup...how priorities have changed. Mine are deff avoid any glossy packaging.

Gillybobs · 01/02/2011 15:07

Ingrid - L'oreal Touche Magique is v good for under eye circles, about £7 for it. Better then Touche Eclat by miles imo

HollyBollyBooBoo · 01/02/2011 15:26

MAC foundation - horrid, showed up every flaw and was so the wrong colour, despite paying £25 for a make-up lesson where she used all the products.

Touche eclat, again just seems to highlight flaws.

Elemental · 01/02/2011 15:39

Bad Gal eyeliner is also rubbish, It seeped all down under my eyes. Am sticking to Urban Decay.

valiumredhead · 01/02/2011 15:44

Badgal mascara is the worst ever! I have to disagree about No7 as the water proof one is fab.

FluffyMummy123 · 01/02/2011 15:48

touche eclat is shit

FluffyMummy123 · 01/02/2011 15:49

FluffyMummy123 · 01/02/2011 15:50

FluffyMummy123 · 01/02/2011 15:50

coldtits · 01/02/2011 15:50

beauty flash balm - sticky and strange. No perceivable difference to my appearance.

FluffyMummy123 · 01/02/2011 15:50

nars orgasm blush

sweetheart · 01/02/2011 15:52

I wear the No7 waterproof mascara every day and think it's great

MayorNaze · 01/02/2011 15:52

i like purple eyeliner

suits my colouring a treat, just makes my eyes look nice and defined but not like i have conjunctivitis

we really should have some sort of swap thread...

ENormaSnob · 01/02/2011 15:57

I have tried a fair few products of no 7 and found them utter shit.

Glad it's better for you.
