Our BHS has started selling Wallis stuff. My pal got a nice bag from there a while back.

tethersend · 27/01/2011 14:05

If you spend long enough in debenhams you can usually find something OK.

Best. slogan. ever. Grin

FooffyShmoofer · 27/01/2011 14:07

Ooh icod that's cheating.

C'mon 'fess up!!

Heathcliffscathy · 27/01/2011 14:07

yes of course we have it's how we know how shit it is shopping in there.

the last thing i bought in debenhams was a freya bra in the [jumble] sale. it was a bargain. but there was no satisfaction as the shopping experience was so awful

do you think any debenhams bods are listening? make yourselves over fgs. through all of your current brands out and get some interesting ones in. invest in some staff training and recruit and pay better.

they have some of the best retail space in the UK and it is WASTED.

sort it out debbers. now.

Heathcliffscathy · 27/01/2011 14:08

throw not through obv.

FluffyMummy123 · 27/01/2011 14:10

"Yes. Ours always makes me feel a bit panicky, like if there was a fire I would definitely be toast."

hahahah midnight, before i even saw your name i knew this was our one. what's the clinique offer btw?

DuplicitousBitch · 27/01/2011 14:11

i used to work in stirling, it was the only shop in town - i hated it but was strangely drawn at lunch times.

Aitch · 27/01/2011 14:11

the only thing i have bought there in the last fifteen years were a brabantia bin (gift tokens) and a sports bra (not the one i wanted, but close).

FooffyShmoofer · 27/01/2011 14:11

Well you can wander round it in a complete circle without purchase to see it's lacking.

Things bought there are usually desperation buys at 5.25 pm. Well for me anyway.

midnightexpress · 27/01/2011 14:11

You take in an old mascara and they give you a free one - but it's only small trial size. But still, I just fished out an ancient mouldy one and handed it over.

Aitch · 27/01/2011 14:12

i was slightly put off using that twitter account, cod, after i realised i was being followed by our stalkery pal.
now @blwdotcom. please follow me, anyone who isn't wearing primark.

FindingStuffToChuckOut · 27/01/2011 14:13

I've always quite liked Debenhams - brought lots of nice clothes there, great prices. But I've only ever been to Oxford St & Westfield ones, both of which are perfectly OK. Never had a problem returning stuff, service no worse than that I've encountered elsewhere on the high st.

Aitch · 27/01/2011 14:13

(nothing against primark, bien sur. somehow a more pleasant shopping exp than debs)

FooffyShmoofer · 27/01/2011 14:13

Another slogan could be " It's an ok place for random shit" but then again so is Home Bargains.

DuplicitousBitch · 27/01/2011 14:13

i bought me dd a sylvanian caravan there for £18 so its not all bad

DuplicitousBitch · 27/01/2011 14:14

why didni't me work?

FooffyShmoofer · 27/01/2011 14:15

Primark makes me want cry. I am sure some of the clothes are just fine but the whole jumble sale mentality of it gives me a panic attack.

FluffyMummy123 · 27/01/2011 14:16

lol at debenhams slogans

tethersend · 27/01/2011 14:17

I am confused by your broken strikeouts too, DB...

me

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 27/01/2011 14:17

We have a shiny new one. It's meant to be the flagship store in our new shopping development. It's shite.

And I've said it before but anything with "designer" on the label most certainly is not.

tethersend · 27/01/2011 14:17

are strikeouts broken?

tethersend · 27/01/2011 14:17

eh?
