Funny you should say that bonsoir: I conceived DS when working full time, and when DH worked away during the week! Then when I stopped working and lived full time with dh, I conceived 2 girls!

I wanted to buy a normal fit cardigan to wear over bretons for teaching, and I ordered the Boden 'favourite' crew neck in fuchsia, as it's a great colour with bretons, and a wow colour on me. Completely ruined by ridiculous cream buttons. Shall I keep, and replace the buttons when I'm in JL on Saturday? I think fuchsia cardigans are hard to find. I will be happy to be contradicted. Also anyone ever seen a raspberry cardigan..?!

Good luck ltec, not that I think you need it.

And GOOD LUCK notyummy. Hope you get it, if it's what you want!

fritzi, sorry you had a row with your DH. Horrible things. (Rows, not DHs).

hellsbelles · 24/01/2011 13:23

Zembo ? hope you are waking up to less pain and ready to get an ultrasound so they can get to the bottom of this.

Tracey ? so glad you are feeling better. Did you cut out the dairy stuff in the end? Do you think that is what made the difference?

NY ? good luck!!

Reine ? wow ? DD would have cried tears of joy at that cake.

Roman Grin I agree that camel toe constitutes a major emergency.

Fritzi ? so sorry?I do hope you get some time to talk it out with him later. I agree that stress does terrible things (no excuse for him being horrible though)

LTEC ? I?m ignoring mention of more attack phase. Please take care of the gorgeous body of yours. No more said on tha.

But for added glow it might be worth adding a couple of face exfoliation/masks to your weeks? prep. It really does brighten things up (on me anyway!)

Dolcee ? I do like Bonsoir?s cure ? hope youj get a chance to do some of that.

Mrsj ? how old is DD? Sounds very like my DD (who just hit 2)?I just nod at all these ?unusual? but heartfelt statements.

No A&W news here?just tired and looking old.

It's with relief that I've sorted out party bags for DS?s party (so tricky when they are older) and got a big tidy up done (which I hate doing). DD is being hilarious at the moment. She has taken to ?dancin? ,as she calls it, at every opportunity. She gets most disgruntled if I am not willing to drop all my shopping bags and dance in the middle of shop. Though I had to today?in the manner of a teenager shuffling so as not to draw attention to myself (she meanwhile, twirled, jumped and skipped!)

macmama · 24/01/2011 13:25

haha hells sounds like all our DCs are having a cuteness competition...

traceybath · 24/01/2011 13:26

Goold luck NY!

Fritzi - hope things resolve themselves quickly with your DH.

Slightly sad morning here really. Took DS1 into school and thanks he's a lot better if still not quite 100%.

Anyway his best friend bounded up to him and started telling him what a fab time he'd had at the party that DS wasn't invited to. Now DS was ok with the fact he wasn't invited when he thought his best mate hadn't been invited either however I saw his little face fall but he quickly recovered. Unlike me who went back to my car and cried Sad

Am going to have a word with the teacher tonight just to check that DS has been ok and also to try and make sure he's not having a ny big probelms with friends as am really at a loss as to why someone would deliberately exclude one child from a party especially when said child is not partiularly naughty/unpopular or anything.

carciofi · 24/01/2011 13:29

Hi all.

LTEC, the plan sounds good though you're beautiful already.

Fritzi, sorry about the argument, I am sure the things were said were not meant.

Best of luck at the interview, NY. Your weekend sounds great.

I went to Westfield to return sandals I bought for my brother's wedding but couldn't resist exchanging them for a lovely pair of camel and black ballet flats.

Oh Tracey, your poor ds.

MarshaBrady · 24/01/2011 13:31

TraceyB that is heart-wrenching Sad. I hope the teacher can shed some light on what is going on and mend it.

mrsjuan · 24/01/2011 13:35

Fritzi Sad hope he apologises and makes it up to you later - I'm sure he didn't mean to say the things he did.

Mac Thanks for fever link - anything there for you everything? A couple of the dresses reminded me of that stripy skirt you linked to Wink

Hells DD will be 2 in May. Sounds like she would get on well with your DD -she loves dancing too and has taken to walking around the house clutching a digital radio like an 80s teenager with a boom box. Her dancing mainly involves spinning around until she falls over though Grin

Oh Tracey - how sad for your DS. What a brave little soul he is though to hide his disappointment so well. Hope you can get to the bottom of it.

DolceeBanana · 24/01/2011 13:38

Oh Tracey...poor you! Really feel for you. Hopefully a quiet word with the Teacher will put your mind at rest. I think that the problem might be that some people just do not think. It was most probably an oversight of the parents as they are clearly not as thoughtful or organised as you. Keep your chin up. Smile

Carciofi - the flats sound lovely!

OP posts:
carciofi · 24/01/2011 13:39

DD is wearing them now. :)

MrsJuan, your DD sounds very funny.

macmama · 24/01/2011 13:39

Oh tracey your poor DS and poor you. Yes definitely you need to speak to someone ? I bet they don?t even know that he wasn?t invited and that this has happened, its your job to bring it to their attention and make sure it doesn?t happen again, I would book a meeting with the teacher asap or even hang around this afternoon after school pick up.

OllieWollieWoo · 24/01/2011 13:40

Bloss saw from another thread that Kew has a raspberry cardigan but quite dark and long here

They also have a short pink one: too pink?

And Fat Face has this one here

OllieWollieWoo · 24/01/2011 13:44

Tracey how sad for you and DS1. Hope the teacher can reassure you later.

blossoming · 24/01/2011 13:51

Thankyou everything, and ollie. It's quite a hard colour to find. I've stopped looking at Kew as their colours seem very 'dusky' for a Winter! Although I do like their city parka! In navy, natch.
The Pure one is a great colour, and I love the sapphire too, but 3/4 sleeve is no good, as it's still winter here! But thanks anyway.

Glad you found something carciofi. I think you London girls have a duty to buy when you're in Westfield! Think of us poor souls looking out across fields of sheep!

tracey, I'm so sorry to hear about the party. I think a word with the teacher would be wise.

hellsbelles · 24/01/2011 13:53

Tracey - that really is shocking. I do hope you and the teacher get to the bottom of it. So sorry.

MrsJ - yes - sounds like they should get together...they could twirl round together for hours (while we sip cappuccino and do A&W type things - though only before 10.30am Roma Wink)

bunnymother · 24/01/2011 13:54

Oh Fritzi so sorry DH hurt you w nasty comments. Once they are said, they can't be retracted and the sharper ones just reverberate in your mind, don't they?! I hope he has some lovely words for you that will act as a balm.

Zembo - haven't read the whole thread, so hoping that when I get to the end I will see that you are at Dr or A&E - am quite worried about you. You sound to be v stoic, so your body is setting off alarm bells for you, I think.

Cakey - excellent regime you have planned - think you have addressed all anti-beauty issues. Oats w rice milk and split screen DC lap top entertainment - are we the same person?? I drink close to 1L of rice milk per day.

Loving all the v witty comments you Wise Ladies post - this thread really does make me smile. Even comments about shouty, cross mummies! Prob because can relate...

Right, should I Dukan? I am thinking yes as am not breast feeding. Will Google what to do. And Groupon have an excellent pilates offer at local yoga studio, which am going to buy (and proceed w CAUTION due to ab situation). I have a spare tyre the size of a tractor tyre, and its not all due to separated abs!!

Also, tried striped Janice in a 10 - size fits and draping is v flattering, but colours are all wrong, and I do like a shorter dress (am a complete tart). SO now in 2 minds about navy Janice.

Have been v W&A - Wise as getting John Lewis to price match new buggy, but Avid as it still comes to £730 Shock. And you KNOW I don't exactly throw money away DH doesn't even want to talk about it

carciofi · 24/01/2011 13:58

Blossoming, yes, I was taking one for the team! If you like the Boden cardigan, keep it and change the buttons.

Bunny, I am sure you'll sell the Phil and Teds no problem. I want to buy one but not for a few months or I'd make you a good offer!

LetThemEatCake · 24/01/2011 13:59

oh tracey, hope ds is okay Sad

I'm not entering the cute kids contest since I'm quietly certain that mine take the 'cake' so to speak Grin

feels like I am on holiday this afternoon. Friend with twins (boy & girl) has taken the girls to hers, and I have the boys. OMG!! Boys are so low maintenance re: play! Incredible. They are dressed up, no arguments over the flippin' Snow White dress and are busily throwing cars at each other. Heaven!

hells and plum and other beauty afficionados (Sp??) - what exfoliator do you recommend? and also hells what's that product you use to get that goregous glow you have - is it mercier or something?

constant peeing is serving as reminder as to why my H2O intake is usually so rubbish. Hmm

loobylu3 · 24/01/2011 14:04

NY- good luck with your interview. The outfit sounds great!

fritzi- sorry to hear about your row with your DH. I'm sure he's feeling bad too.
I think most couples clash when stressed. We certainly do and like NY- I am probably worse than my DH but calm down quickly whereas he is better at sulking!

mrsj- how old is your DD?
I remember my DD1 being highly embarrassing as a 2 yr old.
The very worst things she said was when I had my 6 wk postnatal check with DS (she was a little over 2 1/2). The GP was asking me various routine q's as she kept chipping in/ bouncing up and down so I had to ask her to be quiet and said something like 'be quiet for a minute because mummy needs to talk to the lady doctor'.
She said 'no mummy, it's a MAN'
I said 'no M, it's a lady with short hair'
'No mummy, it's a man, look!'
I really wished the earth could have swallowed me up at that point!
She did have a point actually. The Dr did look rather like a man (boyish hair cut, glasses, v unfeminine clothes, serious manner)!

red- I know exactly what you mean about feeling like a drudge. I felt like that whilst on mat leave at times and now on the days I am not working. I hate housework- it is endless and so unrewarding.

carciofi · 24/01/2011 14:04

LTEC, I think this Aveda exfoliator is good.

traceybath · 24/01/2011 14:09

Oh thanks ladies - hysterically who did I bump into in coffee shop this morning but said mother - honestly the penalties of small town life.

Anyway on the brighter side - our survey went well and mortgage offer now arrived so just chasing solicitors for an exchange date.

MrsJ - your daughtehr's speech is amazing for sucha little girl! And loving the idea of Hells dancing in the middle of the shop Grin

I too need to sell my phil and teds vibe as never use it now and in fact was a massive waste of money as DD preferred the sling anyway.

DolceeBanana · 24/01/2011 14:12

Cake - I'm not sure whether that's a girl thing or a first born thing Hmm . Re the snow white dress.
