LIke those boots reine

My sister got her dress made by a friend of mine. However AManda Wakeley seems to specialise in that style

traceybath · 21/01/2011 14:16

Afternoon.

Still ill and ds1 still coughing a lot but has gone to school - brave boy Smile

PTA meeting this morning - not sure why I bothered going as had to take DD and honestly considering its for friends/parents of a prep school you'd think they could make it ever so slightly child-friendly wouldn't you?

Anyway DH commented although I may feel awful I looked good Grin Am wearing denim mini, black opaques, belstaff ankle boots (god how I love them), sonia rykiel stripey top and ahem my new bloss/pure jacket Blush

Will catch up now.

ReineDeSaba · 21/01/2011 14:17

Thanks mac I will point her in AW's direction as that is very much the style she's after.

think the boots you like are zembo's which I like too..don't know if it's the higher heel than yesterday's link.great price too!

macmama · 21/01/2011 14:18

Yes sorry reine they are zembos link - thats what I get for multi tasking!

Romanholiday · 21/01/2011 14:20

Thanks for boot link Zembo have bought to replace Prada sport wedge boots that I wore to death. Great price. Will be perfect with my Love Story jeans.

Zembo · 21/01/2011 14:24

Glad you got them too, they do look very Pradaish don't they. Like a dodo, I forgot to use a £20 gift certificate I've had for ages and My-Wardrobe won't accept it retrospectively on an order. Never mind will just have to buy something else in the next few weeks!!

Romanholiday · 21/01/2011 14:31

I also hope they'll be good with Rats. I bought Prada suede wedges in Rome about 3 years ago and literally ended up wearing them nearly every day in the winter for 3 seasons. I had to admit in the end that they were looking tired. Wedges are so lovely and comfy compared to any other heels.

blossoming · 21/01/2011 14:43

You dark horse tracey! What colour did you get? I bet you did look good. I tried mine on with the IO dress and the proprtions are great with a mini dress/skirt I'd say.

traceybath · 21/01/2011 14:47

I got the pale grey Bloss and it is really lovely and very warm so thank you Smile

Carciofi - yeay for baby girl Smile And fingers crossed the PP resolves itself although I don't think you'd be too unhappy at an elective would you?

FritziGreenEyes · 21/01/2011 14:47

ouch plum hope you feel better!

notyummy What a good friend you are. Make sure not to forget to look after yourself too!

Pure jacket arrived today. Love it, so soft!

traceybath · 21/01/2011 14:47

Fritzi - are you feeling better today?

pickledsiblings · 21/01/2011 16:11

Dolcee, the monkeytastic and the cute do seem to go together, don't they. My older two seem to spend most of their time laughing at the little one, he is so full of his own self importance.

OWW, I bought the navy star dress you linked to. It caught my eye when I was shopping so I tried it on. It is darker looking than the photo and has a slight sheen. It is really rather nice and works on me with a belt. I will think of you when I wear it. It looks v. nice with black opaques and shoeboots and a charcoal blazer.

hellsbelles · 21/01/2011 16:12

ughhh..called the dr for my results and they won't give them to me without the dr calling me first...have been waiting since 11am for her to call. I've now worked myself into a total frenzy of panic. Blardy hell.

blossoming · 21/01/2011 16:14

Glad you like it fritzi. Did you get the grey too. Echo tracey's question and hope you're okay.
Also plum, hope the coccyx isn't as painful as feared.

blossoming · 21/01/2011 16:17

Surely just procedure hells?

pickledsiblings · 21/01/2011 16:23

hells, how frustrating, try not to worry

carciofi, how lovely that you are having another girl, have you thought of names yet? Sorry about the PP, I hope yours is a straight forward case.

Plum, how's the sore bum? Hope it's a bit better.

Off to do the swimming thing now, my least fav ECA.

Heathcliffscathy · 21/01/2011 16:54

hope it's fine hells. sure it will be.

Heathcliffscathy · 21/01/2011 16:58

i reneged on my no more cheap clothes NY resolution and bought

these, so fabulous with high shoe boots i cannot tell you

and

this which i'm not quite as sure of, it's looks just fine, but wondering if i've bought it at wrong time of year as we head into spring

none of which helps at all with my tops problems.

LetThemEatCake · 21/01/2011 17:10

Trying really hard to like those ash wedges since they're in my size and I could have 'em for about 40 quid but I think they look like galoshes, and quite fugly ones at that.

Fritzi, hells, Tracey: hope you are all ok. Hells try to relax, easier said than done I know.

carciofi · 21/01/2011 17:11

I like those Ash boots. My-Wardrobe gave me 10% off the Belstaffs.

Zembo, sorry you are still in pain. What does your DH think?

Tracey, I decided against a CS (after boring everyone about it at length Blush) but if I have to have one, that's fine. Your outfit sounds great.

Hells, hope you are ok.

Sophable, nice trousers.

PickledSiblings, Clara is the top favourite at the moment but not telling anyone in real life as I am quite sure some relatives won't like it! DH likes Carla too but his mother has already put him off it by laughing and saying Carla in Cheers, when he was thinking of Carla Bruni!

LetThemEatCake · 21/01/2011 17:12

Plum I got red, you still need contact details? Give your bum a rub from me Wink

carciofi · 21/01/2011 17:12

LTEC, have just seen your pink dress, gorgeous!

redllamayellowllama · 21/01/2011 17:14

Hope you're not kept waiting long Hells. Frustrating indeed.

Had lovely time trying dresses. She's going for a short dress and tried some gorgeous ones on, but not 'the one'. Has narrowed the search at least.

In other news, the purple Halston Heritage dress arrived and is so gorgeous. Quickly tried on and looks good, but need to play with accessories. Sizing is bizarre though, listened to the advice of the assistant and went for a 2 and it's a great fit.

redllamayellowllama · 21/01/2011 17:15

Also, liked the harems and the shirts you linked to very much, blouses. Have never bought from wrap before - any good?

redllamayellowllama · 21/01/2011 17:16

Bloody predicitve I-pad. Bloss, of course Blush
