carciofi glad to hear your exciting news(2 dds here too! Smile )

So sorry about PP..I had it with dd2 and
it is stressful when you have an older one who wants to be picked up(was strongly advised not to)and bleeding very upsetting but mine was not so severe to warrant bedrest so I hope you are on low end of scale.

you poor thing re-brother's wedding Sad but hopefully can arrange another trip to introduce dd2.

ReineDeSaba · 21/01/2011 11:35

oops!

redllamayellowllama · 21/01/2011 11:54

Roma, thanks for Alberta F tip, goddess dress is stunning. Will show my sis and see what she makes of it. Amanda Wakeley a good shout too mac, thank you!

Cake, he's just over 2. Is at nursery Thursdays and Fridays. DH can be around on Tuesdays from noon-ish, so can leave DS with him to make for a more free-flowing convo. Your call.

carciofi · 21/01/2011 11:56

Thanks ladies. I don't need bedrest luckily, just can't vaccuum (not too upset about that) or lift anything heavy. My brother and his fiancée were very nice about it and said their niece is more important. We will visit another time.

Lovely dress, Bloss.

macmama · 21/01/2011 12:01

Selfridges in London stocks Amanda Wakely ready to wear bridal I think as well as other labels.

PlumSykes · 21/01/2011 12:53

RedLlama, that Fur Coat No Knickers shop looks fabulous.Browns Bride is definately worth a visit, is £££, but good for a look. Does she have an idea of the type of silhouette she would like?

Although, when I went wedding dress shopping last week with friend, she wanted slim, elegant, with straps. She ended up with strapless with a full skirt and a lace bolero a la Grace Kelly, so perhaps it doesn't help to know what she wants in advance!

PlumSykes · 21/01/2011 12:56

'definitely' I mean. Sorry, was chatting and typing at same time.

MilliONaire · 21/01/2011 13:04

Girls,I just can't keep up!!! This thread just moves TOO fast Smile!

blossoming - best of luck at the interview, that polka dress is gorgeous! And I LOVE that navy wool top you linked to yesterday, I am actually contemplating it for spring now. I think we might be similar build/style based on what you have linked so far! Though you are no doubt waaaay skinnier than me I am sure! Thanks for filling me in on the jigsaw breton dress, it does sound like a nice idea alright, pity it wasn't great when you got it. I like that anglomania striped one you linked to, but sadly I could never wear anything like that in summer as I can't bear to expose my legs without at least 60denier coverage - thread veins and 1 varicose vein courtesy of dd Sad

I love the malene birger grey knitted dress too that was linked last night - love her stuff and that was just gorgeous! Resist, resist, resist!

I am dashing now to collect dd from school, but will be back later with more responses as there is so much going on with everyone.

redllamayellowllama · 21/01/2011 13:14

Thanks Plum, I think I might be going to Brown's even if she doesn't want to.

She's tiny, so will need something that doesn't swamp her. I thought the Akira dresses looked like just the ticket. Very £££, as you said, so may need to seek inspiration there rather than the dress itself.

blossoming · 21/01/2011 13:18

I'd forgotten about that navy top millionaire! When is it February again??

esher, just wanted to say, although I know you're not around during the day, that I was pleased you like the Wrap shorts. I thought someone on this thread would like the lux sport jersey jogger. Someone who wanted leg coverage maybe millionaire, and I quite suprised myself for liking the cropped harem style trousers. It takes me at least a year to get in on trends. Houlihans anybody! Anyway, that concludes my Wrap edit!

DolceeBanana · 21/01/2011 13:19

Tracey - think it's today for your house survey...good luck with it all ! I keep seeing house related things and imagine, 'ooh, Tracey would like that!' And, hope you are feeling better. DS too.

Carciofi - lovely brother and sister-in law! Quite right that their neice is far more important! So many lovely girls things around...exciting time....

Bloss- how's DD doing with the walking? We just got DD some shoes but as not really steady (still walking with arms up in the air), they were the least hideous of the crawler/walker stage....quite cute on her though!

Gosh, have rotten cold, and have been eating for England, I tell you...blame the Porridge this morning which got the juices flowing I'll bet. Have since had Parsnip soup, cheese and oatcakes, followed by greek yog and drizzle of honey...feeling full now tho thankfully....

I hope you have bought those shorts bloss you wont regret them

Llama my similarly teeny sister went for a very 1930's slinky bias cut look at her wedding which was very nice.

macmama · 21/01/2011 13:39

everything I like the skirt. On trend for the 1970's vibe this summer too.

AntPants1 · 21/01/2011 13:41

carciofi lovely news about baby girl. I had allow lying placenta and had to be rescanned at around 35 weeks. Was still low lying so scanned again at 38 weeks and it had moved just enough for me to have a natural birth. Was looking at c section otherwise. Fingers crossed the same happens to you.

blossoming · 21/01/2011 13:48

Oh Good Lord everything, step away NOW!!
I just really enjoyed watching that YouTube link for tying a square scarf. Maybe I need a square scarf in my life. It's surprising what suddenly becomes viable again when your boobs get back to normal, ie small. Maybe I could get a crisp white shirt and a square scarf to accessorise it. (What for, I've no idea!) Or is it too air hostessy?
mac, will buy the shorts, but later in the season!
dolcee, dd is, shall we say, a bit lazy? She crawls, she walks on her knees, she takes the ride-on option, and sometimes she walks! Definitely not well enough to warrant a trip to Russell & Bromley in Chester yet though. What do you mean there are other shoe shops available?

macmama · 21/01/2011 13:52

See I can see the happy skirt in summer looking good! I have a very loud orange paisley maxi halter (vintage) which will definitely get an airing this year Grin

everything I think that's a hideous skirt, but if you pulled it up, and belted round the waist, it would be a totally ace strapless mini dress.

Zembo · 21/01/2011 13:57

Cakey I've just ordered these wedge boots - similar to the ones you linked to yesterday, but higher. Hoping they'll work with my gap skinnies and perhaps rats.

Carciofi lovely news about your DD2 - please take care and listen to doctors orders!

Will catch up properly now.

TheAllNewOoooh · 21/01/2011 13:58

Carciofi sorry to hear about your PP. You can be like Phoebe in Friends, listening to the wedding at the end of a phone. Hope your DB doesn't call his fiancee 'Rachel' though!

Bloss that polka dot dress has been in and out of my basket for months! My only reservation was how it would look with larger boobs but otherwise I would have had it. I think it is perfect for an interview and for indulging in Pretty Woman fantasies Grin.

Redllama I married before discovering W&A and NAP so went down the fairly traditional wedding dress route but there are some amazing designer white dresses which are a little different. A friend of mine wore Temperley in the autumn for her wedding and looked utterly amazing.

Must dash - late for meeting...

ReineDeSaba · 21/01/2011 14:04

mac that is exactly what my sis in law is after..30s bias cut..another teeny bride..where did your sis find hers, please?

I,on the other hand, have been trying to twist her arm into some AF after VBs lovely links.

will pass on plums Browns suggestion too.

dolce I had a ravenous day yesterday..luckily the pangs have subsided as leftover crispy cakes from DD1 taking to nursery for birthday. She wants a 'princess cake' (the one with the doll stuck in it) for the party itself..am going to fortify mysef with booze to blot out the pink overload...

Romanholiday · 21/01/2011 14:10

anyone got codes for My Wardrobe?

hf128219 · 21/01/2011 14:10

carciofi Great news. Just make sure you rest up.
