yes, I never owned anything from there until Dh bought me something for Xmas. I quite like it, would prob like it more if I worked in an office or whatever

Bonsoir · 21/01/2011 10:01

My clothes and accessories purchases in January:

  • Kenzo sunglasses (exchange of revolting bag I was given by POLs for Christmas, but I had to add to the credit note)
  • La Perla body (sales)
  • La Perla suspender belt (sales)
  • Marni Summer Edition 2011 red tank top
  • Pink sparkly Deepa Gurnani headband
  • New strap for tired Hermès Cape Cod Double Tour watch

Sadly cannot find links for anything and am way too embarrassed to admit to how much I spent! Must stop...

OllieWollieWoo · 21/01/2011 10:08

Just had 2 deliveries. My BR dress is nice enough to keep here - lovely fit esp around the waist. Not sure when I will wear it (drinks for DH's work perhaps?) but fills a gap in my wardrobe (would not have paid full price tho)

The other was not the Pure coat (wonder where that is then?) but the house portrait we had done for our friends like this here- its really nice - they will love it.

Have a lovely WE away NY.

Tracey hope you are feeling better?

hf128219 · 21/01/2011 10:10

I have spent £112.

MarshaBrady · 21/01/2011 10:11

Dh has bought all the clothes for this house this month. But he needed it! And looks good in them, so better on my eyes too Grin

Bonsoir · 21/01/2011 10:14

LOL Marsha! I like it when my DP buys himself new clothes, too - he knows what a decluttering freak I am and always professes to be anxious I'll declutter him from my life if he doesn't constantly renew himself Wink

pickledsiblings · 21/01/2011 10:15

Nice dress OWW and thanks for linking to your friend's shabby chic website the other day, there are some lovely things but yet again mine and DH's tastes diverge.

Yes Tracey, hope you are feeling a bit better.

What was your budget for the month hf?

moragbellingham · 21/01/2011 10:17

Think I need a whole evening to catch up but just going to post and run this morning!

Thanks so much to buggied(?) for posting about the BR sequin skirt. It's a fab buy, prob my best of the sales.

And to OWW - re MN names - I wanted a formidable, rather scarey name for some reason. I'm not a fluffy person at heart. (And also love Home & AwayBlush)

MarshaBrady · 21/01/2011 10:19

Bonsoir Grin

hf128219 · 21/01/2011 10:19

Marsha Good drills!

Yes I liked the link OWW

Pickled £250 a month for clothes.

LetThemEatCake · 21/01/2011 10:19

well as long as it all gets worn I'm not too bothered. My life was screaming out for a pink dress Wink ever since I was in pre-labour with L I've been on the lookout! Grin

So I've got a 50th tomorrow night, a 40th next Sat and our leaving party the following week, plus various dinners and drinks in between. Adequate frock/ heels-wearing opps, I'd say.

Plus all the parties we will throw to make friends in our new hood/ stay in contact with London people! Good house for entertaining in summer

OWW love the navy star print. I have a gorgeous dress in spaghetti strap prom-style, white stars on navy background - from primark about 4 years ago. It's in Australia or I'd send it to you

does no one want that asos swan tee then? looks good with rats/ pleathers etc /....?

carciofi · 21/01/2011 10:21

Just lost a post, grr.
Plum, you looked lovely on your wedding day.

NY, that must have been a hard task.

Red, I wear Ash high tops with skinny jeans.

I don't think BR is great quality/fit but I like my new top.

Belstaffs arrived and are very cool but the leather on one of the boots is quite marked so I have asked for an exchange or discount.

DD is a lot better. I had a scan yesterday, baby is a girl, so we are very happy. However, I have placenta previa and some bleeding, and was told not to travel to NZ for my bro's wedding, which is very disappointing.

DolceeBanana · 21/01/2011 10:39

Hello...quick message.

Carciofi - wonderful news about the baby...such a shame that you have been advised not to go to NZ.. My friend had PP during her last preg. Was fine, as monitored throughout. Just have to do what they say I suppose...and look after you.

Yes, wear Ash (low tops in my case) with skinnies.

Out tonight. Wearing black skinnies, and shoe boots, not sure what top...will have a trying on sess this afternoon Wink

Have fun days all!

Congratulations Carciofi, fab news! Shame about missing your brother's wedding though. I had placenta previa when pregnant with DS. It had corrected itself by my 34 week scan (ended up having a c/s anyway, story for another time), but I found the bleeding to be very difficult emotionally. Make sure you take good care of yourself and rest as and when you can (easier said than done, I know).

redllamayellowllama · 21/01/2011 10:58

Am off this afternoon with my sister wedding dress shopping. She is very much the reluctant bride in terms of the dress, but we need to start somewhere.

We're going here today and then off to here next week. Am very much looking forward to the latter.

Has anyone got any suggestions for other shops? She's a size 6, fairly boyish in physique, olive skin, dark hair. Have been regularly forwarding her some evening dresses from NAP, even including a gorgeous HH jumpsuit, but nothing has taken her fancy yet.

blossoming · 21/01/2011 11:01

Oh you poor thing carciofi. Please take care of yourself. How lovely that it's a girl!

I have a 50th tomorrow night too ltec. They asked first, so I miss my schoolfriend's 40th. I think she's a little annoyed. However I did text her before Christmas to ask what the plans were and she didn't reply.
On the bright side DH said, No, I'll drive!

How much have I spent so far this month?
£150 Pure jacket
£50 MyPashmina
£80 IO ruched jersey dress.
(£200 made on Ebay so really only £80)
Oops, I've also bought the lkb sahara polka dot dress - just in case! But DH did say he'd pay for any interview stuff if necessary. I've been wanting an excuse to try that dress for months!
I have sent back the IO jersey dress in Charcoal, the Jigsaw Bretons and the Love Story jeans which would have added another £380 to the mix. Gosh I'm wise!

Romanholiday · 21/01/2011 11:03

RLYL I think Alberta Ferretti goddess gowns make good wedding dresses. A friend of mine wore a grey chiffon one at her lovely wedding on a Venice island. Bit £££ though.

LetThemEatCake · 21/01/2011 11:11

carciofi big congrats on your little girl! So sorry about the PP though, and your brother's wedding Sad

DolceeBanana · 21/01/2011 11:12

Oh stuck here as trying to book hols....just need to confirm dates with dh!!!!!

Oh, love AF dresses - a wonderful choice for a wedding gown.

Not S & B but just bought these beautiful books for DDs...really lovely. Clothes cool too.

I did make a special mention on early part of this thread Bloss re Anthropologie just for you - but guess you missed. They have a spot and stripe section Wink Yes, you are soooooo wise!

red how old is your dc1? if similar in age to my dc2 maybe we should do on a day when they are all 4 around?

macmama · 21/01/2011 11:17

Try Amanda Wakeley for slinky wedding gowns

macmama · 21/01/2011 11:19

carciofi thats so exciting - 2 DDs - like me!

Bummer about the PP and missing NZ trip/wedding Sad

blossoming · 21/01/2011 11:24

dolcee, I'm sorry I didn't mention that before. I did see it and meant to thank you. It's not a store I'm familiar with. Maybe on my next London trip!

ReineDeSaba · 21/01/2011 11:31

carciofi glad to hear your exciting news(2 dds here too! Smile )

So sorry about PP..I had it with dd2 and
it is stressful when you have an older one who wants to be picked up(was strongly advised not to)and bleeding very upsetting but mine was not so severe to warrant bedrest so I hope you are on low end of scale.

you poor thing re-brother's wedding Sad but hopefully can arrange another trip to introduce dd2.

DolceeBanana · 21/01/2011 11:31

Oh no worries Bloss
...thought you'd like. They have some lovely loose blazers that would look fab over breton and skinnies...Wink No need to thank!
