LetThemEatCake · 20/01/2011 21:20

bah, not available in my size now anyway

red I have ash high tops, not with chains but still ... they are a good look IMO Smile

very relieved to discover that my fat tummy is cycle-related and not Dukan's revenge Grin

LetThemEatCake · 20/01/2011 21:21

esher did you see potential sequin dress? or are you over the idea now?

waiting for feedback from choo and red on purple HH before I follow suit ...

redllamayellowllama · 20/01/2011 21:28

Some good finds on QA this is a billy bargain.

I am a bit chunky of calf in addition to being a squatling and feel that a flat-soled high top may work against me. Maybe one to admire from afar.

Cake, you must let me know when you're next in the hood.

eshermummy · 20/01/2011 21:33

LTEC -saw sequins, was kind of over it but would have been back into it for that one iyswim - but sadly not left in my size Sad

Red sadly those chainy hi-tops not in my size although I already have four pairs of Ash hi-tops so maybe a good thing. I love hi-tops and skinnies or 7/8ths = my spring uniform.

Zembo get yourself checked over. It is possible that mc was incomplete or you have an infection - both of which need sorting out sharpish.

Plum coccyx injuries are soooo painful. Poor you.

Bloss IO dress and boots combo sounds positively vixen-ish!

PlumSykes · 20/01/2011 21:50

Some good bargains to be had on Halston Heritage at Flannels

Heathcliffscathy · 20/01/2011 21:52

still available in my size though Sophable .. what are you suggesting??

Please someone, do not let me buy any more dresses.

have just written a very difficult email Sad but how lame that I yearn to spend as a pick-me-up (could be worse, could be amphetamines)

You okay everything?

LTEC buy them now. they are fabulous, really wearable, great colour (not too pink toned, but rather nude) and shape and you'll wear them all spring/summer.

gah.

LetThemEatCake · 20/01/2011 22:23

do I want this as well?

redllamayellowllama · 20/01/2011 22:29

Shoes are great. Colour of the dress would look great on you, but the detailing isn't quite right somehow.

LetThemEatCake · 20/01/2011 22:35

this is cute though

LetThemEatCake · 20/01/2011 22:38

by the way, does anyone want this in a medium? free to a good home.

redllamayellowllama · 20/01/2011 22:39

More like it, very pretty detailing.

countless · 20/01/2011 23:06

hello, please can i intrude and ask your wise opinion on these jeans they just arrived today and i kind of like the colour but not sure about the 'distressed' look, i'm usually very anti

is this a good colour for spring in your opinions..? that's my question really Confused

LetThemEatCake · 20/01/2011 23:12

hello countless! Um, I'm going to be dull and say no - I think all of the camels and khakis and desert colours had their day last spring/ summer and look a bit tired and drab now, esp with all the bright colour blocking stuff coming through. Also, the pic where she has her hand on her hip, she looks chunky, which doesn't bode well for anyone, really

Also £80-odd is too much to spend on something you're not sure about, i think.

hope that helps?

countless · 20/01/2011 23:24

thanks for replying fast LTEC. ooh i don't want to wear tired and drab jeans! i thought they were bit of bargain at 50% of..but i'm always buying things because they seem such bargains and this is why i have a wardrobe full of clothes i don't want to wear!

shall pay attention to this thread. thanks again

macmama · 20/01/2011 23:35

Agree with LTEC that jeans don't seem that flattering on the model sorry countless maybe they are better in RL but surely model is a stick insect..

Welcome to the thread BTW it will help you make wise buys but is also prone to encouraging rather avid spending.. Grin

I am so excited just ordered this for DD2's first birthday (next week!) - saw it in a local shop recently and she just loved it she got the hang straight away even went backwards & screamed when I took her off it ... I tried some wheelybugs too but she just didn't seem to get on with them.

macmama · 20/01/2011 23:39

eek staying up late again. THink I will scrap getting up early tomorrow, met my deadline today so thats the important thing.

Going to try to work from home tomorrow and take it a bit easy!

Night all

LetThemEatCake · 21/01/2011 00:09

that's cute mac

very wise countless - remember it's not a bargain unless you would have loved it enough to pay full price for it.

just had to come back to say 2 things - sorry dexter totally forgot to answer your LA question, yes will be online! Launches next month, Feb 14th iirc.

secondly red that would be great, would love to get monkey and vin along too but even if not .. how's Tues after next (1st Feb)?

have resisted lure of Edelmans as am (ballet) pumped for summer with 2 pairs of Bloch already. Right, bedtime and a morning off for me tomorrow as am well ahead on everything so can give it (and me!) a rest. Good night all

bunnymother · 21/01/2011 03:15

"Remember it's not a bargain unless you would have loved it enough to pay full price for it" - true true true!

Countless - I sort of agree w Cake re jeans, in that I am still loving camels, khakis etc, but those jeans are not right and don't work IMO.

Cakey - hmm thoughtless comment from lady today. I saw you in RL only a few days ago and you don't look tired. She is rude + wrong. Yes to Malene dress, if grey is good colour for you, as 'tis lovely.

Bloss - you are quite inspirational - loving your "am 40 and [fab]" quote. Makes me smile, and also feel glad that its possible to have babies and find your way back to looking and feeling good. BTW never mentioned that you look wonderful in profile pic. Are you sure red pashmina needs to be returned?

Re ageing - v Envy of those of you w olive complexions, as it def does give you a lead in looking ageless. DH is v olive and looks like a young man of 21 still. Not so for me - sun damaged pale skin. Thankfully the DDs have skin like his! I used to look young for my age, now I look my age . Will attempt DIY refurbishment w various lotions and potions when have more energy.

Mac - another stomach separator? Not great that it takes hard work to fix, no? Who else has this problem? - fatigue is zapping already poor memory.

Looby - beautiful beautiful family! Poss biased as your family resembles my own a bit, but, nah, on stand alone basis, still beautiful!

What else?? So much that I read and think about but forget to post about!

bunnymother · 21/01/2011 05:20

Doesn't Nancy Kissinger look magnificent?? Grand dame.
