Ollie - I like that Inwear dress you linked to - very nice!!

There is a health club in the hotel ladies with pool/sauna/steam room so brings your bikinis! You could float around in the pool and think de-stressing thoughts before the meet-up...or sweat out the toxins on the morning after Grin

CHOOGIRL · 10/01/2011 15:32

Ok - then approved.Smile

LetThemEatCake · 10/01/2011 15:33

oooh were you with another lady in the door of CR? with a baby? wearing (poss - let's test memory) a sparkly tee? Do you have short hair??

LTEC - I love that you think a pair of green snakeskin stilettoes will be versatile!

redllamayellowllama · 10/01/2011 15:37

How I missed the top OWW, I don't know. Sizing tips anyone? Am a small size 10.

Glad to hear nursery days went well.

macmama · 10/01/2011 15:38

Agree the VWA is lovely.

Great shoes LTEC love the colour.

My Asos order arrived.

Hate the platform wedge padding&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr= boots which will be going back. Also will be returning the shorts&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr= Grey velvet shorts. Nice but not me, I have my eyes on a better pair of shorts from UO.
Think boots&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Black these are keepers.

Got these which I like but strangely the 26 in black fit me better than the 27 in indigo which are slightly tight in waist - go figure!

Also got cardigan&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Natural this because I couldn't resist more animal print! tis very nice.

Yes! Were you going as I was faffing with chairs etc? I should have recognised you: stripy cowl, long dark hair, model-esque? God, of all the times for a W&A-er to see me! Can you at least give me a chance to run a brush through my hair next time Grin.

The girl with me is the stylist. Does Claudia, Holly, Tess, etc.

Love the boots and the jeans Macmama. Actually I've been looking for a boot to wear with my Gap coated numbers - they might just be the ticket.

You'd have to be very cool to pull off the cardie, but then I bet you are! I would risk channelling Bet Lynch I fear.

LetThemEatCake · 10/01/2011 15:51

god that's so funny!! you looked at me with real recognition, I was a bit "oh bugger, do I know you from monkey music or something?" Grin Then I figured you were just wanting me to hurry up and leave so you could use our table! You offered to get the door for me right??

how funny!!!! Had a similar thing with red in greenwich recently. BTW red my god, you look so youthful!! Please tell me you are actually young and not just extremely genetically blessed?

anyway yes to stripey cowl and long hair, er no to modelesque. But thanks. Smile

LetThemEatCake · 10/01/2011 15:52

dexter they are not green. Honest!! they are metallic. Kind of pewter actually.

I don't like black shoes against colour, you see. And I own several frocks of colour.

macmama · 10/01/2011 15:52

ooh I am wearing said boots with Gap coated skinnies right now (working from home, about to pick up DD1 from a club)!

I have to say I am over Gap stretchy jeans - they all get a bit baggy in the leg for me altho coated ones much better than normal black which I am going to ebay (the gap size 4 black stretchy jeans now ludicrously large- think they must have stretched). Hoping the Monkee Genes will be better (very low rise though!)

My problem with jeans is finding tight enough in the thigh but that will still fit me around hips waist (curvyish hips and excess skin on waist from large babies!)

Sees mention of bikinis and goes for a quiet sit-down Wink

LetThemEatCake · 10/01/2011 16:00

yes 'fess up - who's going on a pre meet-up diet?? Grin

I would love to tot up the A&W totals for the following things over the last year

  1. Pounds lost
  2. Money spent on clothes (also pounds lost??)
blossoming · 10/01/2011 16:08

That's a really interesting question ltec.

I can do 1. pounds lost, but 2.? Clothes bought offset by Ebay sales. Clothes bought, then returned, then bought again. Clothes bought by dh. Clothes bought, then ebayed bought again in a smaller size..
Complex mathamatical equation methinks!
I may trawl through credit card records, but I doubt I'll fess up!
And yes to pre meet up diet. How much do I have to lose before I lose my wobbly belly?
The last of the Christmas chocolates have been consumed by dcs after school. I breathe a sigh of relief. I was almost in the Cadbury's Caramel just then.

VerityBrulee · 10/01/2011 16:10

There are about 20 pages to catch up on since saturday Shock

Back to reality with a bump here, first day back to school, college and work chez Brulee, urgh, feel ready for bed.

Will try to simultaneously cook, do homework and catch-up Smile

redllamayellowllama · 10/01/2011 16:13

I'll be 29 next Tuesday but also look very young. Have found it to be a curse as opposed to a blessing so far; not taken seriously by certain pupils/parents and also can often be put into a box by people who look noticeably disarmed when they spot my wedding ring or hear me talk. Annoying.

OWW I've never even looked at Inwear before and love all that you have linked to. Will ask again about sizing as am now worked up that I may miss out!

Very amused by another unnoticed A&W meet-up!

redllamayellowllama · 10/01/2011 16:16

Macmama, I have exactly e same problem and have found Nudie to be the answer. They are such lovely jeans.

mrsjuan · 10/01/2011 16:26

mac and red - I have the opposite problem (good fit on thighs = gaping at waist) so will give nudie jeans a miss - thanks Grin

la la la

Love it when there's a coincidental A&W meeting. Also love it that there's very little chance of it happening to me. Perhaps I don't want to move back down south after all!

OllieWollieWoo · 10/01/2011 16:29

Red - I'm a medium in Inwear (normally size 12) but think certain Inwear tops come up big? Can't remember what shape/size you are? Let me know if you would like me to look out for anything in particular to try on and review Smile
There is a good Inwear concession at Schipol airport - wonder if DS2 fancies a bit of plane spotting tomorrow???

bunnymother · 10/01/2011 16:30

Cakey - LOVE the Rupert Sanderson shoes - please pat them for me. Also, not pleased that no stockists of that Cavallino stationery near me - think the wrapping paper looks fun.

Plum - really glad to hear little boy Plum is OK and it wasn't anything serious. I would have been panicking too.

Zembo - why hello, and so pleased to hear you had a great holiday! Return to work not so good.

SO far so good today - no one has thrown up on me, which is lucky as can't keep up w the washing!

OllieWollieWoo · 10/01/2011 16:31

Sorry Red just seen your post re your size - best defer to Cake and Tracey?

PlumSykes · 10/01/2011 16:33

Bunny, Lots of Cavallini here

Mumsnut · 10/01/2011 16:41

Waaah! No Brora preview for me (and I spent a fortune on baby bits this year). Were the wristwarmers included?

traceybath · 10/01/2011 16:42

Red - I got an xs and its very roomy so I think they come up big.

Zembo - glad to see you back and am sure wearing your new coate will have made back to work a lot more bearable Smile

Oh I am so going on a diet.

Is it just me or is this a bit like wedding preparation Wink

How many of us in total are going to be there on the sat night?
