Oh my God, I choked (try and hum along to We Three Kings...)!! But here is the new thread.

OP posts:
Bonsoir · 30/11/2010 20:20

No pressure at all - I knew him before he knew what deodorant is entered the cosmetics business and have shared a bedroom with him in London/Madrid/Milan/wherever Grin.

FritziGreenEyes · 30/11/2010 20:31

bonsoir The menu for your dinner party sounds delicious! I'm sure Monsieur Lancome will enjoy it too Grin. Your DD's Aigle boots are lovely and look very cozy.

Hope that everyone is warm! Have got weights and Jillian ready for tomorrow. Who else signed up for operation Shred-before-Christmas?

roma We have a Nespresso machine too and the grand cru concept makes me snigger every time I go to the shop to buy capsules. I have to admit that I like the Malkovich/Clooney ads on TV Blush.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 30/11/2010 20:33

ZEMBO Thank you, thank you, thank you. It was me liking the Oakley and can certainly justify it at that price. Also got a Luca as that price for leather is fantastic. One of them will have to go back of course.....

florenceuk · 30/11/2010 20:34

Ladies - Romika snow boots - should I go one size up (36) or are they very generously sized?

Bonsoir · 30/11/2010 20:35

What should I serve for dessert? Chocolate/pistachio fondant or individual glasses of pannacotta with raspberries/blueberries on top?

Romanarama · 30/11/2010 20:35

MM I do the whole 4 courses when we have guests, but for us it's usually just a primo or secondo. I don't have enough appetite, nor patience at the fornelli, to produce the whole shebang every time. I also cringe when someone orders a cappuccino at the end of a meal Blush

Romanarama · 30/11/2010 20:38

Pannacotta

MarshaBrady · 30/11/2010 20:41

Ah I see, phew. Although very envious of all the freebies.

Fritzi have you seen Up in the Air? G Clooney film. Really enjoyed it.

monkeysmama · 30/11/2010 20:50

I vote pannacotta too.

I am trying to retrain my appetite. Food I'm doing ok with but the vino calls me every evening and it seems rude not to have one large glass. On that note, yup I'm shredding from tomorrow. I plan to do it about 11 when dd naps.

mrsjuan · 30/11/2010 20:52

Evening all,

Zembo that coat is stunning - are you getting one? Please say you are! What a lovely idea for your DS's birthday. My mum did me a teddy bears picnic party once and it is the main party that I remember - it was wonderful Smile. I bet your DD will make a beautiful Mary.

We must have nearly the whole cast of a nativity between us.

Esher I spent quite some time searching for nest snow boots earlier - google kept nudging me towards next but I assumed you knew of a little independent company Confused Then I read your second post. Oops.

I think the Peppa boots are quite cute - where's the fun in being a child if you can't wear your favourite characters on your feet occasionally! DD has a Peppa swimming costume Blush.

Gosh - have to admit to being a complete dunce about Italian food and coffee rules, although your menu sounds lovely Bonsoir. I didn't know the cappuccino rule - can't you even have one with cake?

Fritzi I'm on team shred - looking forward to it.

mm thank you very much for your message - I'm afraid it will be Thurs now before I can get to the post office as I'm in work tomorrow (weather permitting). Hope that's ok.

monkeysmama · 30/11/2010 20:59

Are you mad MrsJuan? Looking forward to it Shock?!

No rush at all re pjs as long as they're here by Christmas (really). Don't go out of your way.

traceybath · 30/11/2010 21:15

Evening.

Just back from Harvey Nichols and it was fun - glass of champagne as I wandered round.

Fritizi - for you I tried on a Joseph shearling coat - and oh my - it was so utterly gorgeous that have decided that can be my 40th birthday present in a couple of years - nothing like planning ahead Wink

But most excitingly on the drive home a big owl flew in front of my car!

And agree cappucino after food makes me feel sick.

Zembo - I looked at maxmara and oh so soft - I really think you deserve a little treat Smile

MM - hows the new sofa?

Bonsoir - dinner sounds yummy.

blossoming · 30/11/2010 21:18

That's the spirit mrsj. Look forward to toned arms, bum, legs and increased bedroom activity...

Romanarama · 30/11/2010 21:27

bloss you have just got me really interested in the shred!

Zembo · 30/11/2010 21:34

MrsJ I haven't bought the maxmara yet CHOO has though. Looking forward to our little indoor picnic, have made 8 picnic baskets, only one to go. Now am trying to get hold of that 'grass' stuff (that greengrocers use to display fruit) to use in our lounge to make things look more realistic. Oh well it's taking my mind off other things Smile

Tracey glad to hear the weather didn't thwart your HN fun Smile and agree I need a treat (although do seem to treat myself most weeks Blush)

Libra I've got that Oushka bag in grey (so has Cake) it's fab - I actually bought it for my sister but ended up keeping it Blush

Zembo · 30/11/2010 21:36

Cakey and Bonsoir hope you're both feeling loads better - you both sound like you've got loads on at the moment, no time to be ill

Fleecy · 30/11/2010 21:36

mrsj I am learning tonight too. Although I've never ever had a cappucino as I'm not a massive coffee fan.

So roma and mm what should I drink after dinner (when I go out to dinner)? I usually ask for coffee and have whatever they give. Usually a strong one in a little cup. Can you tell I'm totally ignorant about such things?

I love veal though. And Lancome. Can I come? Grin

bloss yon naughty girl Wink

I'm all excited today as I think I found a dear old schoolfriend on here today. She's not a regular and seems to come on every few months, post loads for a couple of days then go again. Have PMed her so we'll see...

monkeysmama · 30/11/2010 21:38

That sounds lovely Zembo.

Tracey sofa is good thank you. Just need to get our Christmas tree up so I can out the tens of wrapped gifts somewhere. Our house should feel better soon after months of upheaval.

Bloss now I too am feeling all enthusiastic Grin.

Fleecy · 30/11/2010 21:38

yon??

Have just been rehearsing for a Christmas concert so maybe it's getting to me!

Fleecy · 30/11/2010 21:38

mm have you linked to your sofa and I missed it? Or can you link?

blossoming · 30/11/2010 21:51

Why d'you think I've been doing it since May????

traceybath · 30/11/2010 21:52

I didn't realise it was that type of dvd bloss Wink

OllieWollieWoo · 30/11/2010 22:08

Bloss - just shared your Shred comment with DH and he has unwrapped the dvd and placed it next to TV ready for me to use tomorrow Shock

Love the coffee related chat even tho I don't drink it! Those Nespresso shops are popular over here too Roman - and always full of customers!

Just back from a nice meal at a friends house, -3 but feels much colder. Local roads are like an ice rink - the car just slid into the parking space!

DS1 lost one of his new exxy gloves - he has only been wearing them for 2 days. Happened twice last winter too with the same make and style of gloves so now we have 3 left handed gloves sitting in the glove basket! I was really miffed as he just shrugged and said I could buy another pair! Gave him a little lecture in the car on the way home on the value of money - not that he was listening and I did sound like my Mum, but got it off my chest!

pickledsiblings · 30/11/2010 22:23

I shall be shredding too ladies and looking forwards to the bonus results.

Tracey, even the snow couldn't stop you from a free glass of bubbly. LOL at you planning your 40th pressie.

Bonsoir, how could you let Mr Lancome slip through your fingers?

Zembo you temptress, those Oushka bags.

Ski boots here today too along with a pink wool duffle - I kid you not Blush. It is my warmest coat. In my mind < said in an Eddie Izzard voice > I was wearing Marsha 's outfit.

reallygrumpy · 30/11/2010 22:29

bunny I just looked at the pics of you and the baby bunnies, what gorgeous girls and you look amazing. I hope your early days at home are going well and you're all snuggled up somewhere warm.

Well after nearly slipping over a few times on icy pavements today I ordered Roma's timberlands as I figure they're smart enough to commute in. Fingers X'd they arrive soon. I'm working from home tomorrow and I'm so glad I don't have to venture out.

Oh, and as for coffee, DH has a nespresso and loves it. I think it's the only kitchen gadget he's ever cleaned Grin.

MM how's the new sofa?
