Come join me!
Not so inspired but I do so hate being threadless.

OP posts:

Lovely dress Hells!

Was thinking today I fancy some leopard print heels to wear with new Anglomania.

LTEC - that is a lot on! Serious outfit planning needed Grin

Bunny - ooooh its so not long now Grin

So returning to the Royal Wedding - I am so not sure I'd have wanted that ring - would you?

traceybath · 16/11/2010 18:27

And you've all inspired me to try dukan again after my abject failure last time - wonder if it was because I too was bf.

Right will hit the shops tomorrow for protein.

Oh and talking of stopping bf - oh dear my poor boobs - honestly they are so depleted.

My sister bought this in red looks good for anyone off for some winter sun.

Bonsoir · 16/11/2010 18:32

mrs juan - the wooden farm is four years old and comes from The Netherlands but I am afraid it has no make or any other clue that could help. Have you looked at German websites? They often have fabulous wooden/traditional toys.

traceybath - glad you are enjoying Superdry. I think they make great SAHM wear - very versatile for chores/errands/school run without being either fragile or frumpy!

Thank you for the feedback on my party - which I am sort of looking forward to, though my heart sinks a bit when I think about how much I still have left to do. I haven't decided what to wear and will probably err on the side of conservatism, it being family and all that. Maybe my plain blue-green superfine wool dress with my peacock feather necklace?

hellsbelles · 16/11/2010 18:33

Tracey - I have seem leopard print heels - will try t/m with dress and see how it looks!

As far as breast feeding breasts go...I do think you need to wait ages (I'm still waiting this time round!) to know how they are going to end up. After I stopped BF DS I swear it took nearly a year or more to get back to some sort of normality...somehow the fullness did get better (though not to previous standard!). So fingers crossed you find the same.

Bonsoir · 16/11/2010 18:39

On the clothes-as-presents theme, I went Christmas shopping while DD was at art class this afternoon and bought these pyjamas for my nine year old red head fashion hating nephew. You cannot buy Maloup in England but apparently you can order from the website and they will send anywhere.

Bonsoir · 16/11/2010 18:42

Also got these Pèpè slippers for DD's stocking.

LetThemEatCake · 16/11/2010 18:49

all this talk of royal weddings, bunting and abandoned knicks has reminded me that I saw some fab bunting at the market the other day made from ladies' knickers!! Brilliant!

loobylu3 · 16/11/2010 18:51

ABO- had one more idea- oka direct. Had a quick look and a couple of the throws are really lovely but all depends on your parent's taste, etc :)

www.okadirect.com

sorry can't link on this computer)

Will try to pop back later and reas other comments but have to get DD from Borwnies!

hellsbelles · 16/11/2010 18:54

'some' heels!

Bonsoir - beautiful slippers.

Dukaners - I don't know if I mentioned before but after completing the attack phase I ignored all his bleating on about olive oil and just use it with abandom (I'm so wild aren't I). It didn't seem to hinder weight loss and made the whole diet far more paletable.

Also Cake- do not be aghast if there is a complete halt in loss when you first move back to alternating protein and veg...it goes on for a little bit and then the weight loss starts again.

mrsjuan · 16/11/2010 19:01

Just had to share that DD 'wrote' W I T with her bath letters tonight. A wise and avid girl in the making?

Thanks Bonsoir - will have a look at some German sites. Have already bought some family sets of Schleich animals that I'm sure she will love so will have to make sure that their new residence will house them sufficiently.

Bonsoir · 16/11/2010 19:04

Oh yes, those Schleich animals are very glam and require very spruce accommodation Wink. I'll post if I see anything smart enough on my shopping sprees around the internet!

traceybath · 16/11/2010 19:21

Oh we love schleich animals too - and have many many tractors. I've bought DD a wooden tractor and horsebox for christmas so she will hopefully stop taking DS2's the whole time Hmm

Right so Dukan - whats good to eat in the attack phase for a meat-eater?

FritziGreenEyes · 16/11/2010 19:24

blossoming Thanks for starting a new thread!

dolcee Your Christmas plans sound lovely as does your outfit! I have the tea dress too and think it's very flattering and comfortable too. Where is your velvet coat from? Love the English tradition of opening presents in the morning and lounging in pyjamas (and having lovely drink for breakfast!).

hells I haven't ordered yet. My finger is still hovering over the buy button.

looby Oh I didn't know you could shop online at Heals. Have to hide the credit card or hope they don't deliver to Europe.

hellsbelles · 16/11/2010 19:25

Tracey - I ate steak for a fair few suppers! Also cold chicken slices for lunch (and snacks) and I found some good smoked chicken in Waitrose which is quite pleasant! Other than that I was having Salmon (foil baked with some lemon squeezed over it), and lots of shell fish.

PlumSykes · 16/11/2010 19:42

Just doing Boden preview order for DCs for next yr. Am up to £500 plus, already. How can that be?!

Ah well, will send a lot back, so may as well see if there's anything for me. And my pimps and 'hos have been working hard this week, so I feel I've earned it. Anyway, Bloss, have you seen this in the cornflower blue? Perfect for you, I would think.

FritziGreenEyes · 16/11/2010 19:47

mrsjuan Wooden farms here or here. Another one. Also lots on Amazon. If you want anything I can order for you and post it.

marsha It was a pleasure to help. Would be a shame if you would be without all that NAP spending money Wink.

ollie Thanks for links. Have bookmarked and will order for my nephews!

Feel a bit under pressure to do Dukan and lose some more but I'm still fairly stressed out from work that I can't really think about what I should/shouldn't eat. Need my daily fix of caffeine and sugar to get through the day Blush.

notyummy How is everything going without your mother's help? Have recently been fantasizing about having someone come to our house and not only do the cleaning once a week but also do laundry and shopping. But maybe I just go for the shearling Grin.

cake Wow what a party schedule! Lots of outfits needed I think.

Hope all sick DCs are on the mend and you all have quiet evenings.

FritziGreenEyes · 16/11/2010 19:50

bonsoir Forgot to say: Zebra cardi for DD arrived today. It's lovely! Thanks for recommending it to wear with Monsoon tulle skirt. Your party sounds well planned already. Love the sound of your outfit.

mrsjuan · 16/11/2010 19:56

Oh wow, thank you thank you Fritzi - some of those look very promising indeed - and a handy recap of my GCSE German at the same time Grin

LetThemEatCake · 16/11/2010 20:08

tbh it sounds a lot but is actually no-brainer, most of it (dh work stuff tricky for reasons mentioned) And I have plenty of party dresses Grin

Forgot to mention that I bought this on ebay the other day which is very nice indeed, although doubt whether it is actually 'vintage'. Needs a bit of nip and tuck to stop gape but otherwise a bargainous easy frock.

Not quite in the league of the foil HH I linked to yesterday but hey ..

what do you think of the Lee Angel jewellery on the Outnet here I like quite a lot of it ...

did a typical junkie thing today of nipping into Sainsbury's to get some more crayfish and just itching to buy 'something' for self - bought pair of PP tights in a colour I knew I didn't want and a size I know is not long enough in the leg, plus a baubly necklace thing because er, why?? £12 of tat which I now have to return. It's like being bulimic, but with shopping. Blush

Anyone else do stuff like that?

rufus101 · 16/11/2010 20:12

I'm back!!! (big wave to all) I can't keep up with you guys, you're unbelievable! I am not up to speed in any aspect of my life at the mo, work, Christmas, and just in general.
I have done some Christmas shopping for DC and that is it. NY am so not surprised you are organised. There must be a special gene for that, which I am lacking. (poor excuse I know)
I bought this this Didi car for DS2 which I know he'll just love. In fact there will probably be a fight over it!
I have been keeping up (albeit just about) and have ordered the stripey Janice! Awaiting order as we speak. I think it will be a keeper. Did any of you get tights on the tightsplease. co. uk flash sale the other day. One hour only Wolfords for 10 euro, was very avid needless to say.
Don't know how you do the Dukan, those of you, I'm just not disciplined enough. I tried and even though I'm a real protein fiend, I failed miserably. Must try again.

Bloss am off to London next week! I am going over on the Thursday (to get my shopping in) and DH is arriving on the Friday. Getting my hair cut with Frank on the Friday, and am very excited by that, but I don't think he has the raw material to work with. Is he good at directing you? I really want someone to go "I think this would look great on you, and just do it" rather than the usual, "well what do you think? Maybe we'll just take a cm off the ends".AARGH! Also I'm very Envy of your crafy skills. You are so talented and creative, and I think you'd be an amaing colour consultant. So there!

Can any of you London ladies give me some ideas for cool places to eat on the Friday and Saturday? We like our food, and any kind, and quite like a buzz!

Hope you're feeling ok Bunny and you too Carciofi. Think I agree with the Anya consensus. Lucky you.

Your Christmas plans sound heavenly Dolcee. Lucky me I am going to my sister, which I am really looking forward to. Lots of fizz will be consumed! I am doing the ham. I will cook it in Coca Cola (full fat version) a la Nigella I know it sounds odd, but it was the nicest ham I ever did. Divine, people couldn't stop themselves continuing to pick at it!

Was LOL at the VPHL, BTW, v funny. (oh dear too many acronyms there)

Got a lovely note from my DD's teacher arranging a time for the upcoming parent teacher meeting, where she said "DD is a great student, I have only good things to say about her, and I am really looking forward to meeting you". So silly, but it really lifted me.

MrsJuan this farm or this one is lovely. I love this this fire station is also lovely, but very ££££

bunnymother · 16/11/2010 20:39

Re the Royal Wedding, I would NOT hve wanted that ring. Perhaps if his parents had a happy marriage... But they didn't so would have been annoyed. Was he driven by sentiment or saving cash? Oooh cynical.

Zembo · 16/11/2010 20:43

Rufus really good to hear from you, know what you mean about not being up to speed on any areas of life - that's me too! Hope you have a great trip to London.

All these links to toys where there are loads of 'components' fill me with dread! They are lovely, but all the bits get everywhere and take ages to collect up, maybe mine are a bit too young still (4 and almost 2). Just bought my DS this bus as relatively few pieces.

Cake no joy on the peacock front at the Nottingham Primark either. They did have a colourful version as a hairclip though.

I whizzed into space NK to get the Laura Mercier primer and Warehouse to get the leopard scarf - it's lovely - I got the brown one as seemed to suit me better than the grey one. Didn't really have time for anything else!

bunnymother · 16/11/2010 20:44

Bonsoir - we had extended canapés (ie lots for longer) at our wedding instead of canapés then entree and it was fantastic. Lots of mingling, people chatting, enjoying the different tasties on offer. Really great. Am guessing you could keep it simple, stick w the classics (ie smoked salmon blinis etc) and everyone will still be v happy. Blue/green looks great on blondies (you are, aren't you?).

Hells - v cute dress for your DD.

hf128219 · 16/11/2010 20:44

Marking my place. Gosh so busy already!

There was a really nice Lee Angel necklace in the Outnet sale - but it went! I like it.

Lovely glittery VWA dresses in Liberty today.

carciofi · 16/11/2010 20:48

Hi Rufus, that is lovely about your DD. Hope you have a good weekend. Where are you staying? The last restaurant I was in was the Gaucho Grill on Sloane Ave, great steak.

My dd would love that farm. I can have it sent to my dad for her as we are going to Dublin for Christmas. My dad is a great cook and brother is a former chef so we will be well fed. Just one glass of champagne for me this year!

Gorgeous dress,LTEC. The Lee Angel jewelry is very pretty. Lots of stars. :)
