Come join me!
Not so inspired but I do so hate being threadless.

Last one from me - honest!

Everything - thanks for the link to that coach. I will investigate!

Looby - I did buy the circus print dress from that site (Pretaportabello) but when I bought it, it was on the 'main' site at a fixed price. I think I paid around £50. One owrd of warning about the sizing - it is genuinely a REALLY flattering dress, but very small on top. I am a 32A/10 on top. I looked on the sizing and it said 10-12 was a small so I ordered that. Not a problem on the bottom because of the wrap around styling, but the top is FAR too small. Now due to being busy, I never got round to exchanging, so I wear it anyway with a plain strappy black top underneath and it looks good. I would say for it to fit on top I would have needed a L (14-16) which seems ridiculous - but there is literally a 4 inch gap at the top!

40deniertights · 19/11/2010 10:56

Laughing at the prancing talking about genitalia NY! When does that stage end? Seems infinite.. Very intrigued by NLP. Have heard of it, but not really looked into it before. Can I say as a newcomer, that you are indeed a lovely thread group. Smile

blossoming · 19/11/2010 10:56

On another frivolous note, I seem to have reached my goal weight! That elusive 'smoking' weight I've mentioned before. I hate to admit it but those last 4lbs were all bread and butter lbs! I've stopped that, and now they've gone. So a lifetime ahead of me to maintain this weight now.

Oooh well done Bloss. Am also Envy in a nice way!

pickledsiblings · 19/11/2010 10:58

notyummy IME the landed gentry can ... how can I say this? ... be a bit ... scruffy Grin. Don't forget to pack your wellies, woolies and waterproofs, oh, and have a great time.

notyummy · 19/11/2010 10:58

TY 40Denier - and HURRAY for Blossoming!

Romanarama · 19/11/2010 10:59

oh pickled I had a cape when I was little. That Zara one is lovely. Is it wrong to wish for a dd just to buy little capes Blush? Closest I get to that here is a batman outfit Grin

notyummy · 19/11/2010 11:01

I have waterproof jacket, flat boots suitable for long walks and thick jumper pickled! In fact I have things to cover most options....DH is going to be like this Hmm when he sees the bag AND the hanging stuff in the car.

Never knowingly undressed!!

hf128219 · 19/11/2010 11:02

NY Bottle of Malt? Grin

Have a fab time.

Bloss Well done you! Great news.

pickledsiblings · 19/11/2010 11:03

Not wrong at all Roma, but it is wrong of me to prance around in DD's (a la cake) after she has gone to bed, especially as it is way too small on me Blush.

blossoming · 19/11/2010 11:11

Thank you! 22lbs since January.

hf, v exciting re dh but sorry you'll be on your own.

Lol at ny in the country with all her clothes.

It is indeed a lovely thread. Do not abandon me w&a'ers. As you can tell from earlier posts I can't deal with rl fashion in this town!

Well done Bloss!

redllamayellowllama · 19/11/2010 11:12

Zembo, although we've not 'met', I want you to know you're in my thoughts. So sorry.

DS' Nursery attending was short-lived. He's got a horrible temperature and cough and is refusing to leave our bed. He has a history of febrile convulsions, so am always particularly concerned when he is poorly.

Choo I was the one struggling to carry bags (and try on jeans - really didn't think it through) with a baby in a sling.

Roma those shoes are lovely, but I always struggle with the functionality of that style. Daytime = too high to be practical. Evening = a bit too casual? But you may be someone who is excellent at walking in heels. So ignore me.

Vin, absolutely move to Paris. Amazing. My Mum's friend, based in South Africa, has an amazing flat near the Marais that she bought as a student in the '60's and can no longer afford the flights to return to. We use it when not on a longer let and my goodness, I'd love to make it a permanent move.

redllamayellowllama · 19/11/2010 11:15

Managed to x-post with about 20 posts! Amazing weight-loss blossoming, congratulations - might I ask how? Have got my Shred DVD all fired up, but promised DH I wouldn't get stuck in until 10 weeks post-DD (she's 9 weeks today).

Bonsoir · 19/11/2010 11:16

pickledsiblings - that's a lovely cape your has got! I have a very nice (navy) cape myself which I am wearing at every opportunity! Lots around for big girls too...

Bonsoir · 19/11/2010 11:16

your DD has got

ReineDeSaba · 19/11/2010 11:34

Zembo am thinking of you..take care of yourself.have said a prayer for you.

will come back later to post on the rest.

blossoming · 19/11/2010 11:37

redllama, I've given up sugar completely since Easter. I followed the advice of Ian Marber in 'How Not To Get Fat'. And shredding 5 times a week since May.
It sounds very difficult but I've given up smoking in the past and treated giving up sugar in the same way. I really don't miss it any more. Hopefully therefore, maintaining this weight should be okay.

pickledsiblings · 19/11/2010 11:46

I'm not that much of a big girl Bonsoir. DD is 9 and she's almost as tall as me. Her cape would have been lovely on me if only I weren't twice as wide as her.

I do love capes. I used to wear a nurse's one (I am not a nurse!), green with red lining when I was young(er) and frivolous. I unearthed it the other day and nearly died of Blush. Did I actually wear that?!

I'm sure you all have previously worn items of clothing that would cause major Blush. Come on now, do spill.

Bonsoir · 19/11/2010 11:51

I'm a massive declutterer, so don't have things hanging around in my wardrobe for years. The few exceptions to that are things that were wildly expensive and that I still love, even though I have no occasion to wear them. And a few bits of evening wear that I haven't been able to squeeze into for a while but that remind me of happy times!

40deniertights · 19/11/2010 11:53

Can I ask for boots advice now? I would like new black casual boots. Not completely flat, leather, pref knee high rather than calf.

these?

holland would jeans tuck in?

OllieWollieWoo · 19/11/2010 11:55

Love the sound of a W&A Flash Mob! We would be like that T Mobile ad at Liverpool Street Station only dressed in Janice's! DH was not v talkative about his flash mob experience last night (hungover) but it turns out it was a party for 600 people, in a disused warehouse which was kitted out with bars, chill out zones etc. There were 60 professional dancers mingling in the crowd and then poor DH and 9 other Management Team members had to do their bit on a stage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So wished I could have been there but am going to ring his secretary to find the video footage tho! Watch this space!

Bloss - great news re your weight. Think you deserve a new purchase as a well done treat!

Just had a good look at the Warehouse website which I have not done for ages. Liked the following:
navy dress also comes in grey
this could look stunning on the right figure ie not mine!
navy merino dress which looks a bit see through to me - shame
Finally cowl cardi

Bonsoir · 19/11/2010 11:56

40denier - I much prefer the second of your two choices.

40deniertights · 19/11/2010 11:58

Me too. Would jeans tuck in do you think? Or might it be a bit snug. Suppose you can lace as much or little as needed.

40deniertights · 19/11/2010 12:01

Also for warmth factor
