Sorry to hear about your dd dolcee. Hope things improve soon.
Glad to hear your family were better behaved this time ollie.

I wonder what an avid and wise Christmas party would be like. Where would we have it? What would you wear? (Complete fantasy obviously!)

Roma meet Donna - I like it unbelted and probably with bare legs.

vinvinoveritas · 12/11/2010 21:29

Grin Roman glad I am not alone- everyone seems to love dress down Friday at my place, and even happy to pay for the privelege! aargh! The t-shirts are the worst I think, all sort of neon-pink-from-next-for-men-with-random-numbers-on-too-tight eugh

dress up Friday much better, then easy to go straight out to drinks after work

(If only: I have a strict curfew and a messy small child, but I can dream...!)

How are your DCs? Grin (that would be your DSs and your DBurberry)

traceybath · 12/11/2010 21:30

Las Vegas - ok am now thinking Top Gun Grin

Is your DH army or RAF - we have lots of MOD sstuff near us and its very pretty round here . . .

traceybath · 12/11/2010 21:31

Roma - are you thinking of more babies? I totally can envisage you with twin girls.

notyummy · 12/11/2010 21:32

That is lot for one night! We did a night away in the Four Seasons in Hampshire when I just finished bf dd ( about 8 months I think). It is within 30 mins if my mums in case we needed to rush home! That cost us errrr- let's just say A LOT when you added cocktails, dinner, a couple of massages and a cream tea. We both blanched a bit when the bill arrived....

vinvinoveritas · 12/11/2010 21:35

tracey I would love to meet you but the stylish facade would vanish and you would realise, actually, I am a monster Grin

Is it in the day? I could possibly do day, evenings are out due to my curfew Hmm! Would love to meet you all, actually, I have these pictures in my head and I only know what LTEC and bloss look like (wonderful!) I am a bit nervous haha

notyummy · 12/11/2010 21:36

RAF. Not as much down west as the army. Big tri-service place in Bristol, but I know the type of jobs there don't appeal to DH. We know the Cotswolds/Bath a bit via friends- you are right; very pretty!

traceybath · 12/11/2010 21:36

I know - I mean just think of what one could buy on NAP for that Wink

blossoming · 12/11/2010 21:36

That's crazy money *tracey. What about Babington?

OP posts:
hf128219 · 12/11/2010 21:38

Yes, I am a sucker for nice hotels too. Grin

Romanarama · 12/11/2010 21:38

Go to Vegas NY. That would be fun. I read that the US defence budget is equivalent to the sum total of the next 27 biggest defence budgets. Isn't that amazing? Especially because something like 26 of those are US allies.

Tracey I cancelled - I ordered a 32A wonderbra from Figleaves with the Gift20 discount and it was too small, I had to change it for a B. So I decided the issue had resolved itself. I still have teeny boobs (they're not a B in any other bra!), but at least they have filled out enough to exist. I don't look like a model at all, though have the right body for clothes. I feel a bit aged and haggard recently in fact. I think it's the job misery, horrid weather (and possibly age!).

Can you do a hotel mid-week? If so, wait til the last minute for a discount. The times we've been to Babington House we've paid 180 for really nice rooms the day before. I bet they all do that.

hf128219 · 12/11/2010 21:40

I agree with the the 'last minute' thing for a nice hotel midweek if you can. There are bargains to be had everywhere.

Shall I wear the chartreuse version of this to teh school Xmas ball? With opaques and these M&S heels. Yes? What other accessories then?

traceybath · 12/11/2010 21:42

Can't do mid-week as my mum still has busy job so only weekends which I will need to book her in for soon.

Romana - I think you did the righ thing. My boobs are starting to look better after stopping bf a couple of months ago and to be honest I'd rather spend a fraction of the money on good bras than on an op.

So LTEC mentioned a night away - how fab would that be next year before LTEC departs for home.

blossoming · 12/11/2010 21:42

vino, please try and make a meet up. Everyone I've met have been lovely, not intimidating at all. And I was really nervous. It's not as if we're all Anna Wintour!

OP posts:
Romanarama · 12/11/2010 21:42

What a lot of posts while I was writing that - I'm not the only one who thought of Babington (we managed to add more than £600 onto the room bill with restaurant, spa and ..... the shop of course!).

No more babies I think - my dh had pnd last time Hmm.

My dBurberry is a delight. So chic, so practical, uber fabulous. They are very expensive, but I figure it will be marvellous for at least 15 years, so price per wear should be OK provided we don't move to the tropics.

notyummy · 12/11/2010 21:43

Not sure what I would do in Vegas after the initial novelty had wore off!! Bit old (and rhythmically challenged) for the dancer option. Too clumsy fir vat work Grin.

Tracey are you looking for spa type place? O have heard Cotwolds88 is nice but still pricey. Old Rectory also good.

hf128219 · 12/11/2010 21:45

This is meant to be nice

notyummy · 12/11/2010 21:46

for bar work Blush

blossoming · 12/11/2010 21:46

My boobs are perkier and firmer after shredding. Honest.

HF are you going to come to a meet up or are you too scared we'd pump you for too much celeb gossip Wink

loobylu3 · 12/11/2010 21:48

bloss- what is shredding?

Romanarama · 12/11/2010 21:48

Ooh, I like Donna, but I have practically the same in pink from Liberty Sale this summer, so won't be buying. I ordered a red VWA in that sale too, but it didn't arrive.

Tracey how about a B&B in Paris - less luxury hotel, but more of a fun trip? I've forgotten where you live. Have a look at chic retreats
