Sorry to hear about your dd dolcee. Hope things improve soon.
Glad to hear your family were better behaved this time ollie.

I wonder what an avid and wise Christmas party would be like. Where would we have it? What would you wear? (Complete fantasy obviously!)

Mrs J, I hope you don't mind if I comment. Not that I will be of much help - both dresses look fab on you Grin. If I had to go for one it would be the second one.

bunnymother · 12/11/2010 19:23

Damn, window of op to see MrsJ's dresses has shut!

bunnymother · 12/11/2010 19:25

But I did see Cakey's and wow you look sensational!! Loving the outfit (I must have that leopard print top!) and you yourself look like a model. Mellon head is tops!

explorerdora · 12/11/2010 19:28

All this lurking has convinced me I NEED a stripy Janice (who else in the world would have a clue what that means!?). Does anyone have a current discount code?

Thanks and love, love, love this thread. If there's room can I join too? Smile

PlumSykes · 12/11/2010 19:31

Dora, Phase 8 have 20% off everything today.

traceybath · 12/11/2010 19:32

Exhausted and Explorer welcome and the more the merrier Smile

Just drinking lovely glass of red - gift from one of DH's clients and much nicer than what we usually drink.

MrsJ - did you get the coated skinnies from gap - I have them on hold to try tomorrow in the size 2 and 4 as never sure with gap.

explorerdora · 12/11/2010 19:33

Welcome dora, and exhaustednurse.

Looking forward to my glass of wine too traceyb. Love that vwa. I have a problem with red and black though. My mum has worn it to death. I think I'd wear it with charcoal tights instead of the black ones. And suede super high shoeboots! (Yes, those again!)

Thanks girls, have gone with majority plus my own opinion and raring to go wearing blue asos dress + grey belt, charcoal tights (came in useful after all) and black & grey heels. Will try to get a decent picture at some point to show the before & after grooming effect!

Tracey - no not got coated skinnies (yet - going tomorrow Grin) but got straight legs the other week. I'm sure you will need a 0 if the sizing is anything like the same. After a few wears the 4s are baggy & don't even go back to being that tight after a wash. Might have to find a tumble drier to borrow!

Right am off to get drunk eat.

AllBuggiedOut · 12/11/2010 19:41

AArgh, urgent footwear crisi - is anybody there???

Can I wear Janice with brown lace tights and heeled brown brogues? Or is that just silly Confused Have realised that have no winter heels...

TIA!

notyummy · 12/11/2010 19:46

Bugger - no size 10s left in the coated skinnies already!!

ABO - If I am honest that description sounds a bit odd - you would have to try it on and see? Are you going to be outside a lot, or could you suffer a little in more summery heels and nude fishnets or something like that?

traceybath · 12/11/2010 19:55

I'd say no ABO - what else have you got? I'd go for opaques ideally black or charcoal with shoeboots or high platform courts.

carciofi · 12/11/2010 19:55

LTEC, you look gorgeous!
So do you, Bloss. I like the stripey dress (get a size smaller) and the two dresses you already own.

Missed your photos MrsJ, have a nice evening.

Gorgeous dress, Tracey and very annoying about the coat, DT.

Zembo, it was just the booking in appt/blood tests. The scan is in 3 weeks. I probably should have booked a private scan somewhere to make sure everything is ok but it is too awkward to take dd.

Romanarama · 12/11/2010 19:59

Have had a skim - I want to see cake's pic because I also went to the hairdresser two weeks ago with a pic of Tamara M with her new hairdo! But cake's pic seems to have gone. Good actual cakes on the profile though, which reminds me that I'd better make a plan for ds2's. He's requested an underseascape with a shark and octopus!

I've decided to try to cut down on the shopping a bit as really have a lot of wardrobe choice at the moment. Did succumb to the outnet 80% off sale today though Blush

Welcome all the newbies.

Bunny if I had twin girls they'd be Fiamma and Elettra. I would love to have twin girls.

PlumSykes · 12/11/2010 20:11

Evening gals,

Last night here without DH, have ordered myself a Thai takeout to be delivered as a sneaky treat.

Had shopping success, for what seems like first time in ages today.

Picked up this, and I love it. Am currently wearing with a jewelled bib necklace I picked up in H&M, is like this, only for £8. When the Red Direct one finally turns up, it can go right back again.

Tried this leopard coat too. So not me, usually, but I loved it. REALLY don't need another coat, but it is FAB. So maybe... Also in Zara, I tried a fair few gilets. Was wearing this silky dress today, def think the gilet added something, and think I would wear at home in place of a sweater/cardigan so long as I don't get one that's too bushy.

Am glad that the jumper, at least, is a success, as my Phase Eight order came today too. All going back, even Diana, which I was so excited by. Agree with Bloss that it's too long, but also not so nice fabric and just generally not good. Colour also not as good as on screen.

Lots of the Xmas presents I ordered have started arriving. Have to keep squirreling them in the attic rooms, away from DD, will have a proper rummage through with DH at the weekend.

Oh, Fleecy, are you still after a pair of the Westwood-esque pirate boots? They have some in Primark, for £30, in a honey-ish colour. Look quite promising.

AllBuggiedOut · 12/11/2010 20:15

Thanks - have brown shoe boots with heel but they don't look right at all. Bugger. Hasbeens only summer heels that would be even vaguely possible...

pickledsiblings · 12/11/2010 20:18

Plum that trapeze sweater looks gorgeous, such a flattering shape and length (for a sweater). I may have to investigate further although I am rather short of arm so it might not work on me.

PlumSykes · 12/11/2010 20:25

pickled, I have the arms of a midget also. Sweater comes over hands a little, but not too much-and once I've accidentally machine-washed it, not at all.

LetThemEatCake · 12/11/2010 20:26

nearly half a thread in two days!!

Roma have put photo back on for you

welcome newbies!

MrsJ perfect outfit. Enjoy!!

Plum great shopping! I bought same H&M necklace last night. Love the dress you were wearing today, also that sweater is fab. The Winter Breton Wink

have a good night all!

LetThemEatCake · 12/11/2010 20:26
