Sorry to hear about your dd dolcee. Hope things improve soon.
Glad to hear your family were better behaved this time ollie.

I wonder what an avid and wise Christmas party would be like. Where would we have it? What would you wear? (Complete fantasy obviously!)

cake and I have both had eBay success with red coats. Although admittedly mine is not as nice but it was only a fiver and is a good fit so can't complain!

I have an eBay search saved on the Bec but it's never yet come up - think it's fab. I have to say, I think the two you already have are best.

Could you belt the grey one to give it shape? Might just be the pics but the stripe Janice looks a bit big for you? Not as nipped in on the waist. Love it under the jacket as you say.

Fleecy · 12/11/2010 14:18

yangy I prefer the heather brown to be honest. think cream and black a little stark unless you're doing a smart monochrome thing.

Fleecy · 12/11/2010 14:19

pickled that's what I do when RL shopping. Wear something I feel fab in and if the new stuff doesn't look as good or better, it ain't happening.

pickledsiblings · 12/11/2010 14:31

DTI10 Was it the Zara one you had on order?

monkeysmama · 12/11/2010 14:32

I think the Janice looks too big too. Great under the jacket but too big on it's own. The green one swamps you! The second one (you already own?) looks fab and I really like the sequin one too (I would - black & sparkly) but think you might consider sizing down in that too. You look lovely in all of them really!

monkeysmama · 12/11/2010 14:33

Heather brown is quite pale in rl & nicer imo. I have dress and jumper in it Yangy.

Just had a quick look at your pics Bloss agree with others that you could size down in everything (don't think can comment properly until you've got the right sizes on) - and like the two you already own best.

Zembo · 12/11/2010 14:47

Anyone seen any good sweater dresses recently?-natural fibres only. A few nice ones at gap cashmere one, Cake's dress, but might be too shapeless on me and though this was sparkly, but actually printed pattern

notyummy · 12/11/2010 14:48

Bloss - agree with what everyone already says. FWIW, I found the P8 Ponterosa dress I bought was quite big and ended up getting it altered - they didn't have any 10s left. Def think the dress could do with being smaller and more 'nipped in' on you to show off the benefits of all that shredding!

notyummy · 12/11/2010 14:50

They are all nice Zembo - I think the first of the three could potentially be the most versatile. Depends on where you thinking of wearing it I suppose.

bunnymother · 12/11/2010 14:52

Bloss - am going to swim against the tide - you look fab in Diana. Although would be better in smaller size. Think the too fleshy one is good, too. Sequins dress better in size down? Don't like other P8 dresses. Feathers and Bec are terrific - def the ones to compare others against.

DT - I would have been so annoyed about that!

blossoming · 12/11/2010 14:59

dt, that's dreadful. I like wit and I like Red, but I'm constantly wondering, where are the @&@& clothes?

Thanks for all your lovely comments. Is janice a keeper though. School run beckons.

Thanks NY Smile No not dairy intolerant (live on yoghurt, mmmm) and am just careful of carbs after 5.

Bloss you look gorgeous but agree you need to size down on all, inc the Janice. Think it looks fantastic but you need an 8-10

DT that is so annoying about the coat Angry. Echo Fleecy to say that we have done well on ebay, seem to be quite a few to be had too ... worth a look?

okay for limited time Mellonhead pic on profile, in outfit I described this morning (new silk leopard print Zara blouse etc)

OWW this is the pic I posted the other day La Mellon Sorry abut last night, You always sound so generous-natured.

Looking good cake

Love it! I tried wearing my red coat over my leopard print dress (60s style) but despite the retro style, it looked horribly OTT. This however is fab! I have some pointy red shoes somewhere - should dig them out.

What do people think of pointy shoes? They've been coming back in for aaaages according to mags but I rarely see people in them. I have a red patent pair and a black patent pair and like them both but never wear.

monkeysmama · 12/11/2010 15:28

Stunning Cakey.

notyummy · 12/11/2010 15:32

I think pointy shoes can look v elegant. I had a stripey silk pair years ago (sounds odd but they were lovely) and I LOVED them. The heel snapped and was unrepairable. DH (unbeknown to me) toured all the shops in Leeds with the other shoe pre-Christmas asking if they had anything like it. Bless!! (There wasn't Sad)

LTEC - Really smart outfit. Very chic.

Fleecy · 12/11/2010 15:34

See cake I nearly bought a leopard print blouse with the Warehouse 25% off promotion yesterday but held back and was all restrained. And now you've made me regret it Grin

Fleecy · 12/11/2010 15:34

Oh bless yoru DH - how kind!

DTI10 · 12/11/2010 15:41

I have massive feet too - you must have all guessed by now with my shoe purchasing rants!

I bought the "Belinda" shoe from LK Bennett in size 42 and in red too. Quite pointy and they do not make my feet look that long, yes longer than a rounded toe but not penguin long!

gotta go, still at work so need to work!

blossoming · 12/11/2010 16:05

Looking amazing cake. I think skinny jeans really suit you. You look like a model, teeny tiny.

zembo, this is the jumper dress I'm wearing today. Fitted, I'm sure it would suit your petite frame.

yangy, dress was clingy. I wore it with a spanx half slip. But then, I'm an apple, and that's my problem area.

There was something else, I've forgotten..
