Oh yes, hells forgot to say I had a real 'aww' for your poor DS to have that happen when he was being so nice Sad

Might send DD to you. She came back from playschool today and told us there was a new girl there but nobody spoke to her. I suggested perhaps she might want to talk to the new girl tomorrow and she just shrugged and said she might when this girl has been there a while. Little charmer!

DolceeBanana · 01/11/2010 14:52

Dare I admit I have house shoes...Blush. I hate slippers......

DolceeBanana · 01/11/2010 14:53

Carciofi - have you tried Formes maternity clothes?

MarshaBrady · 01/11/2010 14:54

Lol at your dd fleecy. Sweet too.

Carciofi I agree. I bought one dress (black stretchy) which I wore in last month. Washed it every night. Wore normal shift dresses up until then.

Huge hole in market for nicer maternity stuff.

LetThemEatCake · 01/11/2010 14:54

Great carciofi, I'll pm you!

In awe of your industriousness cake as usual.

Can't wait to hear your report roary!!

I hate the shoes off rule. I hate feet and hate socks. But love the transformative powers of shoes.
I wear ballet flats or black Celtic sheepskins round our house.
I do an hour's ironing once a week. When we lived an hour away my mum used to visit once a week and did the ironing. Including dh's boxers. The shame!!!! She doesn't iron now we live next door.
Dh loves shirts but I get stressful if he's wearing one of his nice G&H ones for a meeting in London. My ironing is not that good!!

DolceeBanana · 01/11/2010 16:05

I wear similar Bloss...hate shoes off rule!

Yes, we are living parallel lives ....

roary · 01/11/2010 16:05

I come from an entire nation of shoes off. Snow from Oct to April. It's practical!

hellsbelles · 01/11/2010 16:35

fleecy Grin - you have to admire her honesty! I think the my-wardrobe invite is linked to the whole vogue thing. They are doing a lot online as well.

LTEC - shoes on, shoes off...argument about whether it's a class thing and whether people should be expected to take their shoes off when they come into the house.

I personally would never ask someone to take their shoes off when coming into the house as I side with Tracey on this (though we do take them off ourselves as the carpets are light)...but I actually don't mind too much if someone wants me to (though I know DH hates it as he has horrible feet and usually has holes in his socks).

LTEC - Very impressed with your pumpkin plan!

Roary - I do hope the bug subsides soon and you get a sick free zone!

carciofi · 01/11/2010 17:21

Roary, I had Citizens too and sold them as I was quite sure I wouldn't be having another! I think I will buy them again as I had IO and some other brand before and they drove me crazy slipping down. Hope your dd gets well soon.

Yangymac, thank you for the offer but I think I will go through my wardrobe and see what I can actually wear.

Dolcee, thanks, will check Formes.

LTEC, mini pumpkin risottos sound fab.

DD is singing "my mummy is my mama is my mummy", very cute.

ltec am on the Grazia/Phase Eight thread!

Anyone else think Phase Eight is good this season??
Just bought thiswww.phase-eight.co.uk/fcp/product/warehouse/Jerseywear/Tiered-Cardigan/300812019

May wear over black skinnies and white or striped tee,or to dress a silk Boden dress down a bit
www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Dresses/Above-Knee-Dresses/WH229/Womens-Floaty-Printed-Dress.html?NavGroupID=4

blossoming · 01/11/2010 18:10

georgina, saw this oversized jumper on Phase Eight today. Very similar to one that marsha linked to yesterday from NAP.
I've ummed and aahed about that dress in the cranberry, but decided that the v looked too high, and the dress, like a lot of their dresses was too a-line. In the preview, I notice less a-line.
I have bought this top today in the grey and pink, 6 week wait. I think the world is split between floral wearers and stripe wearers, and although I'm a stripe, the colours on this top are my best colours and therefore I'm willing to try it out.

carciofi, I wore a lot of Formes in my first pregnancy, but couldn't find them for the last one. They had a shop near south molton st, but it had closed down. I shopped the entire Mamas&Papas maternity range last time and found them very good.

GeorginaWorsley · 01/11/2010 18:33

blossoming I love both of those!
The Boden silk dress is actually not really A line at all,in fact more of a tulip shape.
I always go for lower necklines due to bust issues!
I t is really flattering on,but it was the grey/gold/purple pattern that attracted me.
I am considering layering it with grey long sleeved tee, grey opaques and shoe boots so I get more wear out of it!

vinvinoveritas · 01/11/2010 19:01

I utterly love the idea of bloss's floral-stripe divide of the world's entire population Grin

PlumSykes · 01/11/2010 19:05

Me too Vin! Am going out tonight , will spend evening dividing people up.

vinvinoveritas · 01/11/2010 19:15

Nice top bloss!

Lots of adorable sounding DCs on here

yangymac good to see you back- your christening outfit sounds fantastic. I agree re maternity wear, I got the most wear out of normal gap merino sweater dresses in a medium instead of a small, up to delivery, and some normal non maternity zara jeans (stretchy!)

hf128219 · 01/11/2010 19:16

Plum Have a good night!

Bloss NY Lovely pics.

What is the actual difference between Touche Eclat and the Terry Eclat de Teint? She created both products. Confused

My goodness it got dark early tonight.

Smile
vinvinoveritas · 01/11/2010 19:19

roary hope DD gets better soon.

No online shopping for me tonight, I skived my first proper day back at work (took annual leave) so currently wondering what to wear tomorrow and fretting about it. They've already bombarded me with work, what have I done..

vinvinoveritas · 01/11/2010 19:22

best maternity tights other than mama spanx (which they don't do in opaque?)

carciofi · 01/11/2010 19:29

Maybe Formes have closed down here, I noticed that the shop on the Brompton rd has closed down.

Plum, have fun tonight.

Vino, hope your first day back goes well.

Georgina, nice dress and Bloss, nice top.

FritziGreenEyes · 01/11/2010 19:34

plum Great blog! Have a good night out. What are you going to wear?

Can anyone recommend a tinted moisturizer. I only have a Estee Lauder foundation which is great but I am a bit reluctant to slap it on before I go to work which is quite early in the morning at the moment.

Hi roary and notyummy! Great to have you back.

bloss Like the JB floral top. I think I like both floral and stripes, but never wear slippers Grin. Guests are allowed to leave shoes on.

I still hope that I'm going to make the 12th. Depends a bit on how work is developing as I have to work on some weekends too. I decided to not fret about the job any more. I'll see how it goes during November and decide then if I have taken on too much.

carciofi How sweet is your DD!
