MIL dispatched to the train station, house back to just me and Dcs at last. It's been a week of many visitors, am glad of the relative peace.

Thanks all for your kind comments on my blog, the weding fayre sure was weird.

Sleepless night here too-DS woke at 3, had him in with us, he slept fitfully, I hardly slept at all. Ugh, feel really thick-headed and a bit sick. Am supposed to be going out tonight, may have to try plug DD into a DVD when DS is sleeping and sneak a snooze on the sofa. Either that or fire up the coffee maker.

Feel have been in jeans and plimsoles too much lately-2nd week of half term syndrome, I guess. Can't wait for DD to go back to school next week so DS and I can hit the shops, even if just for a mooch! I need a Topshop fix!

Ooooh Dolcee - why not C - are there weird goings on there? Wink

traceybath · 01/11/2010 12:18

Oh and my ironing viewing is 'the only way is essex ' I am a classy bird Wink

Yangy - glad christening went well and what a pain regarding moths. John Lewis and Brora do good moth repellent stuff which may protect the rest of your clothes.

Oh and leopard belt on its way thanks to lovely lady in customer services.

MarshaBrady · 01/11/2010 12:39

Lovely photos Bloss and Notyummy! Smile

Yangy christening sounds wonderful.

Plum will read blog.

I don't iron (honestly I know, mn contentious issue, send dh's shirts out that's about it. HUGE drycleaning bill however, anyway am distracted....) but I do watch Gossip Girl Grin.

notyummy · 01/11/2010 12:45

Am LOVING the sound of your christening outfit Yangy - so chic! Can we persuade you to post a pic...?

MarshaBrady · 01/11/2010 12:50

Just read that again yangy, yes your outfit sounds amazing!

monkeysmama · 01/11/2010 12:52

I don't iron either. I hear you re dry cleaners Marsha. Ours bought dd a birthday present!

Well am feeling rather glum. Night out with dp is cancelled. For me anyway. ILs were going to sit dd but mil isn't well. My mum was going to do it but I told her pil were coming so she's made plans. Dp is still going just sadly not with me.

monkeysmama · 01/11/2010 12:54

dolcee- that LKB skirt is gorgeous but sadly a bit out of my price range :(

bloss- I love that phase 8 no- really gorgeous and not too expensive either! It is high waisted is it- can't really tell as no model.
Phase 8 seem to be producing some lovely clothes atm. Does anyone have a code?

yangy* your christening outfit sounds so chic! I do like the Zara dress- v smart.

hellsbelles · 01/11/2010 13:16

lovely pics! I got very excited on teh last thread thinking I could easily catch up - and then realised there was a whole new thread!

Plum - so true about the By Terry, touche eclait alternative. I never understood what the fuss was about until I tried her version. I haven't seen you in RL but from my mental image of you I'm sure the evil artist at the wedding show didn't really think that?! Your M&S haul looks great. I love the dress - I know it wouldn't work for my colouring but it's so pretty.

Fritzi - so glad the party went well.

Tracey - I too just purchased a red By-Terry lipstick - I wonder if we match (it's upstairs and I'm too lazy to go and check the name of it!). I do love her stuff. I really don't suit proper full on make up but her range really does feel very natural and smells wonderful.

Shampoo - I use Kerastase - and fluctuate between the volumising and the sensitive one. I always think its ridiculously expensive but then if I use something else my hair looks horrid.

Vino - urghhh...that man. What more can I say. Though lucky friend. The scarf is wondeful.

Where are you all finding these tweed shorts? Can someone point me in the right directly.

NY - thanks so much for the coat link. I've actually now ordered one as recommened by HF/Carcifio and MM but the one you linked to looks great.

Yangy - can't wait to see the pic!

LTEC - DC's sound so gorgeous

I had a similar feeling about DS. He fell over while standing back to let others go first in trick or treat line up (he loves little children and realised the smaller ones were often getting forgotten at the back).

The older kids laughed when he fell. He was mortified (and quite badly hurt) but put on a brave face. I explained to him later that people hadn't realised that he was hurt and sometimes are just silly and laugh because it's a sort of physical comedy when you see someone fall over. And he replied that he would never laugh at someone falling over - even if they weren't hurt. And he's right - he never would.

hellsbelles · 01/11/2010 13:17

sorry for hugely long post.

FritziGreenEyes · 01/11/2010 13:24

Thanks for starting a new thread cake! I haven't managed to read all posts on the last one properly.

cake and hells You can really be proud of your DCs! I love it when I notice that DD looks out for others or helps the smaller ones at kindergarten.

Still tired and headachy from party and stress at work. Wanted to go sugarfree till Christmas but have already given in with half a spoon of sugar in my coffee and a tiny bit of dark chocolate. It really is addictive stuff...

Will check out links and outfits later!

traceybath · 01/11/2010 13:24

Oh Hells - bless your DS. Your heart sort of melts when they say things like that doesn't it?

carciofi · 01/11/2010 13:25

Hells, your DS sounds lovely.

I feel bad that I didn't do anything for DD for Halloween as we always had a party as children. Next year.

Great photos NY and Bloss.

Yangy, your outfit sounds fab. Any more thoughts on moving abroad?

MM, could you get a babysitter? I use Sitters sometimes.

Looby, maybe Reiss for a pencil skirt? I have a really nice one from Theory.

I ordered a thermal black Splendid wrap but it is so boring, I won't link! I am about to order a pair of skinny Paige maternity jeans and a pair of straight leg COH, book flights to Dublin for Christmas and then I'd better lay low for a while.

That is great they found the leopard belt, Tracey, it is really nice.

MarshaBrady · 01/11/2010 13:25

Aww ds1 is like that Hells Smile. Very empathetic and loves fairness.

I am going to upgrade to Keratase (very wise of you)
