Trick or treat! [hsmile]

OP posts:

hells Like the Gap dress you linked to better than the cowl neck. Might be too short for me though as don't have shredded legs a la bloss or cake Smile. Maybe I get a medium in grey and see how it goes. Am too tired to go RL shopping at the moment anyway so can justify P&P to Europe as I don't go out for lunch/have no parking fees etc.

roary Rocher dress could look fab. I'm just a bit Shock at the price as it is 100% polyester.

FritziGreenEyes · 08/11/2010 15:07

bonsoir That is a fab skirt! Can't do gold but maybe a good alternative for roary?

vinvinoveritas · 08/11/2010 15:09

AArgh it has taken me a week, yes, a whole week, to get the gap website to process an order (mostly baby clothes! yawn)

marsha love those dresses, think IT 42 is a 10

P is doing my head in- what not to say to a recovered anorexic recently triple bereaved: 'you're a big girl' 'you're so heavy!'
Shock
I mean, yes I scoff a n awful lot, but who cares, I am a size 10, ok it's not a 4 or a zero, but I wear size 'S' everywhere, I'm not exactly big- even my distorted self image does not regard itself as enormous anymore. Tsssk.

Ehem love the fashion fairies sourcing Cake's jacket Grin you're all fab!

roary · 08/11/2010 15:09

Fritzi hadn't noticed the polyester thing. I hate polyester.

Yangy linking to Hobbs is always annoying because we can't see your specific thing. I love the Berkeley in kingfisher blue though....which ones are you looking at.

Bonsoir love that skirt but would have to find top. :)

hello yangy hobbs sizing varies quite a bit I find. I currently wear sz 10 tops and sz 8 skirts (work clothes!) when it's normally the other way around. Their jumpers and shirts are quite fitted normally.. jersey fabric is larger sized, er, and dresses I have no idea.

I am already plotting to wear the gold skirt with black top black opaques and super-high black shoeboots on my dress down day Blush

vinvinoveritas · 08/11/2010 15:19

Did you like the useful 'I have no idea' advice Grin I'm good at that

vin To quote bunny: Kick in your DH's shins for such a remark. Unbelievable!

Zembo · 08/11/2010 15:25

Will try and post properly later but mrsj Janice looks so much shorter on me. I think u could easily size down. I'm wearing it now an it comes about 2.5 inches above knee length on my shortie 5 ft frame. I got a size 8 and I know I'm shorter than u.

bunnymother · 08/11/2010 15:30

Cakey - local P8 doesn't have your jacket - sorry tht I couldn't help!

pickledsiblings · 08/11/2010 15:38

Zembo, I am a shorty too and had ruled out the Janice on that basis. I may have another think. Gutted to have missed mrsjuan's pic.

OllieWollieWoo · 08/11/2010 15:49

Hello! Back today from my UK trip. Sad to say it wasn't as nice as I'd hoped - long story but my sisters have fallen out over Take That tickets (don't even ask!) and I got stuck in the middle of all the drama! Older sis decided she didnt want to see my twin sister so wanted to meet up with me in London, thus curtailing my solo shopping trip as she wanted a long lunch (mostly to moan about other sis). Twin sister met up with us later on and the two of them barely spoke to each other - all very tense and very childish. Also the planned day out with my Mum on Fri didnt materialise as I got stuck helping her fix her computer and only had time for a quick lunch! So all in all feel a bit peeved and think next time I shall just creep over, not tell anyone and stay in a hotel!

Shopping wise, I did treat myself to this chunky cardi from Monsoon here and these biker boots from Kew here - such soft leather and v comfy - great with skirts and dresses. I went to the one in St Christophers Place - fab customer service as tried on a few bits and they were v helpful finding matching things to try but didnt over do it iykwim. I loved the back zip knee high boots in black and brown too but had already spent a fair bit on bits for DSs so resisted (wise) but now can't stop thinking about them (avid).

Oh yes - get this, the M&S top (that the rest of my family decided to buy after seeing my link) was nice but nothing special on me (a tiny bit too pale I think) but looked great on twin sis and the pink version really suited my Mum and older sis! Typical!

Not had time to even looked at all the posts I've missed. Hope to do so later. I have to come back to the UK tomorrow for the day to attend my distant Great Aunts funeral (aged 94, thankfully a peaceful end) - my Mum made me feel as if I had to attend (got the whole emotional manipulation treatment) so feel a teeny bit peeved - esp as the flight has cost as much as 2 pairs of the boots I didn't buy! (v wrong of me to think like that I know but its been that kind of a WE Sad)

Sorry for the me, me, me post. Hope all is well in the land of W&A. Any Bunny news????

FritziGreenEyes · 08/11/2010 15:54

Oh ollie so sorry to hear about your weekend. How inconsiderate of your sisters to behave like that! You should go back to London, stay in a nice hotel and do all the things you want. Next meet-up maybe?

blossoming · 08/11/2010 16:34

Yes, ollie, next time arrange a meet up! So sorry you had such a difficult time.

ReineDeSaba · 08/11/2010 16:35

OWW sorry not exactly the trip you hoped for but 2 great buys.

MM I have a leopardprint cardigan I bought yonks ago and I still wear it tonnes..so your sweater is a keeper.

LTEC I think of leather trousers as something only about 7 people in the world can get away with wearing..ditto leather shorts..you and Marsha (in caramel tones)are on that list!I think you'll look great.

everything my pleather dress(h and m bargain)is very similar tothe one you linked to..obviously much cheaperSmile

ReineDeSaba · 08/11/2010 17:07

wardrobe questions ladies..do you have a 'system' to organise it..been pondering since seeing Blossom's pic of stripey tops ogether..I did a big sort yesterday..well put away summer stuff) and usually do whole thing by colour but this time seperated by style e.g long sleeve tops, strappy tops except for dresses which kept as colour..what works best for you.

by the way building myself to post a pic of myself as intrigued by all the house of colour stuff and wondering if someone might be able to name my season.

carciofi · 08/11/2010 17:08

Ollie, shame you got stuck in the middle but at least you got a nice cardie and boots. Sorry about your great aunt.

Vino, your P deserves a good kick for that!

Roma, belated happy birthday.

Roary, I am going to blow the budget on Citizen Ava and Paige skinny maternity jeans and ebay them afterwards. I haven't bought anything yet as haven't put on any weight yet but I am only 10 weeks so there is plenty of time!

Fritzi, Hells, thanks for linking to that Gap dress, I'm going to get it too.

carciofi · 08/11/2010 17:09

Reine, I organise by colour.

ReineDeSaba · 08/11/2010 17:19

Thanks carciofi hope harrods was fun.

That gap dress is good but I really have to stop buying non bf friendly dresses.

Roma happy belated birthday from me too.

Chinese burn bunny..hilariousGrin

AllBuggiedOut · 08/11/2010 17:34

Roary Do you like this DVF A bit £££ though...

Ooh I love this DVF too.

Karen Millen?

Ollie sorry for your loss and disappointing trip.

Love marsha's red dress. And that Reiss gold skirt is fabulous bonsoir

And on the subject of lurex, I worry about the bottom-clinging tendencies of the Ferroro Rocher dress roary Grin
