Ooh thanks Reine! I would love leather skirt or shorts (or a pant Wink) in caramel colour! Grin

tulpe · 08/11/2010 17:41

All you fabulously avid ladies......would you mind popping over to my Soho House thread and giving me some much needed inspiration, darlings :o

vinvinoveritas · 08/11/2010 18:12

roma good to see you around, I love Halloween so must be great fun to get to party every year for your birthday!

oww sorry your UK trip wasn't great and sorry you have to come back here, I think you deserve the boots to compensate for the trauma, think of it as psychological safeguarding or something Confused Grin

Thanks for P advice, have given him a few kicks in the shins but he hasn't got the hint! May need more drastic action vin laces meals with cyanide

FritziGreenEyes · 08/11/2010 18:17

reine Where is your pic? Your DD is gorgeous, and if I may say looks much happier in her shop bought outfit than made-from-scratch-Mary-Poppins.

Have placed Gap order. Not sure about the size so ordered M and S as P&P is not much.

Like boots and cardie too ollie. When is your big bake sale?

FritziGreenEyes · 08/11/2010 18:24

abo Like the second DVF dress, first looks a bit too disintegrated for my taste. The KM one is nice but I'm not too keen on the back twist detail at the neck.

vin Didn't you mention something about having to move soon? Any plans yet?

Every once in a while I organise my wardrobe by type of clothing (trousers, dresses, shirts etc) and within each category by colour. It all gets mixed up within a week and I can't keep it up.

notyummy · 08/11/2010 18:25

Mrs J - Here is the feathers dress that Bloss receommended for you. I have been eyeing it up and I think I am similar build to you: feathers in sale!

Just back from work. Nipped out to buy dd tights to go to a party in and this adorable dress for her just fell in my bag...I also ummed and ahhed over this for her but didn't in the end. They have some lovely party dresses in there for little girls.

blossoming · 08/11/2010 18:32

Lovely dresses there abo. I love dvf, and that first one is quite a different style for her. I see what fritzi means though, and that off the shoulder would annoy me about the second. Great autumn colours though.

vinvinoveritas · 08/11/2010 18:45

boring but cosy

blossoming · 08/11/2010 18:51

Who has Red magazine? How squished do Nigella's boobs look on the cover? But I love the Tiffany advert on the first few pages: snowy family scene and two little girls in gorgeous grey coats. Must find one for dd.
vin, when are you going to show that P of yours ghe door?

FritziGreenEyes · 08/11/2010 18:53

Don't have new Red mag yet but why is it always Nigella on the December issue? I know she is the Queen of Christmas but it gets a bit boring after a while... Will add magazine to DH's next London shopping list (plus stripey Janice and Maldon sea salt from Waitrose).

vinvinoveritas · 08/11/2010 18:58

bloss Nigella's boobs are always squished! That is why she is famous!

I am hoping to show P the door pretty, well, very soon, I can't believe I'm finding it so difficult. Not emotionally difficult I definitely do not love him, just practically if that makes sense. He's now doing some of the childcare and claims he has nowhere to go Hmm

LetThemEatCake · 08/11/2010 19:10

does nayone remember the all saints skirt I was keen on?

was ludicrously short and very heavy. Did not buy

but how do we like this as the middle-aged, not-going-to-Ibiza-anytime-soon version?

OP posts:
blossoming · 08/11/2010 19:13

What would you wear it with ltec?

blossoming · 08/11/2010 19:16

Apologies if this has been linked to before, but WOW gold dress. Perfect for roary and abo.

blossoming · 08/11/2010 19:18

I've just seen the Janice stripe. I LOVE IT!!

notyummy · 08/11/2010 19:31

Great skirt LTEC.

PlumSykes · 08/11/2010 19:32

Grrr! Have spent whole day hanging round for HV, who didn't turn up. Time that could have spent in shops, celebrating end of half term, all WASTED.

Never mind though, thought Plum, at least Mr Plum is away for the week, so I can spend the evening online, shopping and talking clothes with my WAGs. Only now, have just been given some too-good-to-decline freelance work, with a deadline of tomorrow morning, first thing. As I said, Grrr!

Hopefully will be back later, when all is finished.

PlumSykes · 08/11/2010 19:35

Oh, before I finally do go and do some work, are any of you gals a size 4 shoe? Have unearthed a pair of plain black leather French Sole ballet flats, that are actually a 5, but too small for my very-standard-size-5 feet, so would fit a 4/4.5.

Let me know, and I shall bung in a jiffy bag.

carciofi · 08/11/2010 19:35

Fab skirt, LTEC.

Love those DVF dresses too!

Pretty dress, NY. I just ordered this dress for my DD for Christmas day.

PlumSykes · 08/11/2010 19:46

Hmm, not done any work yet. But have added 7 things to my Phase Eight basket.

FritziGreenEyes · 08/11/2010 19:47

Gorgeous skirt cake but have the same question as bloss: Which top?

plum Good luck with your work! How annoying about HV. Hope you can have a nice relaxing day tomorrow.

notyummy Lovely dress for DD!

vin Didn't you mention P has houses? Couldn't he just live there? Must be a very hard time for you even if you are not emotionally attached to him anymore.

notyummy · 08/11/2010 19:48

Plum - GET OFF THIS THREAD AND DO YOUR WORK.

We will be delighted to see you when you have finished. Grin

Zembo · 08/11/2010 20:19

Ladies you've been busy today, so many gorgeous links to oggle over!

Firstly Roman a very belated happy birthday to you, celebrations sounded like fun.

Reine and others thanks for you lovely messages re: my pregnancy (which still feels strange to write down!) and the announcement. Tracey I think my DH is being very very good about it actually, he's gone into practical thinking mode e.g. 'you'll have to get rid of that stupid coupe car you drive now' Grin 'how are we going to accomodate all the little monsters', and 'you'll have to work full-time to afford school fees' (not on your life nelly) etc etc...this is preferable to fundamentally having a problem with having a 3rd child..He even told me I looked sexy in Janice Shock and her never ever compliments me. I am however wondering if it's not doing much for me either!I'm not as drawn to stripy Janice as worried it might have a further shortening effect on me - did Grin that you love it though Bloss

Tracey hope you're feeling rested now that you've got your house to yourself.

Marsha like the dresses and green shoes you linked to.

Cake you must get the sparkly phase 8 no, can totally see you in it. Like the skirt too.

Notyummy lovely dress you got for your DD, prefer it to the one you deliberated over.

Carciofi I've realised I've hardly got any maternity clothes from previous pregnancies either - got rid of most of it, so may join you in buying some good jeans. Still aiming to wear normal clothes for as long as physically possible though. Have you told many people yet? I'm itching to tell people but a bit too early really.

AllBuggiedOut · 08/11/2010 20:28

LTEC think the skirt could work if it's short enough. Looks a trifle knee-length in the picture though Confused

Is it only me that thinks that if the P8 gold dress is clinging to the mannequin's bottom in a way that reveals the individual cheeks, it's going to be dreadful on anyone IRL? Or do I just have the wrong underwear?!

Just heard from DH that he missed his train, which means he's going to arrive home in the middle of Spooks, and I've no way to record it. I have warned him that although dinner will be cooked, he will have to serve himself and that I won't be conversing with him until 10pm [evil wifelet emoticon]

carciofi · 08/11/2010 20:38

Zembo, I found out that my dad told a few people (although he was sworn to secrecy and I only told him because I am not taking my dd to New Zealand now and he wanted to book her flight) so I have told more people than I would have otherwise. My dh has only told his mother!
